I have a question I want to ask you today … do the extra-curricular activities of a person have a direct effect on their work? I’m talking about things that take place outside of work, things people do in their personal lives.

Aubrey Gold pled guilty to conspiring to murder her boyfriend. Aubrey Gold admitted to the crime. This wasn’t just an accusation, she actually pled to the charge and as recently as last week testified against one of the other two people who were party to the murder of her then-boyfriend.

Aubrey Gold was in more than 100 movies. In October of 2021, she ended up pleading no contest to accessory to murder. As a part of her plea deal, she’ll serve the next ten years in prison.  In short, she was one of three people that took part in the murder of her boyfriend.

So now that we know she did something so atrocious does that make all the movies she’s ever starred in worthless? She made some good movies while she was in porn, but now that she’s in jail for murder, do we pull those titles?

News broke this week that Jay Sin was arrested. The official statements made it sound like he had just been arrested. But it turns out that isn’t the case. It took a lot of digging but I finally got the story straight and I was able to obtain the actual court documents to support it.

Jay Sin was arrested on June 22, 2020, for a crime that took place in 2016. His arrest was by the US Department of Justice. He pled guilty on November 10, 2020, to one count of “Access with Intent to View Child Pornography, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2252(a)(4)”.

Instead of the normal 20 years, the government recommended a sentence range of 51 to 63 months, mostly because he had no prior criminal history. It is said (by those close to his camp) that he will be released in April of 2023 at which point he will be a registered sex offender.

At that point, it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of his guilt. He pled guilty to the crime. Period. The time to debate his guilt is innocence is now over.

He is guilty of the crime of “Access with Intent to View Child Pornography.”

So now what?

Well, he’s not the first person in porn to be charged with a crime. We’ve already talked about Aubrey Gold, but there are more.

When Mercedes Carrera was arrested and accused of abusing a little girl as young as 9 years old, the entire industry was mortified — and rightfully so.  But 395 of her movies are still available on DVD at retailers nationwide. That doesn’t include all of the digital downloadable scenes from the Internet. She’s done an estimated 533 scenes (according to IAFD), and to my knowledge, almost every one of them are still available. 19 of those are from Evil Angel.

I went through AVN’s website and I could not find any statement about any company pulling any movie she starred in after being arrested on charges of having sex with a child under the age of 10, as well as possession of a controlled substance while armed with a handgun. I thought maybe AVN missed the story so I visited XBIZ.

They too have extensively covered the Mercedes Carrera case. I did not find a single statement by any company that she worked with in regards to her arrest.

When Marsha May was arrested for getting three underage girls drunk and then having sex with them, we were all equally as horrified. Marsha May was arrested on multiple charges, but mostly for having with a pre-pubescent 12-year-old little girl as well as her two friends, (also underage), they were 13 and 14 at the time. She then filmed it and had the video footage on her phone when she was arrested. Within days of being released from jail, Marsha May was back at work. Not a single person called for her movies to be removed from shelves.

These are performers who were accused of having sex with little girls. Actual sex with underage children. Porn Star Marsha May herself admitted to felony child abuse. According to IAFD Marsha May has starred in 15 videos from Evil Angel.

Ron Jeremy has been charged with 33 counts of sexual assault against 21 victims. Not a single company has removed one of the more than a 2,500 scenes he did. Nor did anyone even call for the removal of any of his movies. 19 of those more than 2500 titles are from Evil Angel.

At Hot Movies, as of today, they have 5,058 movies featuring Ron Jeremy right now.

I really want to know, once a performer or director is arrested, does their content library suddenly become worthless? Should we pull the entire library?
