What’s more challenging; a bukkake or doing a BDSM shoot?

A bukkake is easier. There’s no pain involved. [Laughs] Blowjobs, in general, is something I like doing. A bukkake doesn’t traditionally involve blowjobs. I just threw that in because it’s something I like doing. Bukkake is predominantly, load dumping on a girl’s face. In my case it was blowjobs and load dumping somewhere between my chin and my boobs, rather than on my face. There were a couple of shots that got on my eyes and definitely on my face. It was a variation of a traditional bukkake shoot, for sure. With BDSM, there is a lot less spontaneity because you have to plan so that nobody really gets hurt, or if they get hurt there’s proper after-care. It’s a lot more pyschological as well. Unfortunately, the state of the industry right now, especially for BBW’s, is there’s not a whole lot of work in town. And, I’ve been in the business for almost five years at this point and I’m no longer the new girl. When you have the combination of a bunch of new girls coming in and not a lot of companies shooting plus-size porn to begin with, you end up being the girl that doesn’t get shot that often. It’s nothing personal.

Regarding the bukkake shoot, we’re actually going to shoot additional scenes to round out a DVD. So once we make that DVD we’re going to be looking for distributors. Once we get that it’ll be out in the market.

Will you be starring in those additional scenes?

Yeah the whole thing will be me and the whole bukkake thing. We’re thinking of doing a kind of like, “Oh, I met some guys at a bukkake and the chemistry was really good so I took them home.” [Laughs]

How would you say things went on Sunday? Did things go as planned?

There were a couple of technical problems that occur with any type of live shoot. We ended up starting 20 minutes late because of some technical issues that we had both with some cable issues we had with the camera as well as technical issues with Streammate.com itself. That was a little disappointing but once we got started, the guys were probably the nicest guys I’ve ever met at a porn shoot which is really funny because they’re not industry guys. You would assume they’d do the whole fan, groping thing. But they were really, really nice and definitely a nice group of gentlemen. They asked before they did anything. They asked, “Can I touch you here, can I grope you there?” When we got started with the bukkake it was actually a lot of fun. We could all relax and have a good time as oppose to me being nervous about one creepy dude or someone getting too out of hand or getting too rowdy. They were awesome. They were absolutely fantastic and I would invite every single one of them back. I actually told them that if I ever do something like this again you guys are the first people on my list.

You had never done a bukkake. How did you prepare for this? Was there a lot of mental preparation?

It’s funny. I like watching group scenes when I watch porn. Mentally I was more nervous about the technical stuff going wrong and little weird things like, “What if nobody shows up? It’ll just be me and maybe a dildo,” [Laughs] so I was more worried about that than the actual bukkake itself. I thought that was a lot of fun and I personally have never done a scene with that many guys in the room before. I wasn’t nervous about that. More nervous about, “What happens if things fall apart?” [Laughs]

Did you boyfriend really jerk off watching you perform bukkake?

Yes. [Laughs] My boyfriend is Tim Von Swine who is a porn director and performer himself. He’s won a bunch of awards for POV work. His business partner is Mike John. We’re very supportive of each other, especially when it comes to porn. In this case we had talked about whether he had wanted to be a part of the event or not, and he knows me and my personality well enough to know that I will get distracted to see if he’s upset with any of the guys or whatever, which would affect my performance. So he opted out of participating although he wanted to. So he just stayed at home and watched it and jerked off, [Laughs] which I thought was very supportive of him. I’m a big fan of his work and I’m really happy that he enjoys what I put out as well.

What did you think of the guys you blew? Did they behave; any of them show any potential of doing a scene with you on your website?

I think there were several guys in there that were good enough to be performers. It’s interesting because porn is very varied especially now with all the amateur porn out there. The traditional concept of a porn performer if you’re a girl is slender, tall, blonde, fake boobs. With guys they have to have a 9 or 10 inch cock and have to have a very specific look, especially these days, whereas older porn from the 70’s, yeah the size of a cock was very important but the physical look—they didn’t have to be chiseled or go to the gym all the time. They kind of looked like average Joes. There were three or four guys at the bukkake shoot who weren’t super-endowed but when it came to the pop shot, their pop shot was amazing. They launched all this cum, they came and then they came twice. So they were able to do what a porn performer should do even if they didn’t physically have the look. My personal preferance is chubby white dudes so I’m hoping—and there’s something really pervy about watching fat people having sex, [Laughs] because it’s not this contrived fantasy thing. It’s very raw and dirty and sexy in that kind of way. Maybe there’s a place in porn for chubby white dudes. [Laughs]

One of the performers was actually female with a strap-on. That kind of caters to the queer crowd. I seem to have a small following in the queer crowd community in San Francisco and New York. When I said I’ll be giving blowjobs and bukkakes, I didn’t just restrict it to guys. I did include women with strap-ons in that mix. There were actually two or three women who were suppose to come but other scheduling conflicts came up. But I think it was a nice little pervy edition to have somebody there with a strap-on.

Why do you think you have a queer following, especially a lesbian following?

I had done a few scenes. A lot of it is about exposure, visibility where people see you and find you. Being so close to San Francisco I had gone up and done a few scenes with people who are considered the icons of queer porn like Courtney Trouble and Jizz Lee, and I’m really good friends with April Flores who has a really huge following in the queer community. I think because of that, you develop a queer fan base by proxy even though you’re not queer yourself. I’m not personally queer.

Would you consider yourself a true bisexual?

I guess I’m bi-curious. I’ve dated a couple of women in my life. My personal preference at the moment is men. I love making out with women and it’s kind of a weird thing in that I’m a waist up lesbian. [Laughs] I love boobs, I love women’s faces, I love kissing women and making out with them, and playing with their boobs. I don’t mind them going down on me but it has to be a very special girl to me to want to go down on them. I leave that for other people. They want to go down on me I’m not going to say no to that. [Laughs]

Just on a personal note, I’ve now interviewed two of my favorite BBW pornstars of all time—April Flores a few years back and now you.

Yay! April is really, really sweet and out of all the BBW performers that are out there she is who I consider one of my best friends. That’s why we do so much stuff together.

Would it be fair to say that you and April are the top BBW performers in porn?

I think it depends on the group that you ask. The Urban X Awards happened last month and neither one of us won an award. I think that we might be the most visible porn performers in the plus-size market. We’re in the media a lot more than the other girls because we just do the media thing a lot more. But I don’t know if we’re more or less popular because, the thing about BBW is, April and I are at the smaller end of the scale. There are a lot of fans out there that prefer BBWs to be super-sized or Amazon-type. For them, we’re too small for those fans. We don’t fit in what they want. I think that as far as the media is concerned, April and I are the most visible. AVN did an article on plus-size porn a few years ago and April and I were in the magazine.

As an adult industry journalist I believe you two are and if I had to rank the overall top 50 performers in porn, you two would be in there.

Thank you. I really appreciate it. I just wish we could get more work. [Laughs] I know I keep throwing that back out there but I think that there is a market for us, especially for girls like me and April in a chubby field but when porn companies shoot chubby porn, it’s really just slender girls with a little bit of baby fat. With girls like April and I we definitely fit in that big ass, big tit territory but a lot of the mainstream companies that shoot big ass, big tit porn shoot slender girls with a fisheye lens. There’s a lot of fisheye lens going on in big boob, big ass films. They use girls like Phoenix Marie, Flower Tucci and Sara Jay who are very slender but have very big curves and there’s a part of me that wishes they would include April and I in that mix. For some reason they haven’t. I think once you’ve been labeled BBW that’s where you stay, and it’s kind of unfortunate.

At a certain point, we get tired of being told no or we get tired of not being cast or being asked to be in anything. So we just end up doing it ourselves because we’re still very horny and we’re still very pervy. I know in my case, when I got into the business it really wasn’t for the money. It really was because I wanted to get laid with random people. I didn’t want to have a boyfriend at the time. So this fulfilled that carnal need that I had. So if nobody shoots me it doesn’t mean I don’t want to still have sex, especially on camera. So this bukkake thing was a lot of fun because it was so pervy.

But you shoot for your sites, correct?

Well, I shoot for paddedkink.com. Right now we’re on a short hiatus with paddedkink because we’re trying to take all the content that we currently do have and offer them on DVD, and that will start happening probably in the next month. We have a lot of fans, not just my fans but fans of plus-size kink ask me, “I really don’t want to sign up for a membership. I don’t want to put down my credit card every month, month after month. I just want to buy a couple of DVDs.” So this way it makes that available to them. As far as porn stuff, I think this bukkake DVD willl be the first DVD that I will have produced for myself that’s just porn. I don’t currently have a porn membership site. I have a fan site, kellyshibarixxx.com. The first paddedkink.com DVD will have April and I in it in different scenes.

Would you ever perform another bukkake again?

Yeah I would love to. I’ve had requests from people on the East coast as well as people from overseas like London, which right now wouldn’t be a good time because of the riots. I know there are people in Miami and people in New York who have said that if I came out there they would like to participate. But I still need to figure out how the LA shoot did. From a pervy, fun kind of way I’ll definitely fly out on the next plane to New York just to do it. But I also need to figure out the business end of it. See if it’s financially viable for me to pack up and go for a few days. Rent a studio, get a crew because I don’t really know a crew in New York nor studio space. But I think if I do it again, the next place will be New York.

Who would you say are the typical Kelly Shibari fans? Do you have more male fans than female fans?

I think that there is a likeness in both. I actually get a lot of couples that are fans. A guy will say, “She kind of looks like you. She’s hot and she’s sexy, so let’s watch some of her porn and then we can have sex.” It’s a little bit empowering for the girlfriend or the wife to go—this is the thing when you’re bigger—is when your guy watches skinny girl porn and he’s dating or married to you and you’re a bigger girl, you wonder, “Is your preferance that and you’re just settling for me?” Whereas when it’s a guy who wants to watch chubby girl porn because he’s into chubby chicks and you’re a hot chubby girlfriend, that might be why I get a lot of couples who might be fans. I have a lot of military fans who contact me and go, “Hey, I love watching your porn because it reminds me of my girl back home or my wife.” And that’s really cool.

Do you think that men really prefer, maybe not a heavier woman but a voluptious woman? A woman with curves?

I think all people change as they get older. I think even women in their early teens and in their 20’s they’re taught to want or to breed with the hot football hunk. And I went through my phase where I dated only the buffest guys I could find who was talented and good looking. You find overtime that those guys already know that they’re good looking. And they’re kind of arrogant. [Laughs] You find out over time that what you want is to be happy. And there’s something that’s better with someone who’s—I don’t want to say average because it will sound deragatory—but a normal human being. Somebody who doesn’t spend four hours in front of a mirror every day. I’d much rather have a dude, like Tim, who drinks beer, watches hockey, farts. [Laughs] just the standard typical guy stuff. Then turns around and says, “You’re the one I want to hang with.” There’s a lot more supportive energy in that than, “Oh, I can’t believe you can’t lose weight.” That kind of stuff is not about who you are. It’s all about, “I want to be seen with a certain type of person,” physically and not “I want to be seen with you because you’re a cool chick that I want to hang with.”

Are the heavier girls in general more reluctant to remove their clothes when it comes time for them to get naked than their slender counterparts?

I know in my case you ask me to get naked and my clothes are coming off. And I’ve heard from different directors that slender girls, sometimes they’re a little bit more self-conscious because to them, fat is a flaw. Where with us, “Hey, we’re fat. Great.” [Laughs] That’s why I’m getting paid because I’m bigger.

Do you think the day will come when a BBW performer becomes Performer of the Year or BBW porn will become more popular in the porn mainstream?

I doubt it. It would be nice if it did. There are awards shows like Urban X and I’m currently working with a group that is trying to create a BBW fanfest, and I’m sure we’re going to have an awards show tied into that. If that happens it’ll be next summer. But as far as AVN is concerned, they did their one plus-size issue and they put April on the cover, and I was the centerfold in the magazine. But they don’t have a BBW category. So as long as there is no BBW performer category there is not going to be a BBW Performer of the Year. I think that just in general from a marketing standpoint, there’s just a lot more guys who watch porn who are in that 18-24 age range where their fantasy girl is that tall, leggy, slender girl who does a whole lot of different positions with a whole bunch of different guys—that kind of stereotypical model shape. So I don’t know if you’re going to have a BBW Performer of the Year as far as AVN is concerned I think. It’s unfortunate but I don’t take that personally. I see that as just a marketing thing. If you look at the numbers of standard-sized girl porn that’s being sold out there compared to BBW porn that’s being sold out there, there’s just more mainstream stuff.

I’m sure BBWs will get their dues.

Being mentioned in that magazine was pretty cool.

You at least can say, “I’ve been interviewed in XCritic.” We’re a big deal.

It’s interesting. I’m starting to get [more] visibility. I think, and Tim and I have been doing a little bit of research to see if I’m right or wrong about this, I think this is the first BBW bukkake ever in the United States. Most BBW porn is girl/girl, boy/girl, there’s some b/b/g, b/g/g. There’s the occasional all girl orgy scene. But there’s no blow bangs, no gangbangs out there with BBWs. Most BBW porn out there is kind of vanilla. It’s not extreme porn. Since I’m the face of extreme BBW kink [Laughs] it kind of makes sense that I do a bukkake shoot. I’d love to do a gangbang in the future.

Would that include anal and double penetration?

I am working on the anal thing. I don’t currently do anal nainly because porn guys are just too big. But who knows. If one of the guys from the bukkake shoot is able to fit in my butt then we might incorporate that into the DVD. So there might be a whole lot of firsts for Kelly. First bukkake, first anal, first DP. We’ll see what happens.
