Anti-Work Tincture
I like making witchy concoctions and I know that work is bad for you, so naturally, I’m always looking for ways to combat all the damage work does to our bodies. This is a tincture I make to help heal from stress. It reminds me of Humboldt, the northern California town I’m from, which is home to a lot of people who like plants and hate clocking in.
Ingredients
*you can find many of these dried herbs in the bulk section of a health food store, or online*
1 oz dried ashwagandha root
1 oz dried holy basil
½ oz dried ginger root
½ tsp dried lavender flowers
8 oz grain alcohol (like Everclear, high-proof vodka also works)
You can play around with this recipe. If you prefer citrus to floral flavors, for example, throw some lemon peel in instead.
Directions
Place ingredients in a glass jar and shake
Store in a dark place for at least 2 weeks, shaking daily (for a stronger tincture, store for up to 8 weeks)
Strain and store in glass (a dropper bottle works best, if you have one on hand)
Serving Options
Start with about 1ml of tincture
You can take the tincture straight, or add it to a cocktail, water, or tea
Enjoy, then organize, quit your job, or seize the means of production!
