The XCritic Interview: Lexi Luna

XCRITIC

Lexi Luna

If there was one thing I wish I could do more often, it is to interview the stars of the adult film world over and over again. Yes, I will “fanboy” here for a moment, because I am a fan of these ladies and gentlemen. But my passion, it runs deeper than that. I have worked on many sides of entertainment and publishing. I have covered comic book conventions and adult expos from one coast to another. This place, it is home, and that is because home is where the heart is. The people within this industry, there are none like them across the globe. I mean as entertainers, yes, but I also mean as stunning models, artists, and people. There is so much to who the performers are of the XXX world.

Lexi Luna, she is the finest example of what I mean by depth and respect within this industry. If you read our first interview, you will find out that Lexi was once a teacher. Dedicated to educating this country, and doing it because that is who this woman is at her core. A fearless leader, with a massive sense of direction and confidence. A talented, educated starlet! One who has the firmest grasp of the importance of what happiness, truth, and adventure are in this industry, hell life. For this woman was a staple of positivity in the swingers community long before she was a porn star. It is through all of this that our second interview came to be. Her starring role in the Full Moon Features epic Cassex, a combination of mainstream horror and adult wonder, no pun intended, but you could not write a script this perfect for the five-year industry veteran. Oh, how life imitates art and vice versa. Every year, this starlet has taken on bigger roles, created such unforgettable sexual encounters with every company she has worked for. It has propelled her to a place that she belongs, along with so many other hidden wonders of the adult film world.

So, enough fuss on my part, let’s sit down with Lexi Luna and find out about her latest film, what it was like to cross over to mainstream, and why she deserves that wondrous feat of getting to sit in Don Juan’s hot seat for a sizzling second time. We begin, with a take on the pandemic that had to be told. All I can say is, have your heart prepared people.

Don Juan: You know, Lexi, sitting down with someone who is happy and positive in the most genuine of ways. That is the interview that I want to do. Thank you for joining us and taking time for our readers.

Lexi Luna: Absolutely! I try to only do things that make me happy. Especially after this crazy year that we have had. I am trying to do more things for myself.

Don Juan: Well, before we talk about Cassex and what a huge accomplishment this film is, I would love to ask you about how you were doing. Starting off this interview by telling the world a positive tale within this pandemic would mean so much to me. I know that if there is anyone that has such a tale of positivity, it would be you, Lexi Luna!

Lexi Luna: Oh, absolutely! You know, I really learned about the value of my content. I learned how important it was to be consistent with the content I produced, and to simply be there for people. I think that my fans really benefited from me being home alone. I spent so much time alone with them during this pandemic. It made me realize that I just have the most amazing fans. They are there for me. I am there for them. There is so much change that we all went through together. I want to say to them that it meant so much that they went through this with me. That we had moments where we all freaked out together. There is no price you could put on the value of people who will stand by you. Sit side by side with you when you are going through the stuff we all went through during this thing. We gained trust with one another, and we all grew together because of that. Having that time to sit down, and just chit-chat with them, encourage them. It allowed me to do some different things myself. I feel like I really got to know some great people better. That connection, that is what this is all about. I have told you this before, Lexi Luna, she does not exist without her fans. They are the people who made Lexi Luna popular. So being able to give them time to revel in that. It just made me love them so much more. It is one of the better things that came out of the pandemic for me.

Don Juan: My goodness, now that is one hell of a start to this story. I knew I could put my faith in you woman. Seeing you come out of this pandemic with that type of bond with your fans, that type of drive to make your own content that much bigger, and better. It does not get any better than that. I have said this before to you, I can not wait to see what the future holds for you.

Lexi Luna: There is so much that happened and came to the surface during this pandemic. As you know, many people came out and spoke up about what is happening to them on set. All of these bad things that went on. Having this time for all of us to sit down, reflect on what is going on in the industry, it stuck within so many people’s minds. There are a lot of us who said, “maybe this was not the right way to be treated?” “Maybe this was not something that I should keep to myself.” I think that a lot of the girls that were brave enough to come forward and “out” these producers, speak up about these directors, or even talent that were not treating them the right way. Them walking that path, it is something to be commended. The women of this industry are so special, in so many ways. I am a very fortunate person who has not had such experiences in my career. Times where I needed to shed light on something going so wrong like that. Seeing those girls come forward, and even some guys, their honesty was something wonderful to behold. That was something even more positive to talk about during the pandemic.

Don Juan: There is so much positive change that is forming within our industry. To tell you the truth, that is what makes this business so special. The fact that so many banded together to make things better, and they always have, in one way or another.

Lexi Luna: Yes, that is what has always inspired me to be better. This is something that was not OK with me. I work with a lot of younger porn stars. I am usually the MILF when doing a Girl/Girl scene, so, I took it upon myself to check in on them a lot during the pandemic. When I am on set with them, I remind them that there is no one in this industry who can make you do anything that you do not want to do. I think that the pandemic helped us to talk more about those kinds of things in the open, not just through Twitter direct messaging one another. It matters to talk with someone who has gone through these kinds of experiences, and in a public setting,

Don Juan: This is how I met one of the great loves of my life. I was so proud to be able to show my girl that you can shoot the porn that you want to shoot. You can be a person who decides how your brand is used. More people need to be aware of such things. I have heard so many great stories about you with my own ears from other performers. Thank you for being one of those great people. I have so much respect for you,Lexi Luna. I really do.

Lexi Luna: Good! I really hope that I do. I want to be a mentor, and a beacon of hope for these girls. I want to show them that they can have a brand. They can have it all! You can be independent, or work with an agent. I book my own scenes. I have an agent that books my scenes as well. I have a PR person that can get me work. You can be a person who writes your own story in this industry. I feel that there is not enough exposure to people who are writing their own stories until very recently. I love that we are becoming an industry that showcases these women who are not your typical “porn stars.” I love seeing these people find success on OnlyFans. Success that they had never known before. I don’t think anything is better to a performer than gaining as much, if not more success, tham you would get with some of these companies.

Don Juan: May I just say this, Lexi, being that you were once a teacher. There are so many reasons as to why you deserve to be placed upon the higher pedestal you are. Being a teacher is the hardest damn job in the world. A close second is being a model/actor/performer. That ain’t no bullshit! Those are both jobs where you all deserve to be paid millions of dollars. Not some athlete who can throw around a ball. You being a person who helps performers to gain their foothold back. Make the money they deserve. That is what makes you so special and one of a kind. You are an ambassador for all that is good in this industry.

Lexi Luna: I was very fortunate in this industry. I had a lot of help in the beginning. I am still receiving a lot of help from many places and people. I am lucky to gain a foresight from that, which has enabled me to see something coming ahead, and judge if it is good or bad for my brand. It made me see that the people out there, who are no good for our business, and do a damn good job at convincing so many people otherwise. I just always want to be that person that any age model can come to and say, “hey, I have a weird feeling about this. What do you think?” Then, get an honest, open opinion. I want to have girls be more comfortable to open up about those kinds of things. My DM’s are open to every performer in this industry. I always want them to know that I am beyond happy to help them.

Don Juan: One of my favorite campaigns that I have seen on social media, is the gathering of all sex workers to fight for what is rightfully yours. A lot of people are writing that it does not matter what it is that you do, camming, film work, dancing, or lifestyle gatherings. It is about putting aside our differences, calling others something different, and being a united group. Those people who do not belong in our industry, they succeed when they separate us further apart. We can not allow that!

Lexi Luna

Lexi Luna: Yes, it has also been a very rough road for us as well. When OnlyFans exploded, a lot of people got really upset that we were able to make this kind of money by selling our bodies, for lack of a better word. And honestly, fuck them! It is your body, it is your choice. If you want to ruin your body, working in a coalmine, or, if you want to quote, unquote, use your body for sex work, what is the difference?

Don Juan:I agree!

Lexi Luna: Society has such a hard time with that, because in today’s world, there are more women who make a living doing sex work than ever before. There are so many people against us, who write all of these under researched articles. That in return, creates all this bullshit legislation. These people are not involved at all in our lives. They know nothing about sex work. All they want to do is regulate us. Which is basically taxation, without representation. It is that, plain and simple.

Don Juan: Lexi, you are speaking to a history major, and you speak a truth few realize. Woman, it is going to be The Boston Tea Party in Los Angeles, Vegas, Florida and cyberspace. I have been in this business a long time, and it is very difficult to be that person behind the scenes who tries to help the girls get their fair shake from both inside the industry, and places outside it. But, it is very difficult to show a new performer her value in the business with all the bad people that exist in it today. Their mission seems to be to take the knowledge out of the performers hands and hearts. To make them feel as if they do not have to do anything. That they can be easily replaced. Then, they do not discover what needs to be done after life, and the industry has passed them by. It should not be like that with any performer here. No matter if she is using this industry to fund her schooling. Or she is looking to make a living doing something she enjoys.

Lexi Luna: Yes, absolutely. This is a blessing to be a part of this industry, and to be free with my own sexuality. There are so many people around the world who aren’t. There are people around the world who are being suppressed in ways that are beyond outrageous. The most “human” thing about all people, across the world, is that we all have sex. We are sexual beings, and we have it not just to reproduce. We would not be here without sex. That is how we came to be. So, it is kind of crazy that the thing that separates us, it is also the thing that unifies us.

Don Juan: It is so bitterly ironic that sex has always been used to control the masses. In so many different forms and so many different ways with society. Now that it is getting political again, it is so strange to see that cycle repeating itself. All the studies they have done, with every conclusion finding that it is not harmful. It’s boggling to the mind to try to comprehend. Maybe this is the time that we are able to move past it with all that is going on in the world. Especially with this virus.

Lexi Luna: It is a sad thing to see a new performer come into this industry, full of energy and excitement. Then to find out that it is the whole world against you. It is something so disheartening. You have to stop and think, the people in that eighteen to twenty-four year old age group, they are still developing. Their mind is not quite at that level of true understanding. Yes, our mind is something that is always developing, thinking of new ideas and coming up with different ways of growing throughout this ever-changing life. But, it is in those critical years that models start their careers, and they do get sucked into doing things that they should not be doing. It is sad to think that is what someone’s first experience is. That brings things back as to why I want to be a beacon of hope for people. Be that role model for them. I am really passionate about that, and I wish that I had a way to reach out to more women, and amateur models, just to give them some encouragement. Letting them know that what they read about the industry, is not what the industry is, and can be. The industry is what you make it!

Don Juan: Amen, sister! You said it all right there! There was a performer, I won’t name names, but she has had a tough time in the industry. Bad agents, bad PR people who don’t do shit. This performer is also a very timid soul, and people would never know it by how beautiful she is. I love hearing stories like the one she told me at AVN, the last one they actually had. She told me that working with you was this great experience. She learned so much. She enjoyed the scene and praised you for being this performer who walked her through how to do things and was not scolding her the whole time. Those are the tales I love to tell about our lovely world of porn.

Lexi Luna: That warms my heart that there is someone out there who thinks, and says that about me. It is that kind of thing, just like you said, that we do not talk about among each other. Some performers never get that recognition from a production company. That they are a great person to work with. Maybe if they are lucky enough to be interviewed, they will, but there are just not enough people out there telling our stories. You can bring it back to elementary school as an example. It is a place where we encourage people who share. To be kind to one another. There are not enough role models doing that. So, I am hoping that with my social media plan for the next year, that I can really start encouraging more models by being more active. I want to give more advice, talk with more people, and NOT charge for it. There will never be a price on sharing my experiences and wisdom with the people who really need it the most. I have seen too much of this; “if you want to hear my advice, it is going to cost this amount.” I think that is just shitty!

Lexi Luna

Don Juan: I agree! Darlin’, one of my newer clients. She is brand new to the business. She is an older woman, getting booked with every company and working with everyone. She ran into a couple of the young performers off set. Ladies who are becoming superstars of this industry, and they were so cold. These were ladies who were great friends of mine as well. I told her not to take it personally. Because so many of these gals have been taught to conduct business that way, and it just does not have to be that way. That is what makes what you are doing so valuable, Lexi. It really does.

Lexi Luna: That is why I am so glad that you shared what you did. I am going to check in on that performer and make sure that she is doing good. There are so many personalities in the business. There are so many styles of ways to figure this all out. Again. It is just like school. There is one way that we are taught, yes. But, there are so many ways that we all learn. There is something that you can learn from every performer in this business. Be it a newbie or a novice. Or, even if you have been doing this for a long time. We all have value. We all bring value to the table in one form or another. Even if you do not think that you do bring anything to the table, trust me, you do!

Don Juan: Darlin’, that is what makes seeing you make your own productions yourself, oh, so very special to me. You are one of the top MILF performers in the world. It is a damn shame that you're not booked as much as you should be by big production companies. They are the one’s missing out in selling a hell of a lot of films and scenes. But, this makes me think, their loss, it is the performer’s gain. That is what I see being what pushes this era into something bigger and better for everyone.

Lexi Luna: You know, one of the other things that really came from this pandemic, was a really strong growth within me of who I am as a performer. What I do and what I don’t do and how I share that with my fans. I had such an amazing time getting to communicate with my fans VIA chat and my OnlyFans. I found that I was able to create all of these small connections in the world with so many of them. I got to find out what they want and how easy it is to communicate with them about that. There is something about a fan buying a video, and having them ask me, “how can we connect and create?” Because that is what it really is. There are a lot of porn companies out there, and I have shot with a lot of companies. I have over two-hundred titles with many of them. So, fans get to see me to see me on the internet anytime that they want. But, they can not connect with me by watching one of my scenes. They can connect with me on cam. They can connect with me on OnlyFans and SextPanther. Having those little ways, where I do not have to give everything away for free, means so much to any performer. Yes, I do have some things that I give away for free, but, I think that what the fans are drawn to, is someone like me. I learned that I want them to get to know me better. I feel that I am an interesting person. I am very down to earth. I am the MILF next door, who would really come over and introduce herself and say, “welcome to the neighborhood.”

Lexi Luna

I think that having that “human element” to us is so important. There were so many performers who came before the era of Twitter and Instagram and are saying that those places ruined the “fantasy” of porn. Everything evolves. Everything changes. Even in porn. We can not always be untouchable. Not in today’s world. There has to be a human component. Because that is what other human beings are drawn to.

Don Juan: Oh, yes indeed. I think that in a world that is getting more accepting of sex, we have to put in that “human factor” more than ever. Sex is becoming more open. People are hungry for knowledge and a place to share their curiosity without ridicule. This is one of the most powerful statements I have seen in the modern era, and it comes from you, Lexi. This is an era that is more personal than ever. I watch the message boards with the big companies. It is my job. I see many fans saying that they don’t like what they see a lot of times. Now, you performers have the ability to make porn that fans want to watch. Because porn is never going away.

Lexi Luna: Yes, I don’t think that they are listening to the fans who are putting a lot of money into their pockets. You have to look at your message boards. You have to take into account what the fans think. They are buying paid subscriptions to your site. They are paying customers. That is what a business is! At the end of the day, there are other components to factor in, but this is a business. Just like you get up and review porn for work, I get up and make porn for work. Minding your data, following that data, and doing what that data says. That is analysis, and that is the whole point of everything that we do. Look at Wall Street and what they are doing. They are following the data.

Don Juan: Amen, sister! When I created the Don Juan DeMarko brand. I learned that about one out of every twenty fans are bad. The other nineteen. They pay, and they do not have many outlets to find out who a performer really is. They enjoy romantic scenes. Furthermore, they love expiration. They are deathly afraid to talk about it, though. Like you said, that data is there to be seen, but no one is looking at it. They are also people who love movies. They love acting and story, just as much as they love seeing Daisy Dukes and G-strings. One thing I will say, that is one-hundred percent in agreement with you. I do not see the production companies telling that to the performers. Or, the fans, for that matter.

Lexi Luna

Lexi Luna: I loved, very early on in my career, that my fans love to see me in a very sensual role. I love to see myself in a sensual role. It is not about my fans just trying to agree with me, either. This is how they want to see me perform. Now, do I think that there is a chance that my fans may change their mind one day, and want to see me in a different flavor? Absolutely! That is something normal within the industry. But, what I truly feel they will never want to see me doing, is something that is not truly me. They know that I won’t shine the same way, and that is where getting to know your fans becomes so important, and having them get to know you. If you do what you like, and you do it one-hundred percent. The fans will come, and they will love it! They will want more and be insatiable. That is where they get to that point where they can't be there.

Don Juan: You know, when we first met and spoke, the last time we did this. I could tell in your voice that you were passionate about the lifestyle. We talked about open relationships, swinging and so on, and so forth. It was evident that you are a woman who has taught others to be comfortable with their own sexuality, and it’s expression. Any person who meets you, will see in a flash, that you are that person who understands how opening and freeing sexuality is. The barebones' truth of what this industry really is, it is like you ladies are actually psychologists. You embrace that role, it is just something very special.

Lexi Luna: I always try to encourage people, and encouraging people is not always telling them, “Hey, you have to keep going! You are almost there!” Encouraging people is also about showing people how much confidence I have gained. Yes, I was already confident coming into this industry. I gained three times more the amount of confidence by being in this industry, and by struggling. Do not get me wrong, there was a struggle. But that is the beauty of what we do. As we grow, we tend to fall along the way, and that fucking sucks sometimes. Fuck the struggle! Nobody likes that! That is the only way that you get better. Being honest, and open with that, it has made my fans come out in droves. Even before I came into porn. I tell them, “Hey, look guys, I am depressed too.” I always tell them when I am feeling sad, or scared, just like they might be. It really humanized me and we kind of worked through this all together. I saw my fans coming to me and saying that they were going to be OK. That they were vulnerable, and we were accepting of that within one another. Showing who you are to other performers and people. It is a lot better than just saying it.

Don Juan: Oh, yes, it is, and God bless you for that, sweetheart. Truthfully, I am going to start balling over here. I always start balling when I get to hear your wisdom and ways. Whenever something is involved with Lexi Luna, happy tears are flowing. You are something special in this business, my friend. We need more people like you in this industry. OK, before I really start balling, I guess we better get down to the good stuff. Now, am I pronouncing this right, Cass-Sex? Is that how you speak this amazing title of something you must be so proud to star in?

Lexi Luna

Lexi Luna: Actually, it is Cassa-Sex. Like a cassette tape. I pronounced it wrong as well. As did everyone else who auditioned for the role. My character’s name is Cassandra Essex.

Don Juan: Yes, I have seen that. Darlin’, I want to walk through the whole process with you when it comes to making this film and taking on such a huge role! I am so proud of you, and so many other performers who went out of their way to audition for this project. I remember when Tanya was getting all this rolling. It was such a big deal. These are the things that really make my heart sing for you amazing actors in the industry. This had to be such a great day in the Lexi Luna household when you found out that you landed this role. You have always stricken me as either a movie, or a TV buff. Tell us all about this role if you will.

Lexi Luna: I was heading out to the airport the day that I found out. I was on my way to LA to film, and it was about five in the morning. I guess the email had come in the night before. I opened the email, I read that I had gotten the role, and I said to myself, “Yeah, I fucking did it!” This was something that was so far out of my element. I did not consider myself a movie actress. I love the bit of acting that I get to do in my scenes in porn. It is campy, it is zany, and that is because it is supposed to be. Shooting porn is supposed to be fun. It was an adventure to work and show what I could do, with people who knew absolutely nothing about me. In porn, it is not always about doing the role the right way. It is meant to be comical and over the top. So, that is what made it nice to be recognized by a different industry. I did not realize how much I had homed in on being a porn star, until I got on set for Cassex. Before that, I was a performer only interested in doing porn. The thought had never crossed my mind of that being the best way to do a job in this industry. I am that person that does everything a hundred and ten percent. So, I fully emerged myself in this role and acting experience. This was an entirely different experience. These people on set, the expectations were so different from anything that I was used to on set to shoot a porn. Their people have a different approach to everything. I said to myself, “wow, I am going to be working with real actors today.” You know what I mean by that.

Don Juan: Oh, yes, I do. It is not saying there is no acting here. But the level you see a mainstream actor take things, it is a sight to behold.

Lexi Luna: When I was on the set of Cassex, I was so excited, and yet I was terrified at the same time. I saw, very early, that as that title character. I was going to have a very big responsibility. I learned that this responsibility was to ultimately bring this character to life. In ways that both show me and my personality, but also, showing that I can take direction from the director. Say my lines the way that the director sees it. To see how this character thinks, how she feels, and to be able to carry that all through the production, it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

One of the major things that took some getting used to, was learning to memorize and remember all of my lines. It was a sixty-page script, and I did not know that when I took on this project in the beginning. My character was on every single page. Working on this film, it was a flutter of emotions. It was exciting! It was scary! Everything that you could possibly think of, I felt. That thought was always in my head, “is this the next step?” There were more than a few occasions that I told myself, “this is the big break that you are waiting for!” I have seen some of my friends do it. I have seen so many of the girls perform in these types of movies, and now it is me that is here. Yes, there were those thoughts of, “don’t fuck it up” as well.

Don Juan: How Exciting that had to have been. What a neat story, darlin’!

Lexi Luna: All I could think about on the plane was, “when do I get the script?” That plane trip was filled with so much analysis and thought. “How do I say my lines?” I am so lucky. I have these really positive people in my life who took the time to sit down with me and run the lines back and forth. I had about a month to learn all my lines and create this character within. I got to be honest, it was really easy. I practiced, and I practiced, I fucked up, and then I practiced. I even went to the lengths of recording myself. The whole time that shooting took place, not for one moment did I ever say to myself that I could not do this. I enjoyed the challenge, and not backing down to that, it made all the negative experiences' people talk about, come up. I knew that my excitement would carry me through, what this character needed to be. We had an amazing director that you could talk to. I had so much amazing support. Ultimately, I even got a little pat on the back for attempting an accent. When I had read the description of the character, it said that she was Eastern European. I said, “I can do Eastern European.” Having all that come together, I learned that it is all about what people perceive it to be. There was lots of fun when it came to creating this character. I felt very confident in the work that I did. I also felt like I was treading in new territory, and getting to figure out how to do that. It was, again, so much fun. I was also very lucky to have other actors around me who were in the same state. Taking on the same challenge for the first time. That helped me out in so many ways.

Lexi Luna

Don Juan: You gave me goosebumps when you talked about that wonderful combination of fear and excitement, and not letting anything hold you down. Those are the moments that I live for in life now. There is no other feeling like it on earth, and it hits the mind, body and soul, like a ton of bricks.

Lexi Luna: It meant something very personal to me. I remember talking to students about this very moment, that very thing. It is all about facing your fears.

Don Juan: Bless you darlin’, I am so glad that this role went to you. Now, I have to be a reporter for a few seconds and find out as much as I can, about what this film is about to show off to the XCritic readers.

Lexi Luna:Cassex is a story about a couple, who recently bought a house, and they find this old VHS camera, camcorder buried in their backyard. The wife digs it up, along with this old case that it seems to be enclosed in. So, my character, Cassandra Essex, she is stuck inside of this sex dimension from the eighties. She was an eighties' porn star, who was this porn goddess. She was really over the top, very dramatic. She is a character who is basically oversexed in this dimension along with her husband. She basically goes around, sucking unsuspecting people into this dimension that she is stuck in. Everything in Cassandra’s world has to have a plan, in her eyes. You may not see it, but she knows what it is. She is almost like a puppet master. She is always moving things around in the movie. She always makes people do the things that she wants them to do. This couple who finds her, it is a story of their struggle to do what she wishes. You will have to watch to find out more.

Don Juan: Of course, I can not wait to see this film, Lexi!

Lexi Luna: I think that everyone is going to love the wit of this character. She has this belief that things are always going to go the way that she wants them to. You have no idea how much fun it is to let yourself go, and fully become a character like this. Her devious nature really made this role.

Lexi Luna

Don Juan: That is so cool. Professional wrestlers, they used to always tell me that it is so much fun to play the villain. It allows a person to really stretch their emotions and dreams, as far as they are willing to go. It sounds like you had the most wonderful experience.

Lexi Luna: Yes! It was so much fun. I truly felt like Cassandra Essex. From the moment that I got onto set, I was her. I was cast deep into this role. Everything, and everyone on this set, were just fucking epic! Anna Claire Clouds, Jazmin Luv, Michael Vegas, they were all amazing. Lindsey, the director, was just so amazing. There is nothing like having a director who knows what they want, and Lindsey did. The director took time to show us their vision, and how to make it come to life. I will never forget working with Lindsey Schmitz, who also wrote the film, by the way. The whole crew was outstanding, and I had never been on a set like this before. When I tell you, these people are fucking professionals, I mean they are FUCKING PROFESSIONALS! The equipment, the amount of people there. Everybody was working together, everybody was an expert at what they do. From wardrobe, to make-up, to lighting and all the camerawork, and the director. Everything was just perfect. I felt the most professional that I ever have, in any job, that I have ever worked in my life. I knew that I had to come prepared. I knew that I had to know my shit. I had to be ready to adapt, and I had to be flexible. I made an effort to not be the “porn girl” who did not know what she was doing. Preparing myself in many ways, both mentally and physically. Walking through the steps I would be taking, and all the small things it took to make Cassandra Essex become fully represented, and all the tough moments, they were all so worth it.

Don Juan: This sounds like a true dream come true. You are also talking to a big movie buff, and I love Full Moon Features. I have loved their films since I was a kid. Tanya and Greg Dark are two of my biggest influences and mentors in this industry. I am just so jealous that you got to be on a set like this. You made all the great stories they told me about working on a film like this come to life.

Lexi Luna: I loved the meeting of both worlds. This crew saw how much fun it was to work with girls from our industry. How joking we are on set, and what our limits were. Everyone I met on the mainstream side was so welcoming to us. It was a very high energy environment. I loved seeing the director tell the crew to move the camera this way, or that way. I don’t think there was anyone who felt like they were not in their element. We all came together to really create something special, and it was the first time for many of us to experience such things. I think that when you have so many people who are striving for something to be great, that is exactly what it is going to be. That is what this was for me. That is Cassex.

Lexi Luna

What I am looking forward to the most, from this X-Rated Role Model, is how she is going to open up the door for so many others with this film. We ended our conversation talking about how the adult entertainer is so much more prepared than most actors to take on these big roles and scripts. The world of XXX cinema has more talent within its walls than people often give it credit for. Lexi Luna is prime proof of that. I think it is also a true model who inspires others without really trying to do so. This interview was one of the most commanding, positive and powerful pieces I have ever been a part of. There was not one second of rest during the hour of one, on one conversation. My piece of shit phone may have blown up, stopping our conversation just a teeny bit. But besides that, Lexi was in the zone. Her happiness and excitement was like electricity flowing through the phone. There are no words to describe what it is that was in her voice. All I know is that this was a different Lexi Luna than I had met a year before. Now, her command was bigger, bolder and even more present. She is that woman who will be the poster girl for change in this industry, and I can not think of anyone more up to the challenge, than Lexi Luna, Cassandra Essex, The X-Rated Role Model.

We at XCritic wanted to thank the entire staff at Star Factory PR for allowing us to take part in all the wonder that is Cassex and it’s amazing star Lexi Luna.
