Being Flogged By The Best . . . Julie Simone at ANE 2013

In all my years watching and reviewing adult titles, the only name from the BDSM world I was even remotely aware of was Julie Simone. BDSM has never really appealed to me . . . just the thought of being tied up or even dominating a willing female just doesn't do it for me, but Julie has managed to make her mark in both the porn and fetish world. As a result, AVN recently inducted Julie Simone into its prestigious Hall of Fame, along with the likes of legendary performers Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Gina Lynn, Vanessa del Rio, Christy Canyon, Randy Spears, and Evan Stone, among others. But the honors didn't just stop there as Julie received a staggering 8 nominations this past year from AVN, including being nominated for 5 out of the 10 slots for Best BDSM Release. One of those Best BDSM nominations was for Bound Rubber Dolls, which received a rare XCritic Pick in 2012. "It's really super exciting," says Julie about her Hall of Fame induction as we spoke at the Biker Lube booth at the Adult Novelty Expo. "Over the years I've been nominated [many] times, and I started to get really angry and bitter. [Laughs] It's amazing to finally feel accepted and appreciated.

"Bound Rubber Dolls is the one I'm most emotionally attached too because it took me the longest to shoot. Usually when I work with models, they're not going to wear a rubber hood the whole time. So I would get them to do one scene per shoot with the hood. So it took years to get enough scenes. Hoods are like my biggest fetish. Latex for me isn't about clothing. I don't give a fuck about clothing. I don't care about fashion. It's hoods, that's what's sexy about it for me."

In addition to being the top Dom in the BDSM world for over 10 years, Julie plans on re-entering the world of porn in 2013. I've had the privilege of interviewing and meeting Julie several times over the years, even being padded by her at EXXXotica NJ once. I gotta say, once you've been dominated by the best, you want more. So with her permission, I asked Julie to personally demonstrate her flogging techniques on me using the Biker Lube Flogger with brass knuckle handles. I did exactly what I was told, removed my jacket, bent down, and let Julie flog away at me, as you can see from the photos below. I really enjoyed the demonstration, never knowing how erotic being flogged can actually be.
