The XCritic Interview: Sidra Sage

The life of a writer in XXX. My time has been spent working with many people in this amazing land of fantasy. Some moments have been grand and others have been less than, but one constant always remains, the performers. Yes, it is what we all line up to see, what all the critics write about, and look to photograph. No matter if you are a fan, a director, or a publisher, it is the starlets that drew us to these wonderful creations of art inside our society. I have seen many performers come and go since I began my journey in this industry years ago. It is actually starting to get hard to remember the first people I interviewed and what we talked about. This is what makes new starlet Sidra Sage something memorable to me. My desire to meet this model came from her look. A beauty that is edgy, sexy, and stylish in ways that few models have the guts to pursue or attempt. After getting her work placed upon my line of sight, I found that this woman was more than a walking work of art. This was a new starlet who has lived the adventure of a porn star even before she became one. As a writer, you remember the people who catch your eye like this. You remember the performers who love what they do and have no regret or inhibitions to hide that from the world. A critic also remembers the people who motivate him. The people who get his ass in gear like a strong cup of coffee. All to build the most in-depth look at his subject's heart and spirit. Sidra Sage, she was open for both. I guess you can say that I have never been this anxious to meet a new starlet let alone tell a bit of her story to the world. I am more than sure that after you have read this interview, you too will have fallen under that same spell as me. One that is almost always faked by many and only lived by the fee. That is Sidra Sage, let’s say hello, shall we? 

Don Juan: Madam, may I first say that I have been looking forward to this for a long time. You have one of the best looks I have EVER seen in this business! 

Sidra Sage: Why thank you, thank you, I like to be unique.

Don Juan: I think you have done that and beyond madam. So, I heard that this is your birthday week? Happy pre or belated birthday! Whichever it may be. 

Sidra Sage: Thank you. I will be turning twenty-eight, I can not believe it. 

Don Juan: Get the fuck out of here, you are twenty-eight? 

Sidra Sage: I know, I am a lot older than I look. 

Don Juan: I could tell by your posts that you live an adventurous life. Where you do not let fear become something that hinders you. You are a person who makes fear her ally to experience adventurous and amazing things. I think that is what keeps the youth within you. 

Sidra Sage: I like that and I agree. 

Don Juan: Now, I can tell you that one of my main reasons for wanting to interview you, there are very few performers, especially a woman who has only been in the business for six months, who have had Miles Long, Pat Myne, and a few other directors tell me that when she has worked with them and that she is more than amazing. That in itself is beyond amazing, because they are all different personalities and artists. Says so much about you as a person Sidra.

Sidra Sage: That is so awesome to hear. My birthday is actually my one-year anniversary of being in the biz. It has just been so awesome up to this point. I have had so many great, positive experiences with directors. They have all been people who have helped me with really great feedback. 

Don Juan: That is cool. Darlin’, the first work of yours that came across my desk was with Pat Myne. I was talking with the marketing folks at Evil Angel, and it was just this instantaneous wave of good emotion that came over everyone who was willing to cooperate and add something to this interview that included Sidra Sage. Their reaction was, “yes, here is everything, promote her!” That is fucking awesome because not everyone in this business is the easiest to work with. It is nice to see a new starlet who understands that as well and has had a good effect on everyone in the process.

Directors in the world of XXX are NEVER given the respect for being the filmmakers that they are. Pat Myne, he is a man who has become well known for his taboo way of creating pictures in this industry. Most would never know he is an avid cyclist and has one of the sweetest demeanors of a film maker who is one of the best of the best. The man is commanding, but he gives you everything he has to make you better. This has been the way that he has operated for many years. That is what is at the heart of a man who shot this scene displayed within this article. A scene that featured Sidra Sage squirting around sixteen times I believe. He is one of the keenest minds, who talked about this new starlet with such promise. 

Sidra Sage: Awesome, thank you. Well, I think obviously my background as a dancer and a performer helped to set the stage for my success within this industry. I think it also helps that I have basically been in front of a camera my whole life. I do not think that a lot of girls enter the business with that kind of experience. A lot of girls in the industry have never had professional photos of them taken before. I myself have modeled professionally for a long time, and it has helped me so much. 

Don Juan: Oh, I can tell. What you have, it goes beyond the hair, the beauty, the external assets. You understand what it means to speak to the camera and always respect what that is.

That is one of the most important understandings that a performer must have in order to succeed at the most basic level in this industry. You create a wondrous illusion with what you present to the camera. Getting to learn that you have so much training in this, especially being a ballet dancer. That is fucking awesome Sidra!

Sidra Sage: Oh yes, well, I did a bit more than ballet. When we first started talking, I first mentioned ballet because that is one of the most recognizable forms of dance. I have a background in many styles. Of course with COVID-19 I do not get to dance professionally as much anymore. I have been a professional contemporary dancer for the last decade. It is basically what I did for the first twenty years of my life. I spent all my time in a dance studio. Training in ballet, modern dance, and many others as the years went by. It has really been nice to come into porn and see how people interpret the art in America. I come from a world of dance that when I was about six years old, I was dancing for these massive, glorious productions that were just so satisfying to the soul. I guess you could say that I look at what I am doing in porn as another project as an artist. Being able to be on a porn set and sit in the make-up chair for a long time and see the set-up of all this professional lighting and sound. These are all things that speak and appeal to the artist and performer in me naturally. Coming onto set and ad-libbing a scene, I get the same kind of satisfaction as an artist, as I would when I was performing on a dance stage when I was younger. 

Don Juan: I love it! No, the truth of this business is that it is the most difficult acting that there is to do. Nothing looks more clunky than real sex. I do not think that many fans know what goes into making something that looks so clunky, look so beautiful. 

Sidra Sage: Well, for me and this is another big reason why I have loved coming into porn so much. It is that I am a performer at my core with whatever it is that I am doing. Believe it or not, even just talking with you has a part of performance within it. 

She laughs so sweetly, in the most gentle manner. You never see human beings admit to this, let alone an actress who has been a dancer her whole life. Part of what makes Sidra this presence among new starlets is that she seems to always be a part of something “artsy.” There is so much that being a performer helps a person to do, especially in porn. Confidence, humor, character, strength, and anything that makes a person outgoing. I think it is bred here in the world of adult films and developed in ways the business and its fearless performers never get credit for. 

There are many parts of me that are just me being performative. For instance, let’s say that I was just looking to pick up some guy at a bar. It is always about putting on the perfect performance even in that scenario.

Don Juan: Most definitely. The gift of consciousness is all about how we present ourselves. I do not think people understand how much “acting” goes into the way that we all interact as humans, and it is not a bad thing. It is people who use it to be false who give it such a bad quality to have or demonstrate. It takes the ability to speak to many different people. It does not matter what you are doing or selling. 

Sidra Sage: Exactly, that is what it means to be communicating with different audiences eloquently and accurately. 

Don Juan: I think that we all must partake in such ways of gesturing to people. Don Juan DeMarko, he is the asshole, critic, editor side of me. The one who can deal with assholes as well and be one when he needs to be. and that is because the person behind the alter ego is a little too nice to be able to do that with some people. 

Sidra Sage: Oh totally! I do the exact same thing with Sidra Sage. I also have a management background. Before COVID-19 and everything that is going on went down, I was in charge of as many employees. Just as many as most agents have on their roster. Being a performer, I used many methods that an actor would use to be able to get across to every type of personality that worked for me. It does take two separate egos in this industry as well to accomplish the same thing. Having those two egos is very nice. 

Don Juan: No, I dig it. It is a necessity for evolution within people and I mean anybody, I do not care who it is. Now, it is the artist in you that brings me to our next question and I have been dying to ask you since we met and I saw your amazing post the other day of that beautiful picture of the beach and the ocean. I am would love to know what a day off with Sidra Sage consists of? You seem like the person who everyday is an adventure.

Sidra Sage: OK, so my recent transplant to Los Angeles has not always agreed with me in many ways, but we will pretend like it is. So, no matter if I were in Oregon, or I am here in LA, I am a very adventurous person. I used to work in the service industry, so my days off were all about getting the fuck away from people and I have been that way ever since, no matter what city I am in. I lived in Portland, which like LA, it is this really great city to go hiking trails all over. In Portland, you can literally drive twenty minutes in any direction, and you will be in the middle of nowhere. That has always appeals to me since I was young. So, a day off for me is all about that type of adventure. Before COVID, I was really into going out to new cafés and restaurants. Days off would consist of a nice long hike, even if it was raining. For me, it is all about getting lost somewhere and then being able to find myself again in every meaning of the term. After finding myself and coming back home, I maybe hit the gym, then settle down with a nice book. Now, when the bars were open, bar life was something that was definitely a part of mine. 

Don Juan: Damn straight, life is an adventure and there is so much of it to be lived. The reason I wrote down this question, when I first texted you, and you messaged me back, “I am on a day trip.” I had not heard that term used in a long time. I think we are living in a time when it is more common for a person to be a recluse and that was before COVID-19 hit. So seeing that a performer was on a “day trip” my first instinct was, FUCK YEAH!

Sidra Sage: Hey, I believe that even if you are only getting an hour away, it is a must, especially here in Los Angeles. 

Don Juan: Fucking-A! The thing I was going to ask you next, because if you go around the industry and check out the many website profiles of you, most have the city you hail from as Los Angeles. I now must find out what is true and where it is that this stunning artist known as Sidra Sage hails from?

Sidra Sage: Well, I spent the first twenty-five years of my life in New Mexico. I was born and raised there. Where my family was from is this beautiful mountainous area just right outside of Santa Fe. I had most of my artist training done in Santa Fe. California was something I always looked forward to seeing because of that. I was just really lucky to spend my childhood having that as my influence and even in my adulthood. I also lived in Albuquerque for a little bit. It is a city that really shaped me with the good and the bad. 

Don Juan: That is fucking awesome woman. Now I know why you have the Zia tribe symbol tattooed on your arm. My family is from New Mexico. They are from Las Vegas. You are talking to a fellow lover of New Mexico. It is in my blood.

Sidra Sage: I love Las Vegas! That is such a fun town. 

Don Juan: I could just stay there forever because there are so many things to paint and write about. I am a simple man. It is one of the most beautiful states in the country. I like to pretend I can paint and draw, my gift was always writing. I do try here and there though. The towns and landscapes there. They are so beautiful. It is like no other state, that is for damn sure!

Sidra Sage: This is true. It is hard to not fall in love with all the natural landscapes. There is not a lot of good architecture there though. I think a lot of people do not always see the beauty of New Mexico. I believe that everywhere you look, there is just a breathtaking view to be captured. So, I don’t know. 

Don Juan: I love it, you are a true “old soul” woman. It shows in your aura, your words, your pictures. There is a depth to you that is just unexplained when someone first sees you. Believe it or not, I didn't even know you had the tattoo till I had your work placed upon my desk. I knew I had to ask you about this because I had a feeling that you were from New Mexico. 

Sidra Sage: Yeah, I spend a big part of my life there, but I had that moment where I felt that I needed to get out. I think that everyone has that filling once in their life, no matter what city they live in. It was from there that I moved to Portland. I was there till shit hit the fan in March and my career just basically disseminated there. I just picked up all the pieces from there, and here we are. 

Don Juan: Well, we are glad that you are here. This is something that goes beyond your good looks sweetheart. You have the beauty of a fashion model. Which, I will not say is rare in the business but mix that with your composure. That sure as hell is. You are a person who after one meeting, people are going to see that you are the person who already has all the tools and skills to create what it is they are looking to produce if they are a director or producer. When you are a person who is paid to watch porn, after a few years, you see within seconds who are the people that understand that you have to put art and heart into everything that you are doing. My first thought when seeing your work was, “wow, this woman just gets it.” The minute that every single producer gets to work with you, they are going to say, “Holy shit! We need to book this woman again!”

Sidra Sage: Thank you! Well, again I take pride in my work regardless of what it is that I am doing. 

Don Juan: I love it! It shows! I really mean this, I am wishing you so much success and that is because the business needs more people like you in it. 

Sidra Sage: Thank you again. Well, we will see how things go once COVID-19 fully comes and goes. There are a lot of different people coming out of the woodwork. 

Don Juan: Very true. This shit with COVID-19 has created good and bad. It has been awesome to see so many new performers come into the business. People like you who get it. Now, this brings me right into the next boring question. How did you find your way into the film side of the business? 

Sidra Sage: So, like I was telling you about earlier, I had lost my job in March like a lot of people did. I thought that I was at least going to walk into work in March and be handed a furlough letter telling me that I got laid off. Which is kind of what happened. I was in Oregon at that time and Oregon is one of those states that before COVID, there was almost a zero unemployment rate. There was just nobody that was unemployed. So, their unemployment offices were tiny. So, COVID happens, and then you have all the people who work in restaurants as big business out there. So, you had hundreds of thousands of people across the state applying for unemployment and people were not getting money. I was starting to run out of money myself. I had a paycheck to paycheck job, just like many other people. I was alone at home, trying to ride this thing out and that led me to jump onto Chaturbate, just as a voyeur. I was looking at the website, loving what I saw, and I said to myself, “This is cool, I can do this.” 

I began my cam career as an exhibitionist. The first night on there, my intentions were just to do something fun. That very night, there was literally a thousand guys in my room right away. I had a lot of people in my room asking me, “why are you doing this for free?” It was from that moment that I saw that I could make real money doing this. So, the home alone thing came into play again, but this gave me time to research everything and that is what I did. I went to business school. I am an opportunist. I saw this chance to do something in front of me with camming, so I launched my MFC profile. I was almost instantaneously making a lot more money than the previous job I had been let go from. I could make more with a day camming than I could a fifty to sixty-hour week at the old job. Right in that same time frame, I had one of my cute stripper friends come into town. She took some cute boudoir photos of me and I had never done that before. I had done fashion modeling before, but it was nothing like this was. I was loving it as I had never done modeling where all my clothes were off. My friend, she has a rather large following, and she put a few pictures of me on her social media pages. A few people commented asking if I wanted to do a porn production. They told me that they would pay me, they would fly me out to Vegas. My answer was a big yes. That shoot ended up falling through, but it put that thought into my head that I could do this, and that is when I started reaching out to some agencies until I found one that I had a good vibe with. I got one of the infamous “casting couch” shoots in Arizona, and it was just a fantastic experience. So, I ended up signing with this agency, shit was hitting the fan in Portland, so it just seemed like the perfect time to leave. I moved out to LA right from there. That was in August, so yeah, I have been doing porn since July. That is my story.

Don Juan: That is a wicked cool story. You know, being a man who works from home predominantly during this pandemic, I forget at times that performers do not always see what they are up against. This industry, just like any other branch of entertainment, a person’s time in it can be very short-lived. That is just the nature of the beast. But, it also goes that most people never even get a shot to make something big with a true production company. What I have seen from you in these six months, I have met and worked with the most legendary performers in this business and what you have done in six months, very few people have achieved such things in such a short time frame. It is very cool to see someone come into this business and do all of these things fearlessly. If you keep up this pace and do not let the valleys or the peaks get to you. You will do amazing things in this business. 

Sidra Sage: I appreciate you saying that. It probably comes as a result of two things. I am kind of a shark. I have done a lot of things in my life, and I am just used to becoming successful and having success in all the things that I do. I also entered into this industry with an extremely challenging look. I actually shaved off my hair to piss off my boss, not because my thought was that a million guys would want to jerk off to me with my shaved head. It was a very interesting challenge coming into the industry with a lot of those aesthetic buffers stripped away from who I am, and how I am presenting myself to the fans. I do not have big tits and there are many other things I do not have that fit a mold, you know what I am saying? I have a slender body, I do not have hair, so I think that I was not something that would appeal to so many guys right away. I had to work a bit harder to show the fans that yes, you are going to like me.

Don Juan: Darlin’ that is fucking awesome. That is the key to surviving this business and having success within it. When I look at you Sidra, I see a model who is building things with a wow factor. That little extra that will have everyone looking to inquire deeper from just one glance and taste of your brand. This is a business and I think you already know this. You are going to meet agents, PR people, talent, and more, who are just going to blow smoke up your ass. You will also meet some great ones who will give you a hard-lined truth. I enjoy seeing a performer who is building that solid foundation. Because the truth is, it is all about things being a hit or a miss, and you can not let either one be something that carries your flag or your brand, you just can’t. You will see in the review that we have coming out with you. For you to be able to be this woman who can work a scene with Ramon and you are the one who is commanding the shoot, and having him blink and second guess, all because he can not believe what he is seeing. That is rare doll. Especially with a new performer. Most just look like a deer in headlights during their scene debut with anyone, let alone Pat Myne and Ramon Nomar. You are a person whose fans will see what is on the surface, and you will intrigue them, bring them into the mix. Then, when they see what is beneath the surface, that is where the massive success will come for both you and them. 

Sidra Sage: Well, and that is why I feel like I am getting a lot of reviews from the fans, where the first thing that they tell me is, “you are not what I usually go for, but……you convinced me somehow.” Being that I was a person who was raised as a dancer and a performer, I know that you can not be a performer who just throws everything out there to try and get as much attention as possible. What I was taught is that you need to be that person that brings the attention to you. You are the person that needs to bring them in. You can not be that person who outwardly expects things to just happen. You have to do things yourself. My goal with the fans is that I want a rapport with them where I can say, “I dare you to take your eyes off me.” 

Don Juan: YES! I fucking love it, dude! Oh my God! I can not wait to fucking meet you in person woman. It really sucks that we can not have AVN in Las Vegas this year. I shit you not, you are the one performer who I have been just dying to get to know. My girl has too because my boo is a performer as well. Getting to meet people who have such compassion is what I live for in this industry. This is also why I loved researching you. Here is what I saw, no matter where it was that fans were talking about you. They were talking about your charisma on screen. With your scene with Ramon, fans were talking about being snow-balled and some of the fans were being jerks, others were actually admitting for the first time, on the Evil Angel message boards that this was something they enjoyed and had never spoken of such things before. I think a lot of that comes from the way that you flow on screen, and you put your heart into what you do. It opens the minds of the people who are watching you. That was the most common thing I found about you everywhere I went and this is the fans talking. I saw comments that you made people comfortable with their own sexuality. I just have never seen much amazing things. That is something very new to the modern porn world. Or, Porn 2.0 as I call it.

Sidra Sage: Well, I think a lot of that comes from how feminine that I am. I would say that I am very non-binary. I am very happy and very settled in being a woman. I will say that I am very androgynous and that I do like to embrace the masculine parts of myself. Again, I have found that this is something that brings in a lot of “straight” guys and at times the conversation comes up that they like dick and I always let them know that this is a safe place to discuss that. Maybe that is the side of porn stars that fans are finally starting to embrace. I do not think that it is something that is always displayed in porn either. It is something that men really like, and they are more comfortable approaching it than most would think. I think that because I am comfortable with so much of who I am, it helps them to be comfortable with their queer side. I think it is a lot more prevalent in society than people let on to be. 

Don Juan: You are speaking to a man who has a feminine brain and I love that part of myself. It is something that has allowed me to learn what is the true wonder of the opposite sex. Once again, I saw this in the first pictures I ever gazed upon of you. People forget that we have both chromosomes inside us. The X and the Y, the things that are masculine and feminine, they are very important parts of the human mind, body, spirit, and psyche. 

Sidra Sage: Exactly! At the core of the universe, there is energy and matter. It is like saying that femininity is energy and masculinity is matter. See, now we are going to get into a conversation about duality. Even though there are a lot of the hyper-feminine girls in the industry that do really well, because with most male viewers, they have never seen a girl that looks like that in real life and it is so amazing, so exciting. But, I think the other side to that, there are girls like me who are comfortable with their queer side. To be able to be comfortable with someone else’s queer side, I think that is another very special thing that people should embrace. 

Don Juan: Yes! That is what the wonder of sexuality is. Truth be told darlin’ I am the man who went to college, got himself engaged in some extracurricular jobs on the taboo side. I grew up poor and had to earn spending money in certain ways as I was on a scholarship when I attended college. I know at the deepest level on how important it is to be comfortable with who you are, and to experiment so that you can discover all the little things that make up who you really are on the inside. I think it is only then that your eyes become open. That is when you can now start to begin to understand and get to know and love other people. That is something so forgotten, or maybe I should say, misunderstood in the modern world. 

Sidra Sage: Well, it is something that has been very, very segregated. The day before we had our conversation, the day before I called you, and we were talking about sexuality. I used to project a lot of my sexuality in dance and I realized that sexuality is something that is completely intertwined within everything that exists. It is something that is not only woven into the fabric of everything, so much so that people do not even recognize it as sexuality sometimes. Just like sexuality and dance for me, it is just such an integral part of the art. Which goes the same for almost anything you can think of. That is if you choose to see those things that they are woven within deep down. It is a very unfortunate thing that we choose to segregate ourselves from such things. I think that it is the ultimate truth about so many things. 

Don Juan: I fucking love you, woman! You are such a badass. You just nailed it! That is the best fucking way I have heard things explained in a very long time. I one-hundred-percent agree. Sexuality, it is something woven into so many things, and like you said, It is in our history, ethnicity, community, everything. It does not matter what, it is there. I remember being an athlete and how showing sexuality was still looked upon in many circles as something to segregate. The attitude is that if you show or talk about sexuality on any level, oh my God, you may be gay, you may be homosexual. It is that thinking that has hurt society so much. I do think we are getting better and yes, I think this industry helps people in a good way with that.

Sidra Sage: It is! It is something that we try to segregate, especially here in America. We are a very sexually repressive people. 

Don Juan: I agree. I see you being a performer who will go far in her career. I see you as a performer will have this business become something more for her and her fans. There are twenty more questions that I want to ask you but the reporter in me says, “No, save something for interview number two. After she has picked up her first AVN award.” You really have that presence and that aura darlin’! 

Sidra Sage: Thank you so much. 

Don Juan: Darlin’, you are so very welcome. Now, to get into the heart and soul of this interview, take us to that shoot day with Pat Myne and Evil Angel. I love Pat. He is a true artist and has an eye unlike any other for the things that he does. Sidra, you stole the show on that DVD. You are speaking to a man who takes pride in voting on the awards in our industry. That behind the scenes video, it contains a solo performance that is beyond words. The actual scene itself, my goodness, we must know the story of its creation. 

Sidra Sage: So, what I remember the most, was that it was a Thursday. I saw Pat post that he was looking for performers who were anal squirters. It literally read, “Hey, where are all my anal squirters at?” We had been following each other on Twitter for a while previous to that. I responded to the post and about fifty other performers did as well. 

I have to jump in here to express the mood of the interview. Throughout our conversation, it has been like talking with my college philosophy professor. Sidra’s intelligence and ability to speak with a powerful vocabulary and a true to life passion is what every writer dreams of. To please the pure porn fans in the room, what else makes Sidra the interview I may never forget the rest of my life, it is her positive attitude and how she speaks about each experience with joy. Even when we speak off the record she has positivity and thoughtfulness in her words and emotions. When I speak with most models off the record, it usually includes negativity. Nothing in this starlet's life reflects something filled with anger or regret. There was just this jovial tone that reminded me of when I met some of my best friends in this industry when I began. Friends are now retired but changed my life forever with how they see the world and life within it. Fans, this is what you always envision a porn star will be. This is a woman who lives up to the title of being the girl of someone’s dreams. That is the only way I can explain what it is that Sidra Sage radiates. Especially when we talk about her scenes.

For some reason, he decided to message me. He asked me if I squirted, I told him yes I did. He asked me if I could shoot the next day and I said yes. It was just this fast-paced moment where he just reached out to me on Twitter and of course, my answer was going to be, “hell yeah!” 

When I arrived on set we just clicked instantly. He has this crazy energy that is just so exciting to be around. He was really excited. I do know that he really loved Riley Nixon, so he obviously really had a thing for the shaved head, but he was just really so fucking stoked to see that someone else was doing the shaved head thing. Even when we were taking pictures, his enthusiasm just made me say, “hell yeah!” I really felt special on this set. I have not been on a lot of sets in career yet, so being on an Evil Angel set, I just felt like I was really, really in my zone. Especially with the white background. I just really, really felt focused, and I felt like Pat was focusing on me as the performer. Gonzo and being able to look directly into the camera, that is something that just fits me. I do love to do the acting scenes as well, but I just love to be able to stare directly into the camera while I am getting fucked. There is just something about that kind of connection that just made this one of my very favorite scenes. 

Now, if you want to hear a little more insight, I am a new performer of course and I had not done anal in a very long time. A couple of days prior to the shoot, I had got a little rosebud that had occurred when I was shooting a custom scene. So, when I was filming the scene for Squirt for Days 2, the orgasms were just amazing. Yes, I was cumming really hard from squirting, but I did not notice until the scene came out that my asshole was out. It was just lovely. It was this really fun way to make a debut with Evil Angel by having a little baby rosebud asshole. 

Don Juan: You fucking rock woman! 

Sidra Sage: Everything was just so fun. Everything just made sense being on that set and with Pat and Evil Angel. 

Don Juan: I really respect the performer who is doing everything herself. I think you too are an amazing fit with Evil Angel. I hope you get booked by every director with this company. To touch on your brand, especially being that you have done other forms of modeling. There is no manual you can read to gain success in this business. You are heading in the right direction with all that you are doing. 

Sidra Sage: Well, I want to say that I had a wonderful start with my first agent. I have nothing but great things to say about them. My goal in this industry is to keep growing to move up to the next level. I have learned that most of what I need to do that is best if I do it myself. That is my outlook on it. Once again, I was a person who managed a very large roster of people. I believe that I can work my ass off to achieve my next set of goals in this business. 

Don Juan: That makes two of us Sidra. I see a great work ethic within all that you do. 

Sidra Sage: Thank you. The biggest thing that I have learned about myself is that I am not smart, I am resourceful. 

Don Juan: Darlin’ you are more than that. You are simply a bundle of joy. I can tell there is a lot of truth behind your character. That is such an important thing to have in this life. 

Sidra Sage: Yes, I agree. Like you said earlier, to be fair, everyone goes through different things. I am lucky to be at a place in my life where I can just be my honest self. I think that journey to find that place is different for everybody. 

Don Juan: You are so correct. I think that is a journey we all take as people. I really love how you spoke about being that great fit for Evil Angel. I think that speaks to exactly what you are talking about when it comes to everyone’s journey in the business and what works best for them. Performers do not always look at any situation and say, “this is what fits me best. This is what I should do because I love every part of this or that.” You produced this energy within a gonzo production that people say can only be alive in an acting role within a feature. 

Sidra Sage: That is so awesome you said that. I am just trying my best and I just want to make good smut. 

Don Juan: You are speaking to the writer who loves acting and feature films. I have so many people I work with at XCritic who are always telling me, “come on! Give gonzo a chance!” I am the guy who loves live theater. Who is a sucker for great acting. 

Sidra Sage: Oh, I love playing characters and watching them. I think that is what is so fun about performing in a gonzo scene. Even playing Sidra Sage. Sidra Sage is still a character. Even when she is in a gonzo scene, that is me acting to make her come to life. 

Don Juan: That is fucking awesome. I will say this again, I hope to see you a lot more with Evil Angel. You made Ramon Nomar break character and say, “damn!” That was something so fucking epic! Plus, you shot with Pat Myne on a Saturday. How badass is that? 

Sidra Sage: Hey, he was the one who asked. 

Don Juan: I just got done with a month of AVN voting and so much more. Anyone who votes knows how tedious a task that is. One of the last categories I voted on was Best Solo/Tease and I shit you not, that last scene, and that last behind the scenes interview, that is something that deserves a nomination in that category for sure! 

Sidra Sage: Oh my God, that would be so awesome. I don’t know, we are going to have to see. I am so excited for AVN next year. Hopefully, we get to all do it in person. 

Don Juan: Yay! I hope so too. So, I see that our time is almost up, so I will close this with one last question. I wrote, I must ask the great Sidra Sage, what is her biggest goal for the year 2021? 

Sidra Sage: My biggest goal, oh fuck, that is a great question. Well, being that I am now at my six-month mark and being that I am almost thirty now, I would like to have at least fifty mainstream smut films under my belt before the year is over. I hope it will be more, but at least fifty! 

Don Juan: That sounds like one hell of a goal. Fifty is an amazing number. Truth be told, I can not wait to see more people discover Sidra Sage and all that you are in this business. 

Sidra Sage: Thank you so much again for everything. I can not wait to see what we are going to talk about in our next interview.
