Spotlight Title: The New Devil in Miss Jones

Last week my spotlight pick was the uber-budgeted Pirates from Digital Playground. But it was an extremely tough call between that and the newest release from the Queen of Porn Jenna Jameson

Queen Jenna stars in The New Devil In Miss Jones - an update of the landmark classic 1972 adult movie (which Vivid happily includes alongside the new film in this 3-disc release). The The New Devil In Miss Jones has Vivid Girl Savanna Samson playing a depressed and introverted single woman who suddenly finds things around her becoming much more sexual. She witnesses an orgy on the way to work; watches her co-workers get it on at the office; and even feels some seductive vibes coming from her boss: Ms. Devlin (played by the ever radiant Jenna Jameson).

Although much of the movie delves into the surreal, it's very watchable with some surprisingly good acting from the lead performers. In addition to the movie - which is full-frame and has been shot on film - Disc One includes an impressive three commentary tracks: one from Jenna Jameson; one from director Paul Thomas; and one from Savanna Samson and original Devil In Miss Jones star Georgina Spelvin (who has a small non-sex role in this new version). Over on Disc Two, viewers will get to see a 45-minute behind the scenes featurette; over an hours-worth of deleted sex footage; bloopers and outtakes; some photo shoot and other acting footage; and a look back at the career of Paul Thomas - including some trailers for his most notable films. The second DVD also includes many of the bonuses you'd see on a typical Vivid release - like bonus scenes from other movies; slide shows and trailers.

Spotlight Performer: Julia Bond

Another recommended title this week would be Altered Assholes #3. Shot by porn stud John Strong, the DVD offered up over 3 hours of unique content where some attractive gals truly had their backsides :altered" by virtue of his driven style of sexual misconduct. Starlet Tory Lane heated up the screen to give the movie a :Strong" finish as the director and Erik Everhard put her through her paces but the other gals were in fine form too.

The industry is all abuzz over the stylish content of Bryan Xin's Cheek Freaks these days. Releasing a DVD with a comic book cover, the young director offered up fine performances by Flower Tucci, Courtney Cummz, Kami Andrews and others as they offered up their backsides for tease and play. Despite limitations in the technical areas (picture and sound), the overall show was interesting indeed, and a decent start for Bryan's new company, Pulse Pictures.

In terms of fuck for the buck quantity, you're unlikely to find any recent releases offering up as much content as the six and a half hour Colour Your Hair set. Comprised of four previous releases, the focus was on blondes, brunettes, redheads, and gals with shaved pussies, this time. One of the benefits of such a release is not just the price but the way that you can simply skip any scenes you don't find appealing. Contrast that to the offerings of some companies where you'll get five scenes instead of the 34 (that's not a typo either) offered up for your amusement here.

Overlooked Titles You May Have Missed

Colonel Mustard wasn't kidding when he called Amanda's Diary 1-5 :a huge chunk of adult entertainment" as it included five previously released DVDs lasting nearly 8 hours long. In large part because of the attractive females and high production values the DVD offered up.

Reviewer Ian Jane summed up Exotically Erotic like this :A nice selection of ladies, all looking good and getting down and dirty? All shot with that arty look that Suze Randall's productions are becoming known for? Done with a bit of style and a whole lot of sex appeal?" after pointing out the movie featured a cast of attractive gals from a diverse set of backgrounds in this Pure Play Media release. One look at the cover and you instinctively know he's right but their attitudes toward the sex was what truly set them apart from the pack.

Mercenary Pictures has been providing some of the best multi-racial porn in the business for the last few years and Don Houston sure appreciated Superwhores 5 when he gave it the once, or twice, over awhile back. The male cast was led by the Dark Prince of Porn himself, Lexington Steele, and the gals were among the most talented available in this offering of heated sex. Titles We're Looking Forward To

Just in time for the holiday season will be the sequel to this highly recommended title, Internal Affairs, another comedy poking fun at the :thin blue line" with rousing results. In a cast led by hotties Stormy and Julia Ann, the movie gives a new meaning to the term :Spread 'Em".

Brad Armstrong, one of the pillars of the Wicked Pictures directorial pool and creator of movies like Lovers Lane and Secrets of the Velvet Ring is now setting his sights on a classy looking title called Eternity () , yet another story of infidelity and revenge; subjects the man knows all too well according to popular opinion. With all the leading ladies of Wicked Pictures behind the project, including Jessica Drake, Stormy, and Keri Sable, it sure looks like a winner to us.

Fans of Monique Alexander will appreciate her latest release by powerhouse Vivid Entertainment, 5 Blondes, as she struts her stuff to show how she earned her contract in the first place. If you're not familiar with the lean blonde hotty, check out some of her recent titles like Janine's Got Male, Glamazon, and Love Letters to tide you over but this is one gal that keeps getting better with time and we're hoping her latest work continues that trend.
