Spotlight Title: East Coast Assault: Special Edition

Jules Jordan has been called a great many things by those in the industry over the years; some hail his genius and others suggest he is another flash in the pan. I was a latecomer to seeing what he offered that others attempt to imitate so often, finding his lengthy releases to be extremely well made once examined closely and often proving him to be well worth the accolades for his work at Jules
Jordan Video. His movies tend to be longer and more powerful than most in the gonzo field yet he strives to try new things to keep his movies fresh, sometimes providing exceptionally solid titles and other times merely offering twice (or more) what his competitors provide by means of fuck for the buck. His latest title to make it to me is East Coast
Assault: Special Edition, another double disc set that lasted for hours but rarely relied on filler scenes to provide lots of stroke value. This time, Jules and his pal Travis Knight went on a series of road trips along the east coast, even dipping into Canada a few times, in order to offer a smorgasbord of women for the consumer to appreciate.
All but one of them worked for me and at nearly four hours, this was a great bargain as far as I was concerned. It nearly rated the highest honor for providing so much quality fuck for the buck but it still warranted a Highly Recommended for the replayability, stroke value, and value of the double disc package. The technical qualities were not as high as his works shot in his mansion but considering the difficulties of shooting on the road, this was a decided step up from the competition. In that sense, you are unlikely to find the unique combination of women and situations offered up by the popular director and I can only hope that he decides to go on a trip across Texas to find some of the hottest gals in the world just waiting to work with the guy; perhaps making the suitable choice for a three disc set since the state is known for the saying that "bigger is better". Assault: Special Edition proved Jules did not have to rely on staying at home to make a great title and fans should embrace this one as more from the best. Good job!

Blue Room Tribute: Jenna Jameson - The End of An Era

Once in a great while an adult performer steps out from the massive sea of performers to become a true 'Porn Star'. It's even more infrequent when that star becomes a true legend. 1- How do you feel about the future plan to change the age limit?

Hmm. I think there are many young girls who have had to grow up early and many older girls who have never had to grow up at all. Age is such a relative concept. Many 21 year old girls have NO business in the sex industry and many 18 year olds who have every reason to pursue it. I support the law and all laws that are in effect to protect children.
Outside of that, this is a very personal question and one answer does not apply to every person.

2-What changes if any have you seen in the adult industry?
I've seen it gain acceptance as not only a pass time but also as an art form.

3-What is an average day for you?
There is never an average day. I could be on the road meeting w/ clients and overseeing appearances, I could be on set working with media or hanging out with new photographers... I could be in the office negotiating appearance fees, arranging photo shoots, proofing advertisements and box covers, or collecting quotes to articulate and send press releases... some days I run sales meetings and some days I am doing content management and licensing.

4- As Marketing Director for DP does the company hold higher standards for the girls and look out for them more?
Absolutely, our stars are the most regarded, demanded and highest paid in the industry. We consider every aspect of every offer, very carefully.

5-What advice do you have for those who are considering working in porn?
Depends on what type of work they are looking for. At the end of any day, our character is the only thing that cannot be taken from us so regard it above all else.

6- Do you see more female performers wanting an active role directing as well as becoming writers?
Yes and I see more of a demand for their creative input as well.

7-What changes can be made to better the adult industry from a women's point of view if possible?
I think societies acceptance of our sexuality is a damn good start. Sex does not have to be dirty, disgusting, vile, derogative or even private; human beings are sexual. I understand this concept empowers women and tips the scales of our slow-to-change patriarchal society, but it is eminent. I could write a book on this subject.

8-What do you feel is the major attraction that draws in young women to become adult performers?
Power. Money. Sex.

9-Can you tell us a bit about your responsibilities there at DP?
The commercial functions involved in transferring goods from producer to consumer. I am responsible for our image.

10- What is the best thing being at DP and working around all the talent?
It's always interesting and usually fun. All of the girls are unique and have their own strengths. It's fun to put on events and shows. I love meeting people and getting feedback. And I love that each day is different. I am totally diversified and I enjoy that.

Highlights of The Week

A classic in the making, Mope Squad 2 explored the truth about male performers in porn using humor and solid sexual tension. Donnie Cabo might well be best known as a cameraman working for Vouyer
Media but his recent directing efforts there have proven he grasps the big picture well enough to be in charge of his works better than many in the business. His latest release is Mope Squad 2, the second in the series started by Von Swine's Mope Squad 1. Unlike Tim's original work, this time the vignette driven scenes showed the various men being tested for future porn careers by the dominating women. The ladies would berate the men and push them to be all that they could be in porn, sometimes succeeding better than others. In all though, the levels of humor were often off the charts as the men would respond to being bitched at, driving the ladies all that much harder in the process. The gonzo nature of the action left nothing to the imagination, only Kelly skipping the anal the other three ladies handled so well. The technical values and extras were as solid as the company usually provides and the ladies cast this time were all perfect for their roles as being in charge of the action. The strokability, replay value, and amount of heated fuck for the buck were also good enough to warrant a rating of Highly Recommended. In short, Mope Squad 2 was as good as expected with my only point of contention being I wished that a central theme tied the scenes together since the humor was often something that pushed this one over the top.

We also found what appears to be the best point of view title seen in a long time with Mike John's POV Pervert 9:
Special Edition: The director is almost synonymous with the term POV thanks in large part for his leading the gonzo pack in shooting point of view sex. For the fan, this allows them to be the stunt cock while pleasuring themselves, never needing to see the nasty loser getting the woman but seeing the woman getting dicked all the same. Jordan Video, there is absolutely no doubt that he is on top of his game, his movies getting longer, stronger, and substantially more reliable as his casting has employed top talent he wasn't always able to use back when working for other companies. His latest release is POV Pervert 9:
Special Edition, a double disc sequel to POV Pervert 8; where Mike nails eight women for over five hours (counting the bonus scene and deleted sex footage) with some of his best work to date. The cast was full of top hotties mixing it up to provide some newer gals that merited his attention and proven top gonzo gals to keep fans happy, none of them proving to be filler material. All the sex in the movie is handled in the point of view (POV) fashion advertised and even on first glance, this one stood out as a shining star in the POV wastelands. It was a double disc set that nearly pulled off the collector rating for me thanks to the wonderful amounts of fuck for the buck, strokability, and replay value but as I'm not fixated on POV style camera work, I settled in for a very respectable Highly Recommended. Your mileage may vary but the majority of ladies were working Mike to the bone in all three holes, showing their individuality as a means of flavoring each scene to prevent them from appearing as quite so generic in nature (as other directors typically fall prey too). In short, POV Pervert 9:
Special Edition was a wild ride for me and if you are looking for a POV fuck flick that isn't strictly blowjobs or other narrow kinks, you simply cannot go wrong this time.

Another POV winner this week was Nice Fucking View
2: Special Extended Set: Jake Malone has been in porn a very long time as a crewmember that rose through the ranks very slowly. It wasn't until he started directing gonzo in the last few years that his name recognition in the field was learned by consumers, many finding him a breath of fresh air as he tried to go for a harder edged gonzo than most of his peers at RLD/PXP. Leaving them to work at Evil
Angel proved to be the best thing he could hope for as his new distributor gave him plenty of freedom to get extremely twisted, also elevating his status as one of the in crowd by the association. His latest release with them is Nice Fucking View
2: Special Extended Set, the sequel to last year's Nice Fucking View
1 that surprised a lot of people, myself included. The idea was to combine the point of view (POV) phenomenon with Jake's usual style of rough sex, the director getting to nail the hotties after extensive tease and various tricks that often included anal. Knowing the movie was nearly four hours without the bonus scene and extras made this one a title you will spend a lot of time with, I prepared myself for the kind of twisted action Jake favors. It had some of the best women in porn going for it, a lengthy running time, and technical values that only a guy with extensive experience could ever hope to offer up. The replay and strokability factors were solid and gave the movie tremendous levels of fuck for the buck, warranting a rating of Highly Recommended for those of you wanting to be on the cutting edge of hardcore sex done with Jake's POV touch. In short, Nice Fucking View
2: Special Extended Set will certainly work wonders for those of you wanting to see the ladies pushed outside of their respective comfort zones yet still find them having fun and enjoying the action as much as ever.

Lovely reviewer Ravyn then found some seductive heat in Playgirl: Sexy
Moves: Playgirl's titles seem to have a hit or miss quality about them. Not much changes with each release nor does the cast. Playgirl's Sexy Moves an erotic and alluring soft core DVD made for first timers and women that do not enjoy the hard core genre of the adult movies.
They will find this title more than suitable for their taste. Even the cover of the DVD is made specially to attract a woman's desires at the point of purchase. Playgirl gives you the typical romantic get-together without the intense circus acts that are a turn off for so many. There is also abundance bonus material including a solo male masturbation scene for those who enjoy such clips. It proved worthy in the quality of the scenes and corrected the mishaps of the audio portion as the time went on. Granted it would have been nice to hear what was going on in the first scene and in the bonus scene with Jean Val Jean and Michelle Maylene, but it all worked out in the end. Playgirl has come a long way in the types of stories they choose to film and with the cast. As time goes by I look forward to a much better quality from them and longer scenes. Sexy Moves is one of the few titles that I actually enjoyed and would Recommend it to the ladies out there to pick up.

Fans of shapely ass should really like this next title. Whatabooty 2 is devoted to gals with fleshy ass cheeks more than anal sex but a fair amount of that took place too for those that care. The general dynamic was to allow the ladies a short slo-motion tease where they danced around and then get into some heated sexual misconduct with various guys. What tends to set this series apart is the fun factor many of the scenes have, everyone enjoying themselves during the lensing of the action. Pete showed the ability to capture the raw energy here too, making the scenes quite strokable when the chemistry between the partners was even passable, though in most cases it was much higher from what I could see. It had some rougher moments but was easy to rate as Recommended all the same thanks to the casting, the shapely asses present, and the wealth of strokable material showing some clear replayability. Pete may still need to improve his technical matters some more but Whatabooty 2, like Whatabooty 1 before it, had a ton of ass to appreciate and the levels of fuck for the buck will keep you busy for a long, hard time unless you totally hate watching ass tease and heated sexual conduct.

Talented reviewer Rob Randell then provided us with a couple of hot titles such as Raincoater's Point of View 6: a gonzo porno that was originally directed by Vince Vouyer. He started the series in the early years of Red Light District Video. Since volume 5 John Strong took over the series. This review covers the latest volume. Like #5 , #6 is a hot DVD for those looking to see point of view (POV) action. I was happy with this DVD. While none of the girls on cast are amongst my favorites, I really enjoyed seeing them get naked and fuck. The good thing about this cast is how attractive the girls are. They look great in a POV style action, close ups on their faces as well as other body parts. Overall this DVD is perfect if you like POV and attractive big breasted babes; and Prime Cups 2:
The scenes focus on big breasted gals who do some fucking and solo play.
The cast is made up entirely of euro-babes and they look great in action. If you like big boobs then check out this DVD. Like the first volume I really enjoyed this one. I really like how Raul Cristian focuses on the big breast aspect with long and exciting teases. In a couple cases the teases alone are more than enough excitement. Another big plus about this DVD is the long runtime. It's 3 hours long! That's a lot of big boobs! For big breasts and hot sex, look no further.

came up with a solid set of scenes for Butt Puppies:
Jordan Septo remains a force to be reckoned with given the manner in which he coaxes performances out of gals that are sometimes considered second tier. His latest release is Butt Puppies, a series of gonzo anal scenes using some of the top anal queens in the world having hardcore sex after some heated tease. The straightforward manner in which the scenes were shot lent itself to focusing all the glory on the women rather than the men or the directing style, a dynamic that more of his peers should consider given the amount of sales lost due to arty farty effects. In a sense, if you are looking for some "damned fine smut", this is a decent place to start given the cast and crew at work here. It merited a rating of Recommended thanks to the casting, the heat generated by the cast, and the levels of fuck for the buck displayed with some solid replay value. There were some casting choices that did not work as well as others but the net effect of the way this one was put together was enough to earn the nod all the same.
In short, Butt Puppies used the skill of all involved to make for some decent stroke value, the Behind the Scenes feature adding value to fans of the ladies, even if all of them did not get equal amounts of coverage. Jordan is still a director to keep an eye out for though I wonder if he might be in need of a double disc set like some of his peers have used so successfully to elevate his stature in recent years; the competition for consumer dollars getting tougher all the time.

Then reviewer Colonel Mustard found a lot to like with the latest volume in the Wicked Pictures compilation series started with Wicked
Blockbusters in the form of More Wicked Blockbusters; combining another three of the company's best features with the original version of Flashpoint
(not the newly edited version), Manhunters,
and Euphoria; stripped of their original extras but a fourth disc of scenes included to add value. It is an outstanding collection of adult entertainment that should be in your Adult DVD collection. This is a quality and quantity box set rarely seen on the market with an unbelievable collection of todays (and yesterday's) most beloved porn stars. This collection, without a doubt, deserves the illustrious X Critic Collector's Series rating. This is not a rating I give lightly. In a little over two years and over 230 adult DVD reviews, this is only the third DVD to receive this coveted rating. You have my full permission to beg, borrow, extort or steal from your mother, grandmother, children or significant other to raise the loot to purchase this outstanding collection from Wicked Pictures.

The curvy ass cheeks many of us love were also the focus of Whatabooty 1; which offered up a wealth of tease and heated performances served up using decent technical values I would have thought impossible of Mr.
Pete a few short years ago. The idea behind the movie was to showcase women with large asses having fun, occasionally doing anal but for the most part relying on their other skills to drive the chemistry forward.
There was no other central theme to the show but there didn't need to be given the diversity of the cast and their skills. The ladies were all physically gifted with the kind of backsides many fans appreciate, varying levels of body fat on them depending on the individual lady as well. Some did anal, others were more orally gifted, and still others seemed able to really turn on the tease with a flair reserved for a limited few, making Whatabooty 1 worthy of a Recommended by me. The strokability and replay value were solid with decent amounts of fuck for the buck keeping the value quotient high. It may not have been the longest, the strongest, or the most twisted of booty flavored titles coming out lately but it was what I have long expected from Red Light District as they return to the basics that brought success to the company when it was founded.

Fans of the ladies will like Sex Fiends 5:
Francesca Le might be known as a performer in BDSM fuck flicks or kinky fetish outings made by her own company but she also has directed for companies like Platinum X Pictures in the recent past. Trying out new things, she has a true love of lesbian sex that is unmistakable but also enjoys a stiffy when given the opportunity to work with a big one as well. Her latest title for the company is Sex Fiends 5, a series I last saw with John Strong's Sex Fiends 1 a long time ago. The original premise of the series was to show ladies that were exceptionally kinky and outlandish, falling short for me then as it was primarily a generic gonzo movie. Now that Francesca is in charge of the series, I wondered if it would much different, PXP showing less kink in their projects of late. If you're interested in finding out the answer, you'll simply have to read the rest of the review. It benefited by a healthy mix of females with a good combination of looks and sexual skills as well as Francesca's ability with a camera. The heat and chemistry levels were not always consistent but even the weakest of the scenes had a fair amount of replay and stroke value; lending an air of fuck for the buck to the show.

Gina Lynn then treated us to a performance in Gina's Filthy Ho's
4: Travis Knight has been directing for some time now, largely proving to capable if not as good as some of his peers distributed by Jules Jordan Video. His technical skills are growing with every release and his access to working with his wife, Gina Lynn, seem to make him a known quantity so I happily picked up Gina's Filthy Ho's 4 when it came out the other day. My primary reason for picking it up was to see Gina paired with studly Erik Everhard but they were not the only couple worth checking out as the vignettes ran on my television for this review. Each of the scenes was a different, unrelated scenario and Travis was the head stud this time so the technical improvements he has made of late were a bit weaker than usual. It was worth a rating of Recommended. I still would have liked to see as much of Gina as I saw of Travis here but given the way her scenes seem to be rationed out of late, I suspect seeing her in more than a couple scenes per movie is getting increasingly unlikely; making me long for a compilation from the company at the rate they are going. In short, even without counting Gina as the big champion of Gina's Filthy Ho's 4, several of the other gals were hot too and the bonus scene added some strokability as well, marking the movie as one worth checking out. There were some rough edges to the show but all of them were not enough to dissuade me from giving this one a hearty welcome into my collection, thanks in large part to Gina's scene, Angel's active ride, and Valerie being such a hotty.

Experienced reviewer Kobiata then gave us a look at a trio of titles with DP Fanatics:
DP Fanatics 1 has a veteran cast of Euro-pornstars who know how to get the job done, so to speak! Unlike most of 21 Sextury DVDs, this has enough variety to keep the standard viewer's attention . . . from Lara Stevens' double anal to Simony Diamond's sex on a hardwood table. This is a SOLID RECOMMEND!; then the third volume in the series with DP Fanatics 3:
In summary, there was a lot of good things being Liz Honey's and Andy Brown's scenes and a lot of bad things like Jessica Moore's and Wendy's scenes. Coreena's scene ended up being in the high-middle. That being said, the two good scenes were enough to send the rating from a RENTAL to a RECOMMEND, and ending with Thassit! 2:
This is the hardest DVD release I have seen from 21st Sextury and it puts their "Anal Empire" series to shame because of the addition of the last scene, which is a whole 58 minutes! The last scene stole the show as it begs further scientific studies if there's a genetic anomaly regarding the elastic fibers of Angela Winter's asshole! I'm not really into these types of hardcore anal gonzo, but every once in a while, scenes like this break the monotony, especially regarding the usual cookie-cutter porno that 21st Sextury turns out. Other noteworthy scenes include the first two scenes starring Valentina, Niki, and Trisha. In contrast, I was disappointed with the scene methodology of Yvette's vignette relived in a flashback/fantasy. In summary, Thassit! 2 is a SOLID RECOMMEND!

Lesbian lovers will also find a lot of appeal in Strap It On 6:
Juan Cuba is a director growing in confidence and skill as seen by his work for Platinum X Pictures of late. No longer relegated to the back of the proverbial bus, Juan has been a key player in keeping the company afloat after most of their other directors jumped ship for better deals.
PXP has always been known as the kinkier side of sister company RLD so it makes sense that Juan ended up working there more than the typically more mainstream gonzo company, his latest movie being Strap It On 6,a series I haven't seen since Strap It On 3. The series is best known as providing lesbian pairings that use strap on dildos and a little role playing as the main themes, no stunt cocks provided for the women to abuse as in other strap on titles. Juan seems better equipped than series creator David Luger to get the women at their best but part of this is also due to Juan's perverted side allowing him to convey a nasty element better than David's straightforward gonzo. It had no really bad scenes but few that really stood out as high end either. Some of the ladies looked better and others displayed an affinity for sex toys & the role playing needed to pull off show like this, leading me to consider a rating of Recommended as the best compromise. If you enjoy lesbian sex and good amounts of lesbian fuck for the buck, you could do far worse than this one, making Strap It On 6 even better than Strap It On 3 that I saw so long ago. Juan does better with more traditional gonzo but his expansion into all aspects of the field with titles such as this one prove he is more than a one trick pony so check it out.

Esteemed reviewer Namrufmot was another that found three worthy titles including; Wife Switch 1:
I'll admit that when I first started to watch this title I thought it was going to be lame. I was pleasantly surprised though and in the end I wound up REALLY enjoying it. This title deserves a hard-earned rating of Highly Recommended; Barely Legal

While it might not be a masterpiece, I'd definitely recommend picking up this title if you can find a good deal on it.

Houston scoured his screener pile for the latest fuck flick from Evil
Angel to find the latest volume in a favored series with Evilution 3:
Special Extended Set: where the darker side of sexual tension has long been the focal point of the show. If you haven't seen either of those fuck flicks, suffice it to say that each scene is something only a true aficionado of hardcore gonzo porn will appreciate to the fullest as the cast is pushed in various ways to heat things up in ways that some people find offensive. This time, the scenarios included kidnapping, reverse gangbangs, voyeurism, and related topics that were not for the feint of heart. In keeping with the nature of such work, this also meant that the scenes varied in terms of how well they worked for me, something I think makes sense given the nature of modern porn as this kind of thing works differently for all of us depending on where our collective heads are at. It strikes me as having a fair amount of replay value but the technical choices and some of the casting decisions were not as solid as past efforts so I rated the movie as a high end Recommended. I have no doubt that Manuel was pushing the envelop further than he usually does and his superior casting choices may work better over time but some of the technical matters and thematic choices weakened the chemistry and passion at times; a rarity in one of his movies. Still, Evilution 3:

Swallowed: Joey Silvera has had his movies distributed by Evil Angel for years now, proving that his loyalty made sense as each party raked in the dough. Rather than chase a BBD from other companies, he has relied on the trust developed and fact that for a great many people, Evil is as good as you will find in the industry in terms of sales, distribution, and quality control. Even now there are precious few contenders for the throne and Joey has provided some of the kink the company needs to give fans their fix when regular gonzo would not do it for them. Well, as part of a revisit to the past, some of his older titles are now coming out on DVD, including Butt Row Swallowed, a movie shot almost ten years ago labeled "with The Girls of Hooker University" as a subheading. The scenes all provided a slightly different gonzo experience, with Joey even jumping in to get some at times, but the fun factor was in evidence and I could see several scenarios that he fleshed out into full fledged series later on.
It showed that even porn from years ago can still have all the necessary elements to make for stroking fun. I've revisited a lot of titles from ten and twenty years ago and found them wanting but can still rate Butt Row Swallowed as Recommended as standing the test of time. The women were not cookie cutter dolls and the sex did not follow a specific pattern, lending an air of unpredictability that would probably serve modern porn well in these days of generic action. In all then, the replay value of this one was surprisingly solid and while it did not stray too far from a particular path, there was no doubt that certain bits influenced later series and projects, making it worth checking out for that alone.
