Former Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) officer Sean Herman was arrested at his Sumner County home on charges of felony official misconduct. The arrest comes weeks after it was revealed that Herman, 33, appeared in a viral OnlyFans video while in uniform and on duty.
The MNPD’s Specialized Investigations Division discovered the video, which depicted Herman engaging in a mock traffic stop and groping the exposed breast of a female driver. The video, filmed on the evening of April 26, 2024, in a Madison-area warehouse parking lot, was produced while Herman was on duty as a patrol officer.
MNPD Chief John Drake took swift action, terminating Herman on May 9, one day after the video was identified. Despite his termination, the investigation continued, leading to Herman’s indictment. A Criminal Court judge set Herman’s bond at $3,000. Herman had been with the MNPD for three years.
Tennessee law defines “official misconduct” as an act by a public official that constitutes an unauthorized exercise of power, exceeds official power, or violates laws related to the public servant’s office. If found guilty, Herman could face imprisonment and be barred from holding public office in the future.
The video, prominently featuring an OnlyFans watermark for the creator “Jordinswetof” or “Jordin,” shows Herman in his MNPD uniform from the chest down. During the staged traffic stop, Jordin offers to show her breasts to avoid a ticket, to which Herman, using the alias “Officer Johnson,” initially responds dismissively but ultimately complies by groping her.
In an interview with AVN, Jordin explained that the video was intended as a promotional clip for Twitter and featured a consensual, pre-arranged skit. She mentioned that the cameraman was her husband and emphasized that the scene was consensual and filmed on private property.
“The clip was originally intended to be a Twitter promo for views. I do a lot of public flashing, so I thought this would be a fun risqué video with a fan from Reddit who happened to be a local [police] officer,” Jordin said. She expressed disappointment over Herman’s firing, describing it as an overreaction. “It was a skit drawn up by my husband and I, and everything that took place was consensual, on private property.”
Jordin revealed that she paid Herman a month’s salary after his termination, expressing sadness over the situation and calling the charges against him an “absolute overreach.” “He’s a really nice guy,” she asserted. “It seems really petty to further punish a guy for this.”
Herman now faces two felony charges of official misconduct, with potential penalties including imprisonment and disqualification from public office. The case highlights ongoing concerns over the conduct of public officials and the use of social media platforms like OnlyFans for adult content.
The case has attracted significant media attention, raising questions about the boundaries of acceptable behavior for public officials and the impact of social media on professional conduct. Herman’s situation also underscores the complexities of enforcing standards of conduct in the digital age.
As the legal proceedings continue, the outcome of Herman’s case may set a precedent for similar incidents in the future, influencing policies and regulations regarding public officials’ behavior both on and off duty.
