Mike Stabile of the Free Speech Coalition is this Week’s Guest on Adult Site Broker Talk in part one of a two-part series.

Since over a decade ago, journalist and documentary filmmaker Mike Stabile has written about and advocated for sex workers and sexual discourse. His work has appeared in the New York Times, the Daily Beast, Salon, Buzzfeed, and Playboy, among other reputable publications. The Advocate named his documentary Seed Money, which examined the life and philanthropic endeavors of pornographer Chuck Holmes, one of the Best Documentaries of 2015.

Stabile established Polari Media to facilitate communication between non-traditional communities and enterprises and the public. Since 2013, he has overseen communications for the Free Speech Coalition. Their mission is to safeguard the liberties and rights of adult industry employers and employees.

Their organization serves the communities it operates in as a leader, a resource, and a tool. They demonstrate a sense of activism in their efforts to combat the social stigma, misinformation, and discriminatory policies that impact individuals employed in or near the adult industry.

They have been engaged in and triumphant over seemingly insurmountable challenges for over three decades, traversing from the Supreme Court to the electoral arena and back. Our sector is confronted with near-constant scrutiny and assaults, but we have personally witnessed that in the end, we prevail when we unite in opposition.
