The Wright Stuff–Randi Wright Officially Kicks Off Her Adult Comeback In New York City!

Among the slew of excellent performers that came and suddenly left in the mid-2000’s (anyone remember Lauren Phoenix, Naomi, Brianna Love, Audrey Hollander), Randi Wright has jumped back into the industry and finding that her fans have not forgotten about her in the least. A fan favorite during her first stint as a performer, Randi made her comeback official this past Saturday night in the city that put the X in Sex. LA may be the porn capital of the world but New York City is the sex capital of the universe. What better way to kick-off a comeback than an appearance at Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club, nestled in the heart of New York’s Upper East Side. Randi danced, signed autographs, and took pictures with the plethora of fans and media in attendance who all wanted to know how long her second adult stint will last. XCritic wanted to know so we made the trek to check out Randi, who had plenty to say about her comeback and projects she currently has in the works.

What led you back to performing? What did you miss about it and what did you do during your hiatus?

I was asked to do nude modeling when I was a stripper. I said yes, which then led to being asked to do porn. At first, I said no but then changed my mind, fell in love with the job my first day, and have been making movies ever since. I left porn to go to school and get my degree. But now, I’m back and ready to take over the industry again.

What sort of goals do you have your second time around in porn?

The goals I have now are ones I have already started working on. I’ve got a reality show in the works, I’m writing a book and doing what I love, which includes doing scenes and working on my brand new website clubrandi.com.

How would you rate the turnout at Sapphire? Were you happy to see so many people come out to see you perform? How did the fans treat you?

Featuring at Sapphire was so awesome! Everyone that worked there was super friendly, plus the fans were awesome and came out from all over the area. I was very pleased and would love to feature for them again in the future.

Do you plan on feature dancing more often and coming back to New York?

Yes, I love to feature more. Most porn girls are nervous about featuring, but guess I’m just the opposite—I love it! And, I love New York and do plan to be back really soon.

Will you be attending the XBiz Awards tonight or plan on being at the AEE/AVN Awards next week? What do you like most about those events?

I’m not attending XBIZ but I will definitely be at AEE/AVN. I will be signing for Elite Webcam Models, Myphonesite.com and for my agency, L.A. Direct. My fans can come by and say hi to me there and buy my movies and 8x10s. I also hope to make some new fans while I’m there.

Did you keep up with porn while you were away and what would you say has changed about the business in the couple of years you were away from it?

I didn’t keep up with porn while I was gone, so I can’t really answer this one. I just watched a lot of it because I’m a horny little bitch. [Laughs]
