There was a time where "Alt Girl" meant a performer only could be found in Alt productions.  Many studios set up sub-labels to do these productions. But Alt Girls have broken their bounds of a 'sub genre' and are now found in many of the major studio productions. They haven't sold out, they've maintained their fierce independant style and sensabilities.
