Vivid’s Emperor, Tristan Taormino Interview and Virtual Dreams with Bobbi Eden

This week saw the yearly blockbuster from leading producer Vivid
Entertainment with Emperor,
starring: "Rocco
Siffredi as an aging film director that seeks to renew his spirit with new challenges. Paying homage to Fellini in several spots, the movie seems to be a thinly veiled attempt by director Paul Thomas to spotlight his own life in some ways; those who know him best being able to figure out where the reality ends and the fantasy begins (for those who don't know him too well, the director's commentary will bring you up to speed). Emperor was very entertaining as a feature film with regard to the acting by the leads and the admittedly confusing story and I expect it will win numerous awards for these aspects of the movie. The sex scenes all were made secondary to the story (per Paul, that's what he does) so as a stroke flick it was a mixed bag of tricks. This said, if you're in the market to have your mind motivated more than your libido, Emperor is in that rare class of movie that will serve it's intended audience far better than the raincoater crowd that just wants porn to jerk off to so know what you're getting into when picking up a copy. The extras were excellent and as a DVD package were on par with Island Fever 4 (in their respective categories of movie, of course); making it this year's equivalent to The New Devil In Miss Jones. I would have preferred the sex be the primary focal point of the movie but I suppose that the director wants something more out of life than being hailed as a guy that can shoot a stroke flick of epic proportions these days and I can't fault him for that. In all then, I rated this one as Highly Recommended for all it had to offer; proving that Vivid
Entertainment really did raise the bar from last year with this thought provoking feature.

Sneak Peeks: Jack's Big Tit Show 3 & My First Porn 7

We received two early looks at worthwhile titles this week, starting with My First Porn 7, "where the idea behind this series is that Jack is actually shooting porn, not beauty contests or scamming gals with music video work, and as a novice director he tries to incorporate all the flaws of modern porn as what he wants to shoot. The humor of the scenes comes in when he runs into the everyday troubles of the industry (flaky gals, language barriers, over done stereotyped settings and concepts, etc.) and the occasional pearl of wisdom by his mentor, Leo Pradnesh (by Harry Bali with a mechanically driven voice over by one of the creative geniuses behind the scenes of the franchise). This time, each of the scenes continued to demonstrate some of the problems that pop up on porn shoots, from the issues of getting locked out of a set, to male talent making an air pop, to a picky guy, to a loser Alt-Boy and a flaking female; all handled with the silly make do attitude a guerilla director like Robby D. is capable of projecting when he's in character. My First Porn 7 by Robby D. might not appeal to the same audience as Island Fever 4 but it was a decidedly appealing set of gonzo scenes with solid technical values, a lot of enthusiasm, and the kind of skill the cast has been known for. Thanks in large part to the stroke and replay value (since the extras were on the weak side again), I rated it as Recommended, though fans of the cast will likely find My First Porn 7 a cut above the pack and worth an even higher rating. The comedy elements of the movie were also present, with Nick trying his hand at capturing a scene with the same skill as his partner Robby (succeeding too), so I can safely say that the series is getting better with time, not even needing to rely on some of the contract hotties to elevate the interest factor of the show."

Then we enjoyed Jack's Big Tit Show 3: "a sequel to the well received Jack's Big Tit Show 2. This time, the emphasis was once again on a variety of ladies and no contract stars to prop up the action but I have to hand it to Robby for getting some solid levels of fuck for the buck out of the ladies yet again. If you enjoy watching hardcore gonzo sex with a plethora of pussy to enjoy, you're going to find this one a find too, thankfully starting with the lovely Kinzie Kenner (a Digital Playground regular these days). Jack's Big Tit Show 3 was a worthy effort by director Robby D. to showcase some of the largest breasts in the history of the series. The levels of fuck for the buck, stroke & replay value, and technical quality all added up to make Jack's Big Tit Show 3 one I could rate as Recommended though better extras and a cattle prod to a few of the cast might have elevated the rating a notch under ideal reviewing circumstances. The good news was that most of the ladies fit the bill of the series though the down side was that a few of them seemed unwilling to work for their supper quite as hard; balancing out the value of the show for all but die hard fans above a casual rental but below the must have so many of Robby's titles have earned in the past year. Check it out and I'm sure you'll find it as ball draining a titty flick as you'll find on the market.

Highlights of The Week

One of the best releases of late was Chemistry: "a reality TV styled porno that set itself up as having no rules and shot over the course of a 36 hour period. The box said it like this: "Seven stars. One house. 36 hours. No rules. No script. No schedule. Just sex...The way they want it. A 3 hour movie with 8 sex scenes." In all, I thought the concept had a lot going for it as MTV's The Real World met the porn industry head on, showing the world that Shane's World isn't the only game in town. Chemistry was certainly one of the more interesting releases by Vivid
Entertainment this year with Tristan showing why she was so well received years ago when she made her two part anal sex series for Evil Angel. I thought the two disc set was a little too gimmick oriented but it worked much of the time thanks to the way the cast seemed to fit nicely. In short, they had the titular Chemistry
with one another and that elevated the show up from the technical values on display, with the second disc of extras a lot of fun to watch too.
So, in terms of fuck for the buck, heated performances, replay and strokability; the movie was easily worth a rating of Recommended to me and I could see a lot of you enjoying it even more. I look forward to seeing the next volume in the series to see how Tristan keeps it fresh, knowing full well that she's just the gal to do it. (see our interview below with director Tristan Taormino)

It's Huge!:
"was a decent effort by director Brother Love to capture the gals taking on more than they could chew but the up side to the scenes was that almost all the gals gave some active riding on the cocks involved (Shane "Blackzilla"
Diesel and Justin Long). This is in marked contrast to many of the related titles where the ladies lay passively about as the men, particularly Shane, pump away as though they were obligated to do all the work. For me then, It's Huge! had some decent levels of strokability and fuck for the buck to combine with the technical values and earn a rating of Recommended. If you enjoy interracial sex, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone as large as these two that the ladies actually want to work with so check it out."

Don Houston liked Mike John's Boobaholics Anonymous 2, which: "showed that director Mike John was as much into breasts as his buddy Jules Jordan and able to provide some quality fuck for the buck in his movies too.
There were a couple of performances that fell flat but in general, I thought that Mike John's Boobaholics Anonymous 2 had enough going for it to warrant a rating of Recommended or better depending on how much you're into the cast. Personal tastes aside, the technical values were a notch above his usual work, the inclusion of a scene from the out of print POV Pervert #4, and the fun factor added in with the usual strokability and replay factors made this one a decent flick to pick up for fans of gonzo and breast play."

Don also liked Insexts,
claiming it: "was the most interesting release by Club Jenna since they opened up shop. That doesn't mean it's the best or most strokable flick to date but the movie was certainly something different for those who claim that all porn is alike. I rated the flick on the high side but if you're truly in the market for a generic gonzo release or want the latest feature, by all means look elsewhere while those wanting to explore the senses will check out Insexts
instead. I'd be curious to know who commissioned this one given the type of flick the company has put out to date but at a running time of over a hundred and sixty minutes (much of it tease footage too), I'm not going to complain, even if it was a little on the light side of erotic."

Another classic was Sorority Sex Kittens 3: "a movie that picked up the story and seemed to be one of the first of Holliday's modern efforts where he started to really kick into overdrive not just on the minor plot strangeness but also on providing more fuck for the buck. Sorority Sex Kittens 3 marked a distinctive change in how director Jim Holliday improved his work at VCA Pictures by cleaning up the technical values, lengthening his sex scenes and adding more of them, as well as providing more of his often outlandish story elements that you really had to pay attention to since they sort of went somewhere. For me, that made the very affordable Sorority Sex Kittens 3 even better than Sorority Sex Kittens 1 and Sorority Sex Kittens 2; adding up to a DVD that I can fairly state was easy to assign a rating of Recommended or better. After this point, Holliday's titles seemed to rise even higher in terms of what he shot for and his budgets reflected his success at the time.

"One of the nice things about watching a Zero Tolerance adult DVD is you always can tell from the title exactly what the DVD will be focused in on. Fresh Jugs is all about racks from young girls. The back of the DVD states "Welcome to Boobcamp" and goes into detail of many a male's natural obsession with breasts. Generally, I'm not a large breast man.
This DVD may have made me change my tune. Four of the six scenes were really solid with some great tit play footage and enough sex to keep the non breast fan very satisfied."

Virtual Dreams with Bobbi Eden: "was a well rounded selection of clips starring the attractive Bobbi Eden and she carries the premise of a sex simulator well. It might not have been as technologically advanced as the recent release of Virtual Vivid With Sunny Leone but Metro
Interactive should be praised for trying something new. The levels of fuck for the buck, the extras, and the splendid choice of subject matter all helped elevate the rating to a Recommended with fans needing to consider this a must have. If you like sex simulators with lots of material and longer than average scenes, Virtual Dreams with Bobbi Eden will be well worth looking (and stroking off) to. With series, and the newly established Zero Tolerance getting in on the action with the heated Interactive
Sex series as outlined in a recent Blue Room Column will appreciate this latest effort by one of the industry heavyweights with rumors of more to come."

Skilled reviewer Addison Delick found Mother Load as a movie that: "delivers on its promise of displaying women who are not right off the bus.
