Hopeless, Holly Randall Productions’ first-ever featurette, starring Casey Calvert and Lumi Ray, was a winner at the XBIZ Awards Show in the category of ‘Featurette of the Year.’

Written and directed by Jeffrey John Hart, Hopeless stars Casey Calvert and Lumi Ray as best friends who forge an intense and passionate bond after Casey is left reeling from a painful breakup and turns to Lumi for support.

“I honestly did not expect to win XBIZ’s ‘Featurette of the Year’ award, but what a magnificent surprise!” said Randall of the honor. “Jeffrey, Casey, Lumi, and the whole crew did such an amazing job bringing this story to life, and we are so grateful to XBIZ for this incredible acknowledgment.”

Hart added, “Holly and I wanted to tell a story with heart, and I think we did that. Casey and Lumi delivered outstanding performances- I lost count of how many times my eyes watered up while watching them bring the story to life. Thank you, Holly, for believing in me!”

Holly Randall was also blessed with the unique privilege of honoring her mother, legendary erotic photographer and filmmaker Suze Randall, with XBIZ’s prestigious Pioneer Award in recognition of her trailblazing contributions behind the camera and significant impact in creating opportunities for women within the industry – a move which prompted thunderous applause and two standing ovations from the audience.

“I was very lucky. These days, the women rule. It’s amazing. But in those days, I had to kick the men’s asses. I liked it! Because if you’re brave and you’re a woman, you can fuck ’em both ways,” the elder Randall cheekily stated before extending appreciation to her beloved late husband and business partner, Humphry Knipe, for his role in their shared success. ”He made me do everything, and he edited everything… I just shot and had fun. If it wasn’t for him, I’d still be a nurse!”
