Spotlight Title: Where The Boys Aren't 18: Special Edition

Our top pick this week was the flagship lesbian title of powerhouse production company Vivid Entertainment with Where The Boys Aren't 18: Special Edition. Director Chi Chi LaRue was once one of the best transvestite directors in the world of straight porn given his work at Vivid

Where The Boys Aren't 18: Special Edition was one of the event pornos where you get to see what amounts to a time capsule of hot poon tang from the Vivid vaults. The pairings were not always the best the company had to offer but the sheer multitude of liaisons engaged in and the ending orgy were enough to trip my trigger a time or two, with some solid extras on the second disc. Granted, of the 17 bonus scenes, many of them were best left in the vaults since porn has come a long way over the years but I think most of you will like Where The Boys Aren't 18: Special Edition as much as I did Where The Boys Aren't 17; thinking my rating of Recommended might be a tad bit on the low side. I may elevate the rating in the near future if the replay value increases for me but several of the scenes fell a little flat and a few of the others should have been even better given who was in them so while your mileage may vary, this was still one of the top picks for lipstick lesbian porn of the year.

Highlights of The Week

One of the best gonzo flicks for fans of extreme action was Pump My Ass Full Of Cum: Special Edition: Jules Jordan and his company, Jules
Jordan Video, have been one of the leading forces in gonzo porn over the last year. As his gonzo empire continues to expand, he is getting quite a reputation for offering the most fuck for your buck value out of any of the leading companies, even challenging his last distributor, Evil Angel, in terms of what he offers. That is no small feat in the period of time we're discussing so who knows what the future will hold for the man so dedicated to providing what fans want to see by the end of the year? His latest title is the double disc set for Pump My Ass Full Of Cum: Special Edition; a movie focusing on anal creampies; an act considered among the most dangerous in porn these days given the history of STD's spread that way. In the movie, Jules sets up various scenes where the ladies work with guys they like or want to work with, eventually finding all three of their holes plundered and pilfered to the max with the soothing coating of semen gracing the inside of the ass by the end of them. It was truthfully advertised in that all the scenes ended in anal creampies. Granted, one gal escaped getting one by virtue of there being a single cock and two gals in the first scene but unlike many of the imposters on the market, they did not look faked with last second edits or other trickery. The high point was that some scenes were off the charts in terms of heat, energy, and passion while others limped along just high enough to warrant another viewing but none of them were filler scenes from my point of view. The sheer amount of material was a plus as well with the minor technical matters never getting in to the way of the heat even if some polishing up might have made this one a better flick. In all then, Pump My Ass Full Of Cum: Special Edition was a high end Recommended or better, depending on what you really want to see. If you like anal creampies though, you'll be hard pressed to find a better title released recently though.

Pictures is known for their high end, award winning features but they also make good vignette driven fuck flicks as evidenced by Reform School
Girls: Mark Stone is one of the less appreciated directors working for Wicked Pictures these days but his BTS work and often fun movies give him a strong niche that keep some of us going back. In person, he can be extremely nice and helpful, completely the opposite of what some in the field consider to be how directors are supposed to act towards the public. His latest title for the company is Reform School Girls; a set of unrelated vignettes driven by the gals acting up and then finding themselves having sex with the teachers or administrators at a school for bad girls. I liked the theme when I saw it the last three hundred times (in mainstream and porn) so I figured it would still work for me now and overall this was the case. It was not one of the company's bigger budget efforts (those are typically reserved for Brad Armstrong these days, occasionally Jonathan Morgan) but it was fun and fluffy with a light attitude about the heat generated by the often excellent cast. The strokability, replay, and appeal factor of the cast was such that I rated this one as Recommended since the fuck for the buck value was among his better work of late.

If you like breast play and lots of tease, Boob Bangers 4 is going to please you a lot:
Jonni Darkko is what some folks like to call a gonzo visionary in that he likes the basic idea of the genre but tries to expand the specific borders as he makes much of his porn. One of the unique things he brings to porn scenes is his background in music, even though I have mixed feelings about the quality of it sometimes, a driving type of beat that can be most compelling when done right. His work at Evil
Angel has given him a bit more flexibility these days to try new things, though he still manages to address consumer needs with shows like Boob Bangers 4, the breast focused sequel to Boob Bangers 3 that I enjoyed last year. The basic formula for the series is that the ladies tease the camera with an emphasis on their chest, move into masturbation, and then ride the cock of some meat puppet provided courtesy of the director. To me, that's a pretty solid way to handle such matters and while breast related titles are common these days, Jonni often offers something just different enough that you'll probably enjoy it a lot. It had a lot of rough edges in the technical areas and with a few performers but the extras managed to increase the value and the style employed was not the cookie cutter formulaic approach so many of his peers use these days.

Milk and ASShoney: the sequel to The Voyeur 32 Don reviewed last year. The emphasis on the series has long been that of a peeping Tom type of character that watches the performers as they screw, hence the "Voyeur" part of the title. The only trouble I had with this volume of the series was that while it was obviously shot from a voyeuristic angle, the previously established character and hidden from view action seemed to be discarded in favor of a straight forward movie, making it far more generic in the process. Still, with a cast of ladies as solid as this one had, I was sure that it would be causing fans to pound their puds for days on end. It was worth a rating of Recommended for the levels of fuck for the buck it contained. There may have been some thematic corners cut and a few of the scenes were superior in almost every way but the appeal of the movie was largely driven by the solid way the women seemed to like doing what, and whom, they were doing. In short, The Voyeur 33: Milk and ASShoney had a few new tricks as it discarded some of the old series staples, making it almost as good as The Voyeur 32.

Last month I had the pleasure of speaking to King Lexus over coffee and bagels. Unlike others who once are in the spotlights of the camera and films , he remains true to his beliefs and his upbringing. His persona is very laid back, always caring for the needs of others. His focus is on the youth of today and giving back to his community. As a dancer and owner, producer and director of NYC Exotic Kings he performs at the Club C-Pac in Brooklyn, New York and has his own radio show on Madvibesradio.com "In Da Zone with King Lexus". Not a stranger to film or print work, Lexus has appeared in feature films like " American Gangsta" feature model on The Ricki Lake Show, Host for " What's Up TV on BCAT a local channel in New York as well as a published Author with his book due on in May "King Lexus Stripped".

During my interview with him, the gentle nature of who he is clearly showed. I was very impressed to see that being in Play Girl kept him humble. I asked Lexus how Playgirl came to hear about him and he replied " I did a photo shoot for them and then I called back to inquire about the cover. Playgirl has the fans and staff chose who is to have both. I sent them a copy of my DVD and I got a call back the next day saying I got both". King Lexus is the first Caribbean Afro-American male to have both cover and center. As a woman I seldom pick up Playgirl unless the cover really calls out to me. This one issue eluded me selling out quickly all over the Brooklyn/ Queens region of New York. His nice tight body comes from his training as a martial artist and his dancing. No. I've been asked by other companies but the way I see it, once you cross that thin line between mainstream and adult movies there is no turning back and if I did ever decide to I would want to be the best out there because I am a perfectionist and very competitive.

How does posing in Playgirl differ from working in the adult industry ?

I am more comfortable in doing a photo layout than work in an adult movie. To be a porn star and wanting to be an actor there is a conflict.
Directors would not take you serious. Posing in Playgirl many actors have done it. Crossing over from porn to mainstream movies is not easily accepted. I don't have a porn collection but I respect their work.

As a male dancer before doing the cover and centerfold were a lot of doors closed to you and are now opened?

Not really, most of my other accomplishment happened before the magazine .First allow me to say that I love the ladies at Playgirl, they showed me so much love. I think it did more for them than it did for me. A lot of doors are still closed that I thought the magazine would open up but it didn't.

Do you feel that doing the PG cover might hurt your goals in breaking into mainstream films??

King Lexus 's book " King Lexus Stripped" will be available later on this year as well as a new DVD from his show held on April 7th at Club C-Pac in Brooklyn. Lexus just celebrated his birthday at a Playgirl Event in New York City signing his cover for many of the ladies who filled the Happy Ending Lounge back in March all leaving that night with a bag full of goodies.
