Global advertising network JuicyAds has prevailed in a World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) arbitration case over a domain that was fraudulently impersonating the company in an effort to deceive and defraud customers.
The disputed domain, juicyads.blog, was operated by a third party in Peru who mimicked the official JuicyAds website, including its trademark, logo, support channels, and user interface, in a bid to mislead users into believing they were interacting with the legitimate platform.
In a decisive ruling, the WIPO panel ordered the domain to be transferred to JuicyAds, citing clear evidence of bad faith registration and use designed to exploit the advertising network’s brand reputation for profit.
“This decision is a strong reminder that we will pursue and take down any entity infringing on our intellectual property or attempting to mislead our clients and partners,” said Juicy Jay, founder of JuicyAds. “Our clients rely on the integrity of our brand, and we are fully committed to protecting them from imposters and scams.”
The impersonation site included a fake campaign management area and actively solicited payments from unsuspecting users. JuicyAds stated that the respondent had previously been terminated from its legitimate service for sending fraudulent traffic, further underlining a history of abuse.
Industry attorney Corey D. Silverstein, who represented JuicyAds in the case, called the decision a “slam-dunk.”
“This wasn’t a borderline dispute; it was a blatant case of brand impersonation and fraud,” said Silverstein. “The respondent didn’t just register a confusingly similar domain; they actively used JuicyAds’ trademark, logo, and interface to deceive users, solicit payments, and undermine the integrity of the brand. The panel recognized the severity of the abuse and ruled decisively in JuicyAds’ favor.”
Founded in 2006, JuicyAds holds trademark protections in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and the European Union. The panel found the domain name identical or confusingly similar to the protected JuicyAds trademark and determined that it was used with the intent to defraud.
JuicyAds is urging users to report any suspicious activity or communications that appear to impersonate the brand. The company maintains active communication channels and provides updates through its Telegram and Twitter accounts.
