Those kids in Cambridge might've given university-produced sex mags a bad rap last year with the much-hyped but ultimately tepid H-Bomb, but their undergraduate colleagues at Boston University might just rehabilitate the genre with the launch of Boink later this month: we haven't seen a copy ourselves yet, but our campus operatives who have tell us the cover image gives a pretty accurate taste of what we'll find inside. Look for a full report just as soon as that confidentially unmarked envelope hits our mailbox.

Update 3/28/05 Now that we've (finally) received our copy, what's the official Fleshbot verdict? Pretty straightforward, actually: Boink fucking rocks. Nice production, some truly sexy articles, gorgeous photography, and an editorial focus that gives equal weight to hot guys, hot girls, and (almost) every combination thereof (hopefully they're saving a girl-girl photoset or two for the second issue). If you thought the first issue of H-Bomb sputtered and fizzled as much as we did, Boink will probably be a pleasant surprise for you as well.
Update 5/5/05 Despite recent "reports" to the contrary, there's absolutely no relationship between our publisher Gawker Media and Boink Magazine—except for the fact that we're both interested in pictures of naked college students. Carry on!
