Female performers tell me all the time how much they enjoy working with leading man Ryan McLane and veteran performer McLane always delivers a quality performance and makes the women he works with look their best. What kind of man were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?
"I was an athlete. But I didn’t really hang out with anyone. I didn’t date anyone in high school. I wasn’t necessarily a loner or anything like that, I just I don’t know… I felt really out of place in high school. Outside of being able to see my family on a daily basis, there’s nothing about high school that I miss."

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?
"Oh yeah, I was a really big porn fan. I literally bought porn with my first paycheck I ever earned LOL. I thought Janine Lindemulder was absolutely beautiful. And my favorite porn star was a woman named Sydnee Steele. I watched lots of Sydnee Steele movies. Lots LOL."

What kind of scene have you found is your favorite kind to do so far?
"My favorite site to shoot for is Tonight’s Girlfriend. The women are always put in classy, sexy, wardrobe. It’s very adult. The director Shelby Black does a phenomenal job of shooting it."

What/who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet?
"I always wanted to work with Samantha Saint. Funny story, a friend of mine was a director when I was new to the business and he would shoot a movie a month and he always would ask me 'who do you want?'. I would always say 'Samantha Saint!' and he would tell me that she wasn’t in town. Anyway after three straight months he asked me and right as I was about to say Samantha he cut me off and was like 'besides Samantha Saint'. It never ended up happening. So she was the one performer I always had wanted to work with that I never had the pleasure of doing so."

Who is your favorite performer to work with so far and why?
"My answer was always August Ames. She was such a great person and performer. Honestly though there are a lot of really really great girls right now. I don’t think I could name just one person."

You respond to your fans a lot on Twitter. What do you like most about talking to your fans on social media?
"I’ve been a fan of people in my life, especially when I was younger. And I always just kind of remember how I felt when my favorite athlete signed an autograph for me or said hi to me and how much it meant. So I just try to follow in those steps and make people happy and let them know that they are appreciated."

How did you become a porn performer? What led you down that career path?
"You know when you come to a question and you just are tired of answering it and just want to skip it....I will say this, nothing bad led me down this path. I had a great life before porn and entered it from a place of maturity and understanding."

What do you most want to achieve in the industry?
"I’m not a legacy person. I don’t have the ego for that. There is nothing I’m looking to 'achieve'. I would like for the crew I work with and for, and the girls I work with, to maybe have made their lives just a tiny bit better or happier by interacting with me. That would be nice."

What is one thing you would teach a woman who wanted to be a better sexual partner?
"Communication. I think it’s important to let someone know that it’s ok to verbally suggest things that feels good to them."

What do you love most about being in porn?
"I love interacting with beautiful girls. I love the fact that there are maybe 5 days an entire year where I actually feel like I am working."

What do you think are “must-have” DVDs for your fans?
"This is actually a really tough question. When you are a performer that shoots a lot you just kind of lose track of everything. It’s not like being a mainstream actor that does one or two projects a year. So it’s kind of tough for me to point out 'must-have' DVDs of mine. I will admit that I have not yet done 'the role' of my career. I have had a bunch of my peers and a few mainstream people tell me that I’m one of the best actors in adult. But I’ve yet to land the starring role in a really major film. And I’ll be completely honest, it really pisses me off. But I don’t play the games. And I do everything that I can to put myself in position to be a successful performer so at the end of the day there is only so much you can do."

What do you like to do for fun?
"Spend time with my family. Go to old movie theaters. Hop on a plane and just go."

What are your favorite fetishes to explore on camera?
"I honestly haven’t had the chance to explore a plethora of fetishes on camera."

Who are your role models in porn?
"I’m going to say Eddie Powell. And I can say this unbiasedly because I literally never shoot for him lol! I really like him as a person. I think he is a very talented individual in lots of different aspects. A good person, who is intelligent, honest, and talented."

What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?
"I thought that Joker was really well done. Obviously, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood was a phenomenal film. And Toy Story 4 was probably the best overall film that I’ve seen in the past year. I’m not even a huge Toy Story person but I thought the fourth and final film was brilliant."

How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?
"I don’t watch much mainstream porn these days. I enjoy the look of Kayden Kross films. I think she does a really great job artistically."

What is coming up for you?
"This is a tough question to answer. I don’t know when this will be posted but at the time of answering these questions we are all locked down because of COVID-19. So hopefully in the coming months we will be back to shooting. I really really miss shooting."

If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be?
"Ha! I am so bad with knowing who celebrities are these days. I could legit be sitting next to a Kardashian and not even know it. I’m really out of touch and just kinda don’t care LOL. I guess Shakira. She is beautiful and I think she seems like a nice person."

What single piece of advice would you give a brand new male performer?
"It’s. Not. About. You. Check your ego at the door. Be respectful to the female talent. If you have to use a needle to get hard then you are not a performer and you need to find a new profession. You literally only have two jobs as male talent. Make your female talents' day as easy as possible and do what the director asks of you. That’s it.

Is there anything you want to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?

"I would just say thank you for supporting the industry that I’m in and if you are a fan of mine, thank you for that as well."
