I adore pornography, and one of my favorite ways to enjoy that pornography is through adult site memberships. Not only do I get access to weekly, and sometimes daily new content, but I also get to “vote with my dollars” by paying for the sort of adult film that I want to see. 

The first porn site membership I ever purchased was SandraShineLive around 2005. I became a member because I adored Sandra Shine and I wanted to feel like I was supporting one of my all time favorite pornstars in pursuing her independent site. 

Up until then, I had only seen a handful of DVD’s and low quality free porn that was available at the time. I felt fantastic for supporting Sandra Shine, and I was blown away at the quality and the amount of content available. 

Not a single month has gone by since that day where I did not hold an adult site membership. I have been a member of countless porn sites. Some good. Some bad. Today I still pay for memberships to about five sites, and through my writing, have access to a few more. 

Here are my personal favorite adult site memberships that I’ve enjoyed over the past fifteen years. This is not meant to be an objective review--just a walk through some of the places I’ve been happy to spend my time and dime.

X-Art.com

X-Art has been at the forefront of the art-porn space for a decade. Their focus on beautifully filmed and well-produced all-sex films together with the incredible erotic photography of Brigham Field has kept me as an on and off again member from the start. 

I love the personal write-ups and scene descriptions, along with the pride that co-director and co-founder Colette takes in her work. 

X-Art also has a tendency to discover the best upcoming talent early, often booking them for firsts long before the major studios catch on. Just go back and look at Little Caprice’s first boy-girl, or the legendary Kenna James’ first. 

Many of my favorite porn scenes of all time can be found in X-Art’s archives, and I’m happy to report that even their oldest scenes have aged well, still hot and exciting as ever. Nothing feels dated and the sex is so authentic!

I still retain a membership to this day, mostly because X-Art offers one of the most appealing deals -- a two-year long membership for a relatively modest price.

Updates are infrequent, and admittedly, the content isn’t as consistently breathtaking as it used to be, but they still turn out great movies and the archive of truly magical porn is well worth it!

NubileFilms.com

Created in response to the growing glamcore trend, NubileFilms was the Nubiles attempt to capture a growing, but uncertain market. They invested heavily in makeup, lighting, and elegant sets in such a way that the NubileFilms product felt a bit like the big-budget porn of yesteryear.

A branch from a major porn production company, NubileFilms has always been able to crank out high-quality scenes two to three times a week featuring new and unknown talent as well as adult-industry A-listers. 

NubileFilms is one of the best places to find Lola Myluv (aka Dido Angel) scenes and is world-famous for two of the greatest lesbian scenes of all time, both featuring Malena Morgan.

After a long hiatus, I rejoined the site about two years ago and I find myself watching many of their older scenes almost daily. I can tell you that the porn NubileFilms created between 2012 to 2014 is among the most re-watchable all-sex scenes you will ever see. It never gets old.

Babes opened up in 2012, as part of that art-porn wave and they were not going to be beat by anybody. This studio raised the bar on production and sensuality by an order of magnitude. 

They regularly featured some of the greatest talent, starting out with stunning scenes with the likes of Stoya, Kayden Kross, Madison Ivy, and Nicole Aniston in monthly updates. 

There was a time when Babes seemed to lose it’s way, spending several years cranking out cookie-cutter scenes with a noticeable drop in production and filmmaking, but things seem to be changing in response to growing competition from the likes of the Vixen empire.

Today, scenes are released every few days. They’ve experimented with series, storylines, art films, and simple hardcore porns. High quality content is on the rise, but gone are the glory days of the early 2010’s.

Babes.com is a mixed bag, but the content of yesteryear is still there, and very much worth a few months membership.

There’s no denying the incredible quality of Vixen productions. Going into its fifth year, a lot has changed at Vixen, but the quality remains top-notch, and they still put out about one high-end scene per week.

Created in the wake of the success of Blacked, Greg Lansky expanded his high-end product into Vixen, a less niche site that would offer a taste of everything from romance, to anal, orgies, and more. 

Vixen is the standard for today’s glam porn, but the site’s founder is no longer involved. Greg Lansky no longer directs and has given up control of the company. Astute fans will notice the stylistic differences in the latest slew of directors, but everything continues to feel on-brand. 

I have been a paying member of Vixen since day one and I have been thrilled with the product. They do a great job of making a big deal about new Vixen Angels.

Each new scene feels like an event! They offer a trailer with a countdown for the launch date of each scene, and it’s fun to see the way the community bands together through forums and social media, enjoying each new offering live.

I have never been a fan of anal scenes. Despite their overwhelming popularity, I just didn’t get it. So in 2018, I resolved to change all that. I watched one anal scene (almost) every week. I still wasn’t a fan, but I really enjoyed some of them. 

Fast forward to February 2020, when my colleague Moutasem was going bonkers over Lexi Belle and Mick Blue’s latest. Seeing as I adore Lexi Belle, I bought a membership and gave it a look.

Not only was Lexi Belle’s scene incredible, but they also had an anal scene with Nella Jones from the week before! And then there was a Naomi Swann / Paige Owens anal! Alektra Blue, Jillian Janson, Tori Black! It was all so great, so fresh, and much to my surprise, so beautiful.

It’s because of this site that I finally get it. Not only that, but I’m having so much fun seeing all this porn and viewing all these favorite performers in a completely new light, and I think it’s because they film what is admittedly a pretty hardcore act in such a beautiful and tasteful light. 

Naturally, the site has all the same trappings of Vixen, and that attention to quality and community makes all the difference. 

That’s not the list I thought I would come up with. Obviously there’s no shortage of fantastic sites out there that didn’t make my list. Some, like AdultTime, are objectively better deals, but these are the sites that really resonate with me.
