Longtime adult industry publicist Lainie Speiser has been nominated for Most Popular PR at the upcoming Urban X Awards, which recognize her decades of work behind the scenes in promoting talent across adult entertainment and beyond. Fans can cast their votes daily until August 1 at urbanxvoting.com.
“Thank you, Urban X, for the honor of this nomination,” Speiser said. “I am grateful Urban X has this category for all of the behind-the-scenes people who work so hard and rarely get their due. I love this industry and my clients and everything they have done for me.”
Lainie Speiser, founder of Miss Lainie Publicity, has been working in adult media and entertainment publicity since the 1990s. She began her career just six months after earning her journalism degree from the School of Visual Arts, taking a publicity assistant role at Montcalm Publishing. She rose to become publicity director for titles such as Gallery and Fox Magazine before moving on to Penthouse Magazine, where she became department head and worked closely with founder Bob Guccione.
During her time at Penthouse, she helped orchestrate major national campaigns, including “Rock the Penthouse,” a promotional contest in collaboration with Clear Channel. The contest featured a private party at Guccione’s New York mansion and a concert at BB King’s music club.
After spending more than a decade at Penthouse, Speiser launched her own firm, Miss Lainie PR, which represents a diverse roster of entertainers, including comedians, authors, fashion designers, and adult stars.
Beyond publicity, Lainie has maintained a parallel career in writing. Her bylines have appeared in The Aquarian Arts Weekly, Downtown, Gallery, Penthouse, and Strip Las Vegas. She has authored six nonfiction books on sexuality, including the widely translated “Threesomes: For Couples Who Want to Know More,” and has worked as a ghostwriter for several memoirs. Her books are available via Amazon.
Voting for the Urban X Awards continues through August 1 at midnight PT. The awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 17. More information is available at urbanxawards.com, and you can follow them on X at @UrbanXawards.
