“Awakening To Love”: Hospital Gown Hotties, Heart-Throbs, And Hard-Ons

Minutes after getting engaged, Samantha Ryan gets hit by a drunk driver and goes into a coma. Her fiancée is waiting faithfully by her bed, but will he be there when she wakes up?

In their candlelit, Spanish guitar-filled bedroom, Dale DaBone tenderly nibbles Samantha's nipples. However, it's a bittersweet scene; Samantha's tender frenulum licking just doesn't distract us enough. We know that Dale will leave her while she's in her coma, despite his sudden marriage proposal/sinister declaration of love ("I am so yours, and you are gonna be mine [pause] forever").

Grief-stricken and horny, Misty Stone finds solace in the arms of her husband, Tony De Sergio. They share some very intense, life-affirming sex, and Tony comforts his wife with oral sex, melting her into the couch with quick flicks of his tongue. Misty comes hard, staring deeply into Tony's eyes.

Eight months later, Samantha wakes up from her coma and the no-nonsense nurse Kimberly Kane tells her how her husband came by to take his engagement ring back. Dale delivers another creepy speech, and Samantha slips into depression.

Elsewhere in the head trauma ward, Allie Haze and TJ Cummings realize their mutual attraction and scamper off to a supply closet to fuck. We've seen Allie Haze undress before, but nothing compares to watching TJ stiffen her nipples through her hospital gown before he flips it over her head and spreads it out on the ground. Allie's body visibly tightens as TJ takes her from behind, pushing her closer and closer to the edge. The scene is insanely hot, and they managed to do it all in dirty, floppy hospital slippers.

As she recovers from her injuries, Samantha spends some quality time with her roommate, Danny Mountain. They even get their very own cutesy montage: laughter paired with sincere looks of longing, all of it put to peppy, romantic pop. A year later, they're fucking each other's brains out in Danny's bed. Samantha clearly followed through with her physical therapy, as she throws her legs behind her head with ease and joy. Danny thrusts slowly, massaging her thighs and breasts, and never breaks eye contact.

You won't find a plot this soap operatic in any ol' porn film; only New Sensations Romance has the gumption to merge "General Hospital" with genitalia. However, given the five heart-wrenching speeches wedged between money shots, the hyperbole and melodrama of the story get rather redundant—even by Daytime Emmy standards. And although Eddie Powell's vision lacks the Lee Roy Myers levity of other Romance line titles, "Awakening to Love" has enough high-tension sex to match the story. New Sensations can easily keep this story alive: all they need for "Awakening to Love 2" is some amnesia and Danny Mountain's evil twin.
