Inari Vachs interview

It is no surprise that Inari Vachs' return to adult movies has been an incredible success. Her ageless beauty and talent transcend any generation. With the Academy Awards having been in the news, Inari reminds me of Hollywood glamour and poise. However, in her case, she also brings raw passionate sexuality into the equation that would put any mainstream starlet to shame. I am glad that this Hall of Famer is back so that her current and future fans can fully appreciate her memorable sexual antics with a high degree of satisfaction. It's only fitting that this sexy beauty will be cohosting the 2011 XRCO Awards.

Hi Inari, welcome back to the scene. You look gorgeous and better than ever. Your fans are going to be so overwhelmingly blown over to see you back in action. Why did you decide at this point to make your return? How has the reception been for you among your peers?

Thank you so much! You're so sweet! It's great to be back! I've been asked this question a lot as of late (lol). My return to the industry at this point was just the right timing for me all around; mentally, physically, emotionally. At the time I took my "break" in '02, I was going through a lot; shooting Naughty Amateur Home Videos on Playboy TV regularly, featuring and doing appearances numerous times per month, as well as dealing with personal issues. So I felt it was an appropriate time to take a break from shooting and concentrate on other things for a little while. Inevitably, "life" kinda happened and I took a different path, getting involved in other businesses in other industries, moved out of the country for a while, had my daughter (by far the most amazing, important, and rewarding thing I've ever accomplished in my entire life! She's my reason for everything!). The reception of my comeback has been greater than I could have possibly imagined! The respect I've received from my industry peers welcoming me back has been phenomenal and the love and support of my fans has validated the return a thousand times over! I'm so fortunate and blessed for the people in my life and the opportunities that have been given to me.

For your upcoming new fans, could you talk about how you got into the adult industry? What have been your most pleasurable and memorable moments of your career? What has been your least pleasurable ones?

I had been a fan of the adult industry for a long time, and when I first moved to southern CA, I happened to catch this expose on World Modeling Agency. So I pondered it for a bit and thought, why not? I can do it once for the fun of it and if I don't enjoy it, I don't ever have to do it again! Well, it happened to be a great experience and I quickly saw what a great opportunity the industry could be for me. Having come from working in corporate America for several years at that point and being an exhibitionist of course, it seemed the perfect scenario for my next venture! So I continued on with it and vowed I would do it until it wasn't fun anymore. I've always had the strong belief that the adult industry is not one you should be in solely for the money; it can be very taxing on the mind, body, and soul if you do not truly enjoy and respect it. 

I have had countless of wonderful moments throughout my career, however I can pinpoint one of the most amazing to be when I won my first award ever, AVN's Female Performer of the Year 2000..

What was the biggest surprise for you about the adult industry when you started?

Honestly, the fact that I could do it! LOL

2010 was an impressive year for you as you got inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame, begun your comeback, and also got nominated for the XBIZ Performer Comeback of the Year award? Are there any particular industry talent (actors, actresses, directors, studios) who you want to work very badly with and why? What would be your dream scene?

First, I'd just like to express how grateful I am for the longstanding love and support I've gotten from my fans and peers. The mere recognition via nominations and mentions is a great honor in itself. To be inducted into the HOF and the XBIZ nom in the same year is phenomenal! Furthermore, the overall response to my comeback has been simply amazing. I have numerous projects lined up for this upcoming year that I'm thrilled about and I am co-hosting the 2011 XRCO Award Show with Tom Byron!

It is very apparent that your sex appeal is very striking on and off the screen. You, my Dear, sizzle regardless of who you are performing with. I loved your work in the No Man's Land series and the Backseat Driver films. What traits of a woman do you admire most? What makes a woman sexy? What traits of a man do you admire most? What makes a man sexy?

Thank you!! Wow!! Those titles bring back memories! Those were great projects to be a part of! To me a sexy woman, or man, is strong, independent, and in control of their sexuality... I'm attracted to athletic types, although I also enjoy the soft curves of a lady... and the strength of a man....They have to be smart, funny, and witty. Confidence is extremely sexy.

How were you as a kid growing up?

I like to think I was pretty normal! But, then again, what is that?

What are your hobbies and interests?

I'm in the gym a lot....I love getting physical!

What is your favorite thing about being an adult performer?

Simply, I love being a performer. I love to entertain. To me, pornography is the most pure form of sexual performance art. It's freedom. It offers me a life of liberty with opportunity that no other industry could give me.

Are there any web sites or future projects that you would like to promote? What are you currently working on film wise?

I've been involved in some wonderful projects, so you'll see quite a bit of me in new products. I'm also working with Rising Star PR, a great publicity team who keeps the buzz going and gets the news out about everything I'm doing. Plus, they hook me up with nice guys like you who interview me for all my fans! Right now, I'm featured in the February issue of Strip Las Vegas, both on the cover and in a 14-page spread that includes an interview! Tom Byron's Seasoned Players #15 from Evolution Studios is out and so is Mike Quasar's Dreamgirlz Vol. 3 from Third Degree, and Kittens & Cougars 4 from Zero Tolerance. Harder from Adam & Eve/Skinworxxx was just released February 15th and I'm in five scenes including a hot DP that closes out the movie.
