STRAIGHT

It’s been several years since we learned of the death of OnlyFans star Ali Spice, a true star on the rise.

A judge has sentenced a Florida man involved in a high-speed crash that killed social media influencer Alexandra Dulin (Ali Spice) and two others to 202 additional days in jail, closing one chapter in a case that has drawn national attention since late 2022.

Driver Convicted in Deadly Wrong-Way Crash That Killed Ali Spice Sentenced

The man who was actually driving the wrong way got 37 years in prison. That’s after killing 3 people.

Court records show the fatal crash occurred just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 11, 2022, along State Road 44 near DeLand in Volusia County. Investigators said Devin Perkins, then 21, was driving an Infiniti Q50 at approximately 100 mph, roughly 35 miles per hour over the posted speed limit. Dulin and two friends were passengers in the vehicle.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Infiniti collided head-on with a Toyota Tacoma that was traveling the wrong way on the highway. The impact was catastrophic. Dulin, 21, and the two other passengers, Kyle Moser, 25, and Ava Fellerman, 20, were pronounced dead at the scene. Devin Perkins survived with serious injuries.

Troopers said the Tacoma’s driver fled on foot before first responders arrived, leaving a passenger injured inside the vehicle.

Devin Perkins was sentenced to 364 days in jail for three counts of vehicular homicide and reckless driving causing serious bodily injury. With credit for 162 days already served, he will spend 202 additional days behind bars. The sentence also includes one year of community control, followed by nine years of probation, and a 10-year revocation of his driver’s license.

“They didn’t deserve to have their lives taken by anyone’s actions, including my own,” Perkins told the court. “I’m grateful for the compassion the families have shown me, and I hope that today brings closure.”

Circuit Judge Dawn Nichols said the medical examiner’s testimony about the vehicle’s speed and the resulting injuries weighed heavily in the decision. She acknowledged that some observers believed no jail time should have been imposed, while others argued for a harsher sentence.

The wrong-way driver, 55-year-old Thomas Petry, of Orange City, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash involving death. He was sentenced earlier this week to 37 years in prison.

At the time of her death, Ali Spice was a rising social media figure with nearly one million followers across TikTok and Instagram.

Her father, James Dulin, told local media she had briefly attended college for fashion design before leaving school as modeling opportunities and online influence expanded.

“She carved out her own entrepreneurial path, and she did it on her own,” he said, adding that her social media work was her primary focus.

Following her death, fans flooded her accounts with messages of condolence, while family members urged the public not to speculate online about responsibility before arrests were made.

Both drivers were arrested in April 2023. After a five-day trial, a jury convicted Perkins in less than 30 minutes of deliberation. Family members of the victims addressed the court during sentencing, some expressing a desire for leniency in hopes of closure.

With sentencing now complete for both drivers, the case that began on a dark stretch of a Florida road all those years ago has formally concluded.
