The family is actively working with medical professionals to transfer Emily closer to her home state to allow her loved ones to be more present during her recovery.

However, her family clarified in a March 7 GoFundMe update that this was not the case. They stated that while Emily Willis was receiving treatment for personal struggles, she had not suffered a drug overdose. They also revealed that Emily had retired from the adult industry nearly two years ago to pursue new aspirations in other areas of entertainment.
