Anna Delvey, the infamous scammer turned socialite, made her official debut on the runway at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday night, marking a new chapter in her public life. The 33-year-old, known for her high-profile fraud case, closed the night as both a model and producer for SHAO New York, part of a three-show lineup sponsored by Pornhub.
Held at The Altman Building in Chelsea, the event was worlds away from the impromptu rooftop show Delvey held in 2023, which took place on top of her East Village walk-up while she was under house arrest. Wednesday’s event, produced by Outlaw Agency, which Delvey co-founded with PR veteran Kelly Cutrone, marked a more polished, professional production.
“I’m really excited,” Delvey said backstage, acknowledging that while she had cast herself, it was still her first time officially walking the runway. “This is my first project, this is a departure from whatever we organized at my apartment last year.”
The night included runway shows for three up-and-coming designers—Private Policy, Untitled&Co., and SHAO New York. Delvey’s role behind the scenes was more than just walking; she helped manage communications, social media, and marketing for the event.
“We’re creating some kind of hybrid communications agency,” said Cutrone, who described Delvey as “tech-y” and noted that her calm under pressure—likely honed from her time at Rikers Island—helped manage the stress of a high-energy fashion crowd.
Delvey’s newfound freedom, having recently been released from strict house arrest, allowed her to fully immerse herself in the production, which included models sporting glittering ankle monitors and a crasher in a paper bag, who was swiftly ignored as the show carried on.
For her final catwalk appearance, Delvey donned a long black leather skirt with a cinched blazer adorned with glittering embellishments on the lapel and wrists, earning cheers from the audience. The night concluded with SHAO New York’s collection, a nod to rebellion, featuring oversized blazers, denim, leather, and disheveled Oxfords.
The collaboration with Pornhub, while unconventional, aligned with the company’s brand. Alexzandra Kekesi, Pornhub’s VP of brand and community, commented on the synergy between fashion, Delvey, and the adult entertainment world, describing them all as “taboo” or “counter-cultural.” She also expressed support for Delvey’s reemergence, calling her “funny” and “smart.”
While Delvey’s ankle monitor remains part of her public persona, her reentry into the world of high fashion shows she’s transitioning into a new phase of her life. Her partnership with Cutrone has blossomed into more than just business, with the pair now living together at Cutrone’s home in the Hudson Valley.
Reflecting on their bond, Cutrone shared, “It’s been a lovely relationship, and it’s made my life better. I think it’s made her life better.”
For Delvey, the runway debut was more than just a fashion moment—it was a statement that she’s back in the spotlight, this time with creative control over her own narrative.
