Gay Porn Star Loses Lawsuit After Accusing Dominic Ford of Being a Rapist on Twitter

LEGAL NEWS GAY

Former gay male performer Mickey Taylor has been ordered to pay over $100,000 in damages. The ruling followed his false allegations on social media platform X, where he accused Dominic Ford (owner of the JustforFans platform) of heinous acts.

Taylor’s tweets in June 2020 claimed Dominic Ford had engaged in criminal misconduct with male models. The High Court in London was informed that these posts insinuated Aaronson as a repeat offender. The online accusations emerged after a personal disagreement between the two, escalating their feud.

Dominic Ford, the mastermind behind the JustFor.Fans website, described Taylor’s allegations as retaliatory and baseless.

This platform, which Ford launched in 2018, allows subscribers exclusive access to content for a monthly fee. Notably, last year, it achieved a commendable turnover of around £30 million, amassing millions of subscribers. Ford’s success in this venture earned him a nomination for XBiz businessman of the year in 2022.

However, these achievements don’t capture the entirety of his career. Under his pseudonym, he was one of the most celebrated gay adult film actors and also managed his own production studio for almost ten years.

Ford expressed his relief at the judgment from his California office, stating the decision felt like a significant weight had been lifted. Reflecting on the trauma the false accusations brought, he emphasized their damaging effect on his business and personal relations. Due to the circulating rumors, many potential collaborators opted not to associate with his platform.

Justice Julian Knowles, who presided over the case, noted in his ruling the severe and far-reaching repercussions of Taylor’s false allegations on Aaronson’s personal, professional, and emotional well-being.

Yair Cohen, Ford’s legal counsel, highlighted the detrimental impact of false allegations, stating they tarnish the innocent and diminish the voices of genuine victims.

Though Ford found relief in the verdict, this wasn’t his sole encounter with such allegations. In June 2020, performer Justin Stone made similar accusations on Twitter, only to retract his statements in 2021, as reported by the Str8UpGayPorn blog.

Dominic Ford made the following statement about the verdict on Twitter.

Gay Porn Star Loses Lawsuit After Accusing Dominic Ford of Being a Rapist on Twitter

Today is a significant day, as the verdict in my trial against Mickey Taylor has been handed down and I won. The total amount, including damages and legal fees awarded to me by the court is almost £310,000. I took Mickey to court after he falsely accused me of a grievous act, claiming I had assaulted Tannor Reed.

During the trial, both Tannor and Mickey gave evidence.  The judge, after thorough examination, found their testimonies to be untrue. He firmly stated he didn’t find Mickey’s allegations against me credible. The claims about any wrongdoing on my part were not only unfounded but deliberately misleading. Mickey and Tannor were changing their stories, making up new stories that were empirically proven to be false, and even trying to obfuscate the timeline of events to try and make their false narratives make sense.

As I sought truth and justice, it was crucial for me that every voice was heard, every side had its say, and that the process was transparent. And in the end, the verdict vindicated me completely and unreservedly.

It’s important to note that false allegations, like those I’ve faced from Mickey Taylor and Tannor Reed, risk clouding the real issues many people in our community face every day. It is paramount to both support genuine victims, but also to ensure their authenticity.

To those who’ve known me and supported me throughout, my gratitude is boundless. To those who had reservations or believed the false claims, I hold no animosity. We live in a time where it’s critical to support real victims, and wanting to believe someone’s distress is noble. But my ordeal underscores the necessity of separating truth from deception.

The damage to my company and to my reputation has been done. But now I’m glad for everyone to see that none of the claims were ever true.

I’m thankful to the court for vindicating me and I also want to thank to my dedicated legal team, headed by Cohen Davis Solicitors.

I hope now to be able to put this episode behind me and continue my 15+ years of work strengthening our community, fighting for our rights, empowering our collective entrepreneurialism and combating discrimination both within and against our industry.
