We recently sat down with Rachel Starr to see what she's been to lately.

We've always loved your traditional movies, like "Rachel in the Jungle" from BangBros. That movie will always be one of my favorites.

Rachel in the Jungle from BangBros

Rachel Starr: Yeah, I've made some great movies during my career, but that one, I must say, still gets the most comments about to this day.

How do you think the adult industry has evolved in recent years?

Rachel Starr: When I started in 2007, the idea of making your own movies wasn't a thing. Your goal was to be a contract star. That was the pinnacle of success. Today, working with traditional studios isn't as common. Girls can have a massively successful career without even making a single "movie." OnlyFans has really changed the game.

I know you've done really well with Onlyfans, connecting with those who love and adore you in a way you couldn't ever do before. So tell us, what's a typical day like for you when creating content?

Rachel Starr: That's not an easy question to answer because, honestly, no two days are the same. Some days, I'm creating custom videos for fans, and they have very specific requests, so I might have to find a specific costume or wear a certain color of nail polish.

All of that stuff takes time to set up and prepare. What might end up being a 10-minute video could take 2 to 4 hours to set up and film. Then, there are days when I have to do things for social media. Taking pics for Instagram is very different from taking a photo for OnlyFans.  There are so many rules you have to follow for Instagram, getting that one perfect shot, takes a long time.

What about when you aren't filming content? What's a day like for you?

Rachel Starr: Lately, I’ve been hooked on pickleball. I’ve always had a lot of energy and love staying active, and this sport is the perfect outlet. It’s fast-paced, fun, and keeps me on my toes—it’s become a bit of an obsession!

That sounds like a lot of fun. Back to your OnlyFans, what has been your biggest learning experience since starting your OnlyFans?

Rachel Starr: Being an adult film star and a content creator may seem like the same thing to most people, but it really requires a different skill set.

When you work for a company like Brazzers or Naughty America, you just have to show up and film your scene. You don't worry about anything else. After filming, you go home, and they do everything else to get the scene ready and released.

When you make your own content, you have to do it all. You have to plan the location, your outfit, and who you want to be content with if it's not a solo video.  You have to think about things like camera quality and lighting.

Then, when it's all said and done, you have to edit out the mistakes or bad parts where the sound dropped or something like that. You are also responsible for all of the legal paperwork that goes into the production.

It's a lot of work, and it really makes you appreciate all the behind-the-scenes stuff that goes on at studios that, prior to OnlyFans, most performers were blissfully unaware of.

That sounds like a lot of effort. Is it really worth it?

Rachel Starr:  Oh, for sure. I wouldn't have it any other way. When you work for a company, you make the content they want you to make. When you are on OnlyFans, you make the content your fans want you to make. And you know what it is because you are online chatting with them every day, and they tell you. That one on one connection you get with your fans on OnlyFans is amazing.

What advice would you give to someone looking to start their own OnlyFans or enter the adult industry?

Rachel Starr:  Be true to yourself. Don't listen to the 'branding' advice others give you. OnlyFans is popular because your fans want to get to know the real you, not the you that some PR or marketing person wants you to be. If you give your subscribers that real and genuine connection, you'll be so much more successful.

Thank you, Rachel, for taking the time to catch up with us and let us know what you've been up to lately.
