GoAskAlex is offering advice and specific tips on how people who have undergone an ostomy surgery can make their lives more comfortable with a helpful YouTube clip, “How to Make Your Home Ostomy Friendly.”
The model, content creator, and disability activist, who has been guiding curious viewers with welcome information and assistance about managing a healthy post-op lifestyle on her YouTube channel, GoAskAlexOnline, explains how to make a home more accessible to a person with an ostomy.
Alex says these small but important tips will be useful to those who may be new to ostomy care and management. “It took me a couple of years to understand what I needed to be comfortable at home. Rather than troubleshooting alone, I hope that new ostomates can utilize this instructional video and live their best life possible – as soon as possible.”
Alex has also posted other educational YouTube clips to support new ostomates on their journey: “Ileostomy Q&A (one-month post-op)” and “Ileostomy Q&A (one-year post-op)”, “The Difference Between a ‘One Piece’ and a ‘Two Piece’” and “Why I Use a ‘One Piece’”.
