Into the Wild

I watched Into the Wild, and if you haven't seen it, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do.

If you are not familiar with the film it is directed by Sean Penn and stars Emile Hirsch, who plays Chris McCandless. It is a true story about a guy who graduates college, breaks free from social idealism by getting rid of his possessions and money to travel from the east coast to Alaska.

It is an amazing little journey, one that I doubt I could ever make, but dream of doing. I understand what he did and why he did it, sometimes I wish I could do that, be him and leave everything behind.

I am sure a handful of people who know me would worry, but for the majority of people in my life I doubt they would even know I was gone.

I wonder what it is like, I wonder what the feeling of freedom tastes like, I wonder.

I wonder what Achelles would do???
