Dana DeArmond in “Blue Light Project”

Vivid director Paul Thomas employed a Keith Johnstone technique in not-directing "Blue Light Special", in which your favorite porn stars were given several objects and told to craft a scene using each and directing themselves.

That Thomas was credited as the writer/director of a project he neither wrote nor directed, then, is proof enough that the trippy dreams of the 60's are finally paying off in leisure and cash.

"Blue Light Project" also stars Lacie Heart, Jezebelle Bond, and Annie Cruz, but I wanted to see how DeArmond would pull off a role in a movie without MySpace bands and kneesocks in it. As I predicted, DeArmond is all things to all people.

Her scene was called "Happy Fuckin' Birthday" and her objects were a microphone, a mirror, and a dildo (though that last one was like saying "Would you please film a porn scene with a vulva in it?")
