Here's something to start your long weekend right: I bumped into adult industry veteran Roy Karch, who pitched an idea for what sounds to be an instant classic porn film, if only modern science can get behind it. More after the leap.- G. Ponante

Karch began his adult career in New York, appearing in 8mm porn loops and live simulated sex shows in Times Square in the late 60s/early 70s. He later co-produced "The Underground Tonight Show", a NYC basic cable program that featured everyone from Phil Ochs to Marilyn Chambers, and then produced Eros '75, the earliest American "erotic awards show". He came to California in the early 70s and holds the distinction of being the first director to shoot porn on video. At 58, he is still shooting for companies like Adam & Eve and Sex Z Pictures.
"So you find a pre-op transsexual—you know, with a dick—and you shoot a scene where she's fucking somebody, from above. She's on top," Karch said. "Then you digitally eliminate the guy underneath. So you still have the male superior position". (Karch is making birdlike swooping motions with one hand at this point)
"Now you wait. You wait until she has the surgery. You put the tapes away and you wait. So now she's got a pussy and you have her fuck some guy—she's on the bottom—then you digitally eliminate him. Then you fly in the video of her former self and you lay it on top of her new parts and you call it Go Fuck Yourself."
(Karch grew up in the Bronx.)
Karch had this idea in 1987 but, like many dreams, it never found purchase. A movie called Go Fuck Yourself was released—inevitably—this year. It was a gangbang film directed by Tommy Gunn.
When Karch told me this, I remembered the anal cream pie/bukkake/cum-spoon-feeding flick I saw being shot last week and thought, "The 1987 version of Go Fuck Yourself sounds so innocent."
