Kajali Alijah Camara has been arrested in Seattle for shooting 27-year-old Anthoni Jamez “AJ” Orozco.
The 20-year-old Camara dated the 17-year-old for about two weeks. When they broke up, she reported her PlayStation missing to Seattle Police and believed Camara was responsible.
Only there was something on that Playstation, an intimate video of the young girl, which Camara was thought to have posted online without her permission.
Orozco accompanied the 17-year-old girl and two of her friends to confront Camara.
When Camara saw the teenage girl approach him, he said something to the effect of “I’m not doing this today,” according to court documents. He then pulled out a gun. Orozco stepped between the teen and Camara and tried to verbally de-escalate the situation. He was then shot in the abdomen. Following the initial shot, Camara pointed his gun at another unnamed person in their friend group and pulled the trigger, but the gun malfunctioned. After the malfunction is when Camara ran out of the parking lot.
