Just when you thought you’ve heard it all, today’s story will no doubt top that…
A woman in western Brazil has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her husband, mutilating his body, and cooking his severed genitals in a pot of bean stew, according to local authorities.
Yep, she went full-blown Lorena Bobbitt on him!
The gruesome act is believed to have been motivated by jealousy and rage after the woman allegedly caught her husband watching pornography. The man, identified by local media as a 37-year-old resident of Acrelândia, was reported missing by relatives. Police later discovered his mutilated body near the couple’s home.
Investigators say the woman confessed during questioning to killing her husband, dismembering him, and adding his genitals to a meal that she prepared afterward. It remains unclear whether anyone else consumed the dish.
Police have not yet released the woman’s identity. Officials are still working to determine the full sequence of events and whether any additional individuals were involved or unknowingly ate the stew. Authorities suspect the crime was a calculated act of revenge.
This incident adds to a string of similarly disturbing cases in Brazil and beyond involving domestic violence and extreme retaliation.
The case follows another high-profile crime earlier this year in Peruíbe, a beachside town south of São Paulo. In March, 60-year-old Celso Marques Ferreira was found dead in a town square, his body missing both his penis and part of his heart. A blood-stained note at the scene identified the alleged perpetrator as Josefa Lima de Sousa, a 65-year-old woman known locally as “Gringa.”
De Sousa later confessed to killing Ferreira after accusing him of being a child abuser. She also admitted to cooking and eating parts of his body.
Additionally, in the Philippines, a 55-year-old woman was arrested in Baguio City last year after allegedly slicing off her husband’s penis with a kitchen knife while he slept. The attack reportedly followed a sexual encounter in which the husband moaned another woman’s name. Though neighbors rushed the man to the hospital, doctors were ultimately unable to reattach the severed organ.
Brazilian authorities have not announced formal charges in the most recent case, but homicide and desecration of a corpse are among the likely allegations. The investigation remains ongoing, with forensic testing and psychological evaluations expected.
