“The Borgias” Offers Lesbian Makeouts And Lucrezia’s Tits

Remember that scene in "Cruel Intentions" where Sarah Michelle Gellar teaches the innocent young Selma Blair how to kiss? Well, this scene from "The Borgias" is kind of like that—inasmuch as there's an inexperienced young lady (Holliday Grainger as the infamous Lucrezia Borgia) being schooled by a more experienced woman. (There is, however, no rich kid prep school, and Lucrezia is actually preparing for an arranged marriage, not the sweet taste of Ryan Phillipe's lips.)

And, of course, there's no arranged marriage worth its salt that doesn't result in an innocent young woman having her clothing forcibly ripped off her body (at least, that's what countless volumes of bodice rippers have taught us)—so naturally, after learning to kiss and getting married, young Lucrezia has her innocence (and her nightgown) taken away from her.

Now, some of you might be tempted to question the historical accuracy of these scenes. To which we offer this question: why on earth would Showtime lie to us?
