Today, I bring you my latest interview with Charlotte Sartre. She's a favorite performer of mine, which is why I interviewed her early on in her career and wanted to follow up with her. XCritic has showcased her in another interview in the interim but this time around I wanted to go my usual route and peek behind the XXX curtain to share just a glimpse of Charlotte as a person. We'll leave the "normal porn interview questions" outside and take just a tiny peek into her day to day life.
1. So, you are married now (sorry, guys and girls), to one of the up and coming producers/directors (and award-winning performer Lance Hart), who I think has one of the sharpest minds in the biz and is always pushing forward. What's a typical day for you two like?
I wouldn’t necessarily say Lance is just up-and-coming since he’s been producing and directing his own work for more than twice as long as I’ve been in the industry :) he works very hard! A typical day for us starts with waking up, feeding the cats before anything else, getting caffeinated, doing some meditation, we both work a ton on our computers, feed cats again, do Zoom meetings, and run necessary errands like getting tested. If either of us are shooting here or somewhere else we get ready for that. At night we watch a movie or a couple episodes of a TV show and have snacks together while we pet the cats.
[Editor's Note: She's absolutely correct, that was totally my bad as he definitely is a very established presence in both of those fields]
2.Give us the story of how the two of you met and how long it was before you tied the knot. Was the first date "typical", like dinner at a chain restaurant, or was it something outside of the box?
Lance followed me on Twitter and we would comment on each other’s posts. We talked about each other’s cats from time to time. We had planned to meet up and shoot once when he was passing through town but I ended up getting sick. I cried! I wanted to meet him so bad. A few months later he asked if I wanted to come to Florida and then he bought me a plane ticket. We both liked each other at that point but were playing it cool because we didn’t know and didn’t want to come on too strong. He picked me up at the airport and I hugged him, then we went to Denny’s (I remember he ordered the country fried steak… a good sign). When we got to his house and he introduced me to his cats he put my suitcase in the guest room and asked if I wanted to sleep in there. I said no and that I wanted to sleep in his bed. Then we fucked. The next day we shot a Christmas-themed video together where he dressed up as a reindeer and I fucked him in the ass. And then he fucked me in the ass. That was December 11, 2015. We were pretty much in love forever after that and then he moved to Vegas, and I moved in with him a year after that. On February 16, 2019, we got married.
3.Are you living in Vegas these days? What did you think when you woke up to snow there?
Yes, we live in Vegas together with all our cats. I love when it snows here! The last time it snowed was the day after our wedding actually, so the snow just makes me think of Lance.
4. So, do you or Lance cook? or are you really good at making delivery orders? (both of which seem to be really common since lockdown happened)
We both cook sometimes but we’re really lazy and it’s so much faster to order delivery. He’s much better at cooking than I am though and he makes a lot of pasta, enchiladas, gumbo, red beans, and rice, that kind of stuff.
[Editors Note: Keep your eyes open for an upcoming interview with Lance for more info]
5.I also saw that you guys got an espresso machine and that you really like cappuccino, is that your go-to morning ritual now?
Yes! We love our cappuccinos. Some days I even have two.
6.2020 was an unprecedented year for everyone...how did it affect you and Lance? I know both of you have successful Onlyfans - so is that your focus right now?
We used to travel so much for work and I think the pandemic really brought us closer together because we get to be around each other all the time. Now if I don’t see him for a few hours I get anxious because I’m so used to him being at home with me all day. Porn work definitely got different as more companies were shooting remotely. My OnlyFans started doing a lot better last year because I had more time to work on it, shoot content and answer my messages. His OnlyFans is really just a side project as the majority of his income comes from running 3 membership sites (SweetFemdom, ManUp, and BiFUCK), and he just launched a 4th (HotTS) a few days ago. I’m launching a membership site soon as well.
7.Speaking of OF - I see a lot of creators complaining on Twitter that they can't upload, or it's super slow to do so at times...have you experienced this?
OnlyFans definitely has its bugs. It’s more frustrating when the site goes down completely.
8.You've been nom'ed by pretty much every award show on the planet at this point, the Spank Bank Awards seem to always nominate you in a slew of categories and I know many fans and critics love the categories he comes up with every year...and you've won quite a few of them. What are your thoughts on that?
Awards are fun but they’re not everything. I’m definitely excited when I win them but I don’t think people should let awards dictate their self-esteem or success. As long as you’re happy and you can pay all your bills you’re doing better than 99% of the world and I think we should take that into perspective and be grateful that we are fortunate enough to be able to have such cool jobs.
9.We talked about your ink back in 2017 when there was less of it and like many people, you keep adding more but so far your upper back is ink-free. Are you saving that area for something in particular, or are you just concentrating on filling other parts first? Do you have a preferred artist and/or parlor?
For some reason, I've just never been interested in tattooing my back, ass, stomach, feet, or my face so I’m keeping all that blank. My torso is done. I have a few other things I want to put on my arms and legs and then I’ll be set. I’ve been doing laser tattoo removal on a few spots as well. My favorite tattoo artist is Henry Lewis (@HenryLewis77 on IG).
10.Let's talk about covid for a second. Performers have been doing STD testing constantly forever and the industry is really careful to make sure everyone is tested but covid testing happens every 2 days if you are actually shooting. Is that something you just get used to, having that nasal swab 3X a week, or does it just keep sucking as it does for everyone else who probably gets swabbed once?
Actually, at Talent Testing it’s a throat swab and not a nasal swab so it’s not as bad. I’ve gotten the nasal swab done a few times at other places and it’s still easier than snorting cum. I believe Cutting Edge Testing does the nasal swab but I don’t know many performers who go there because it’s more expensive and I don’t think they do COVID testing in Vegas yet unless I’m mistaken.
11.For the fans that don't know how performer testing works, why don't you explain to them what happens when you go. You sign in, then what happens? I'm sure you are on a first-name basis with most of the personnel so I'd guess it's a pretty casual thing but what tests do they do? Blood, urine, swabs? Who pays for that? When do you pay? At the time of service or do you just have an account they send invoices to?
I log into my profile at home and PAY AHEAD OF TIME. Then when I walk in I just sign my name a couple times, do my tests, and leave. Every two weeks I do blood/urine/swab as my full panel and every few days just swab for COVID. Some companies give you a producer code that pays for the test but those don’t work online anymore so you have to go in and read off this long number and it holds up the line a bit and I hate doing that. I’d rather just pay for it myself and be reimbursed later if the company wants to do that.
12.I think it was Whitney Wright that posted that she brings a folding chair because when TTS opened back up the lines were ridiculous. Is it still like that? There are more labs becoming available for performers these days - does that help?
I’ve only tested in LA once since the pandemic and it wasn’t that bad but I’ve seen photos on Twitter with crazy long lines. Vegas never gets that bad because we just don’t have as many performers living here. I can’t speak for more labs helping the burden, either way, I’m still going to my favorite TTS because they already know where my veins are. Recently in Vegas, they started processing the samples there and now we get next-day results instead of having to ship everything to Miami. Vegas even processes all the LA samples as well so our laboratory here is really important for making porn happen on the west coast. I think that’s pretty cool.
13.What happens when @GothCharlotte goes out in public, like to a store, or a drive-thru/takeout window? Do you get recognized and are people respectful or do they fanboy/fangirl out? I know the first time we did an interview, you weren't quite sure you had a lot of fans but now, we all know that you have a growing legion of fans, more every day.
Before the pandemic, I definitely got recognized a lot more but I don’t get approached a whole lot. It’s more often that people will tweet at me later “I saw @GothCharlotte at the grocery store/theater/restaurant/gas station!” or people see random girls who aren’t me with black hair and tattoos and say, “I saw @GothCharlotte on the subway in NYC” but I think it adds to my air of mysteriousness and gives the illusion of omnipresence. I just get weirded out if people recognize me when I’m with my family because I want them to be safe. Nowadays I just wear a mask everywhere.
14.I know a lot of performers really pushed their merch and creations during 2020. You've got merch available now. How's that going? Do you make it a point to buy stuff from other performers? Was it fans or other performers that pressed the BUY button on your merch first? Where can fans find your merch and what do you offer currently?
The merch is going great. I just have 3 designs right now to keep it simple. I did a limited run of enamel pins that sold out in a couple hours. I always try to support my friends’ merch. When I first made shirts I definitely gave a lot away to friends before I put any up for sale.

15. Do you play video games? Are you on twitch? What's your game, if you do play?
I play a few different games between PS5 and PC. Right now I’m really into Cyberpunk but I love Death Stranding. I’ve put many hours into Oblivion and Skyrim. I’m not really interested in doing Twitch because I like to have a couple hobbies in my life that I don’t do for money or for the internet to see.
16.When you watch porn at home (I'm assuming you might) do you prefer to stream it or buy an actual DVD and what's your reasoning behind that?
I don’t watch porn very often actually, I prefer to just think about things, but if I do watch something I just pull up videos on my computer. I have subscriptions to a couple sites that I like. I don’t have a DVD player for my computer and watching porn on a big TV screen makes me feel too vulnerable I guess.
17. How's your critter collection doing these days? (For fans that don't know - we talked about it in our first interview with Miss Sartre here)
Currently, I have 5 tarantulas, one ball python, one leech, and four cats. They’re all doing great. Most of the tarantulas are rescues/rehomes. And my snake is getting pretty big. His name is Noodle! I don’t like to post pictures of my animals very often because people on social media are really obnoxious. People love to tell you, unprompted, why they’re an expert and you’re not. Whether it’s brands of pet food or whatever the case may be. Same thing goes with any of my other hobbies.
18.So, what are your plans for 2021 and beyond? Do you have an A plan and a B plan depending on how studios react to the current environment?
My plans are always centered around saving money and having multiple income streams. I’m launching a membership site soon like I mentioned and I’m writing an erotic book. If it’s well-received I might do more of that. I’m still shooting for other companies when the projects are fun.
19. What else do you want fans to know about you? Where can they reach you and follow you? Shout out your links, paid and free!
