The XCritic Interview: Gia Milana

As the conversation between Gia Milana and I reached the “industry” questions side of who she is, we had just got done speaking about healthcare, our families and how much we value each day. For those of you who have never met Gia Milana or seen her work, she is one of the most dashing beauties on the planet earth. She is a woman who has picked and chosen her roles and creation wisely. All with this touch or art and erotica that makes her in my eyes one of the best damn performers in the adult film world today. What most would never know is that she is a former interior designer, family woman and one of the most well-spoken, intelligent human beings I have ever interviewed. Now, why we chose to release this interview now, even though we speak on some films within her time in the industry, it is more about who she is. The XCritic Interview is about showing the world that there is more than just sex appeal to the empowerment of these amazing ladies that make the coolest fucking entertainment on earth. Gia is a woman who seems to always come out on top in life no matter what she faces or obstacles that lie before her. The day we both sat down for this conversation, it was something that showed me the true essence of what makes a porn star the most amazing people and performers on earth and it is not their sex appeal I speak of. As we end one awards season and get ready to start up another here in six months what I thought would be the best of things is to show what really matters within this industry we all love and it is people like Gia and the stories they tell with hearts the size of the Golden State.

Don Juan: Gia, you have had amazing work this year, I loved your scene with Prince Yahshua in Top Heavy Sluts 2 with Evil Angel. My goodness, you looked stunning beyond words. We at XCritic, we love to talk about the best of the best and in my opinion, your work with James Avalon was amazing. I have not gotten to hear many stories about Mr. Avalon, and I would love for you to share what it is like being on his set?

Gia Milana: You know, it was so amazing! I had such a good time. Like we spoke about earlier, I was a designer. Graphic design is something that I love. In The Art of Romance, I got to interject parts of myself into this scene and that was so much fun. Getting to have sex in a bathtub, when does a person ever get to have sex in a bathtub. (She laughs and what I must state as we continue this article is that Gia Milana may have the sexiest voice that I have ever heard within the industry. I mean she will melt your heart with just “hello” and her laugh, it is something so charming and warm, it will make any room light up.) Or just in water for that matter.

Don Juan: Oh my God. That has to be fun. I mean anyone who partakes, at least from the male perspective, I am always afraid like I am going to let too much water get in between the action with my girl and something bad happens. (We share a laugh.) Getting to have sex with a professional hottie who knows what they are doing, mixed with the hair, make-up, of that had to be heaven!

Gia Milana: Yes, you definitely gotta be careful, you have to watch those knees. It was a ton of fun; everyone was super nice on set and I loved every second of it.

Don Juan: I love my job in this business and the best moments are when I get to show the beauty of it. Taking a gander at all your films from your years in the industry this one I had to ask about. You have this sexual swagger within the role that is just as erotic and glamorous as it can get on screen. That illusion of fantasy is epic that that film darlin’ I love it. James Avalon knows how to capture that so well with the true models of this industry.

Gia Milana: I really had a lot of fun; I am glad that you enjoyed it.

Don Juan: There is nothing more wonderous than to cheer for the performers who have such acting talent. Combining that with powerful sexuality and lust is not as common as you would think in this business.

Gia Milana: Wow, thank you so much. I do love to act in films, and it is more difficult than it looks. Sometimes trying to perfect both sides of what you just mentioned there is such a thin line that separates the good and the bad you know? I have never had professional training in the acting department. You have no idea how much I love that you complimented me on that. So, thank you.

Don Juan: My stars, that means you are a natural. It shows. Living in New York, I roomed with some starving artists and beginning actors looking for their next job. I think the most difficult thing is for an actor to see the characters they become. They only see themselves a lot of times. An actor can not get out of their body, even when they are trying to assume the identity of an actor. Seeing you have more extensive dialogue; you seem right at home. I am the one man who loves the acting so much.

Gia Milana: No, all of it is art. It all comes together to make one large piece and I love every part of it.

Don Juan: You know, the thing that I discovered with that film and I am so glad that I did, I discovered your modeling shots! My goodness, I must ask if you have had any formal training in modeling before? Because you made everything look as it is the easiest thing on planet earth to pose and posture. My breath was taken away by those shots in the desert! Ohhhh!

Gia Milana: No, I have not had any formal training. It all comes from just being on set and learning what to do each day of a shoot. Looking online and studying up on certain aspects. Seeing what the Instagram hotties are doing always helps too.

Don Juan: I love the artistry of what is becoming your brand. I have not seen one bad photo yet, hell, I have not seen one bad camera angle in a film even. You have no idea how much it means to me that you gave us this extra time. Being that you know how I care for my family; it means so much to me.

Gia Milana: Of course, you know, I must tell you that I hope everything works out with that. (Gia and I share a very common ground; our families share a biter disease that is a part of our family’s genes. Gia and I spend a lot of time off the record talking about our families, what we have been through and getting to hear her words of encouragement and advice, I felt so at peace. It is rare you meet someone who has that much compassion in their heart. She treated me as if she had known me forever and that meant a lot.)

Don Juan: Thank you. I truly believe that all the things we face in life no matter what it is, there is room to get stronger when facing such things. It creates bonds in life and makes you see all the little things in life you would otherwise miss. When you start to forget things like your childhood, you realize how special and valuable those times were, you know?

Gia Milana: Yes, you must document everything. You know, we make fun of everybody for always having their phone out and always being too caught up with technology but you need to must do the little things like take pictures of everything that you see, that you experience. There may be a time that you stop and that you wish that you did take a picture during that moment in time.

Don Juan: I think that is a universal truth and something so positive about modern society. It is something everyone should do in every moment.

Gia Milana: There is so much more you can do. Take those pictures, get them printed out, frame them. Make sure that you create something special with what you have on your phone. You should always be pulling out your phone, doing something with them even if it is just looking because that is something that is special no matter how much we try and deny technology.

Don Juan: Each day we are here is a blessing. Each day is something fresh and new to discover about this amazing world. My goodness, I could just sit and talk philosophy with you all day but alas, we will keep the fans entertained as best we can. (We both share a laugh. I think Gia is the performer that would give her fans ten hours to complete this interview. I can not say enough how gracious she is. She makes the term comfort seem nimble she is so warm and cozy of a listener and a speaker.) What I love to ask a performer is, especially a woman who is so intelligent and outgoing. I see this sexually confident woman and knowing that you were a loner back in the day, this question just gets even bigger. I have to know; which performers are you dying to work with the most. Is there a performer who gives you the jitters in the best of ways?

Gia Milana: OK, this one if for my fans. I have to make a confession. I have the biggest crush on Johnny Castle. Wow, that was really embarrassing. (It is cool to see one of the most beautiful women on the planet get overwhelmed with joy and happiness this way. I think most people forget that a performer is still human and still gets those feelings that every person gets when we speak of passion, lust, erotica, and allure.)

Don Juan: Oh, my goodness, one of my now-retired friends Anna Bell Peaks use to work with him all the time and she said the same thing. I just love Johnny. That is a man right there. (She playfully laughs and my goodness, I have never heard something so charming.)

Gia Milana: Yes, that is all man! I wanna go get that game that is for bridal showers, or something along those lines I am drawing a blank. I just want to go get that for the poster of him so that I can put it on my wall. I am going to invite him over and I am going to have him sign it.

Don Juan: Yes, then you turn around and tell him, “Sir, you are not leaving!” (We start laughing as I saw the last sentence with my ill faded attempt at a Cockney accent.) Tell him, “We can start filming if you want, or we do not have to, but you are not leaving till you look just like that poster Mister!” I think that is the beautifully sweet irony of the life within the industry. Every woman who has an amazing, beautiful brain loves him.

Gia Milana: I think you might be on to something here.

Don Juan: There are times when the lights turn out and some people, may not have the same flair or thoughtfulness as you would think they would. Johnny, he is a man who is so amazing. Running into him outside of the business he is that type of amazing gentleman. There are so many “boys” out there in this world and Johnny, he is a man that just captures a woman’s mind and that is awesome to see.

Gia Milana: I am so embarrassed. I still can not believe that I told you that.

Don Juan: You fucking rock for sharing that piece of your heart with that fans. So, the next question that I have for you, I would love to know this being that you are Latina and being that my family, we are all big foodie people, so, I must know, are you a great cook? Do you love to spend endless hours in the kitchen creating amazing wonders of your ethnic heritage?

Gia Milana: OK, so I must throw this embarrassment out there because I do not consider myself a great cook. I do not really know how to make much from scratch. I can follow a recipe like no other. I can follow instructions, but I think most people can qualify as a cook that way. Let’s just say that I am not the one doing the cooking during the holidays.

Don Juan: OK, following a recipe, that is cooking. There are people who can not follow a recipe for shit, and I would say that is the person who can not cook.

Gia Milana: Oh, I don’t know. (She starts laughing with that cute laugh again.)

Don Juan: Oh, that is that beautiful mind and that humble heart that is coming out and thinking that just following a recipe is not good enough to qualify. That is the essence of cooking. That is what is at the core.

Gia Milana: OK, I got you, but I think the thing is, yes someone else will like my food but I personally do not like my food. Most times I do not like what I cook. Someone else has to be the chef for me to enjoy it. That is just the way that I am.

Don Juan: Oh my God, I must know your complete ethic background now and not to overstep any bounds here. Because being a Spaniard, with Italian blood and Apache, I was always treated to such yummy food when I was a kid.

Gia Milana: OK, let’s start here. I will classify myself as a mutt. (We start laughing.)

Don Juan: Yay, that means that you are everything! That is such a wonderful thing.

Gia Milana: Let us just say this, in my family tree, everything continent is covered except maybe Australia and Russia. Those are the only two that I am not apart of with my vast family tree.

Don Juan: I remember my boss and I were talking about your profiles on different sites and said, the only thing you need to classify her as is beautiful. I was trying to decipher such beauty but alas, some things are better left uncategorized.

Gia Milana: I think all of us can identify with how we were raised and how we were brought up but now we have technology where you can actually go back and trace your lineage and bloodlines. That is something great to be able to figure out what you are. Because yes, I am a mutt, but I also think we all may have more in common than we would all think.

Don Juan: Spoken like a poet. I think so too. Being a person who has three bloodlines and every single one I love; you realize that what we do have in common in as people is that perhaps we all are connected in each other’s lives deeper than we think. We believe that our ethnicity separates us but it truly brings us together. I was also thinking that since she is Puerta Ricena, that when we get to meet, we take her out to a Puerto Rican place.

Gia Milana: Yes!

Don Juan: Darlin’ this has simply been so wonderful to be able to sit down here with you. We got a lot done within this time limit! Yay! So, the final question I want to ask, what do you have coming up that we can share with the fans?

Gia Milana: Well, I have not been cleared to share what I have coming up but let’s just say that I do have some anal scenes coming up. I can not tell you who it is for or anything along those lines, I want to tell you, but I have been sworn to secrecy.

Don Juan: You know, I can make some guesses as to who it could possibly be that you shot these scenes with but all I can hope is that you had an amazing day on set. I think an anal day should be a day where you performers are treated even more so as princesses. It should be that way period with every company. So, now that we have AVN concluded, what have your experiences been at this grand event? I ask because I want to be able to share this interview post AVN.

Gia Milana: Well, I have done the signing thing a few years and had times where I was so busy that I could not keep up. One of my favorite times was just going to attend and hit the after-parties and say hello to people that I have not seen in a while. I always encourage fans that if they ever see me at a convention in those circumstances to please say hi, as I love meeting my fans but yes, being able to just take it easy at the convention and take in the whole week and attend the awards show. That was something I looked forward to and was so great. You know, most fans would not know how much goes into planning your day at AVN, making sure that you have everything ready, hair and make-up and then you are rushing to parties and events it is something that is very stressful

Don Juan: Yes, it can be anarchy at times. I have been there and seen it personally more than a few times. It is the biggest convention in the world, and it is so hard to manage.

Gian Milana: Yes, it was very difficult. There were a few times where I got sick afterward. So, this go-around was simply for me. There are sometimes when if you can avoid the stress, you must. Taking care of yourself is a necessity in any industry that you work in. This last year, I had a ton of scenes that came out and things are looking to be great for me in the future. It is just going to be great.

Don Juan: You know, I was dating this beauty in the industry and she was telling me that she wanted to get her boobs done. Just like you spoke about earlier, life is too short. I said to her, “if that is what makes you happy, it is not wrong to give yourself things that you want in life or have dreamed about.” That is not selfish. Few people realize that.

Gia Milana: Yes, you have to do it! That is what it is all about, just do it!

Don Juan: I hope we get a chance to meet each other because the industry needs more performers like you in it, I truly mean that with all my heart and being.

Gia Milana: Awwww, thank you and I do hope that we run into each other as well. I will give you the biggest hug. You make sure to hit me up anytime. I am always looking to discover more amazing friends in the industry.

In Closing….

You know, there are few performers who can say that they have walked in shoes like Gia Milana’s. This is a woman, who has seen so much, been to so many places in the world and seen both light and dark and she is still the woman who will come and hug you and ask how your day is no matter what it is she is facing in life. I will not say this very often but to discover Gia’s story is something that has a depth far greater than you would think. The interior designer who created wonders for rest homes that hit home with her own family gained her my respect and should with so many others especially our industry critics but what this beauty continues to do with her film career and voice is something very powerful. There are few people in the world who open up like she does and has in this interview. Very few people who will speak about their emotions, their love, their heart, and their fears. If ever there was a woman to follow, my finger would point the direction for every fan to Gia. That is the honesty and beauty that is in all that she does. Since she and I spoke, she has been in a few amazing Evil Angel scenes, the anal that she spoke about and if I could close on one thought, it is that this beauty is just getting started. There is so much more on the horizon for Gia Milana, that I guarantee.
