Former OnlyFans CEO Raises $2.7 Million for AI-Powered Creator Platform “Vylit”

NEWS & PRESS STRAIGHT

Amrapali “Ami” Gan, the former chief executive of OnlyFans, has raised $2.7 million to launch Vylit, a new platform that blends artificial intelligence with the creator economy. The startup, co-founded with Kailey Magder, is positioning itself as an “adult-friendly” alternative to mainstream social platforms, though it will stop short of hosting explicit pornography, much like Playboy’s platform “Centerforld.”

The funding round was led by Windmill Chain Fund, whose backer has chosen to remain anonymous, with additional support from Manifest Financial and Amaze CEO Aaron Day. Vylit’s six-person team is preparing for a launch in December 2025.

“Vylit was built on the belief that earning online shouldn’t depend on a social media following,” said Kailey Magder, Co-Founder. “We’re making monetization approachable for anyone by giving people the tools to connect, share on their own terms, and finally turn content into income. If you’ve ever thought, ‘I wish I could make money selling content,’ Vylit is made for you.”

During Gan’s tenure, OnlyFans became a billion-dollar company by streamlining monetization for adult creators. However, she noted that the platform’s lack of built-in discoverability compelled creators to rely on Instagram or X to expand their audiences.

“That was the main complaint I heard,” Gan explained. Vylit, she says, will combine the discovery features of Instagram or TikTok with creator monetization tools.

Unlike OnlyFans, Vylit will not allow explicit pornographic content. The platform will permit topless material and what its founders call “provocative” content, marketed as a home for casual “thirst traps” rather than hardcore adult videos. Creators must be 18 or older.

AI will play a central role. Vylit plans to allow creators to use generative AI tools to produce and sell stylized versions of their own images. Instead of users generating avatars of fictional stars, as on some AI porn sites, Vylit emphasizes creators controlling their own digital likenesses.

Gan and Magder describe Vylit as a way to lower the barrier for aspiring creators without large followings. “What would stop just any regular person who actually does want to create content and monetize it?” Magder said.

The project enters a competitive space. Other platforms, including adult-focused startups such as pornstar.love, have embraced AI-generated performers or customizable avatars. Vylit’s model distinguishes itself by tethering the AI tools to real creators and their businesses.

Major social networks, such as Instagram and TikTok, have also experimented with AI avatars and AI-driven fan engagement, but with mixed results. Gan believes Vylit can succeed where larger players have stumbled by tailoring its approach to creators who already monetize provocative content.

Vylit is expected to debut in December 2025 as a web-based platform. The company has signaled an emphasis on safety and age verification alongside its AI-driven features, positioning itself as a middle ground between mainstream platforms that prohibit adult material and fully explicit sites like OnlyFans.

Vylit is being hailed as a new era of allure. Guess we’ll find out when they launch at the end of this year. For now, you can check them out at vylitworld.com, and you can follow them on X at @vylitworld.
