When Lee Roy Myers is in control, he makes sure that the comedic is completely swirled into the carnal; you won't find any awkward blips in the action as performers struggle to pick up their post-coital parody personae. Although the entire movie is full of class-A actors, no one keeps up the comedy quite like Kimberly Kane, who does such a fabulous job of portraying Katy Perry Pervy that we feel like we're watching a leaked (albeit quite twisted) sex tape.

The film hits the ground running with Katy and Elmo Elmer doing their shtick on "Sesame Street." Elmer makes a pass at her, and even though she rebuffs him by mentioning her husband, she can't resist tickling the little red fuzzball. "I've never been with a puppet before," says Katy.

Elmer fumes: "You can't say that! That our word."

You can literally hear his googly eyes rattle as he goes down on Katy, but when it's time for Elmer to lay the puppet pipe to Ms. Pervy, Anthony Rosano steps in for some POV action. Katy keeps up the commentary while she creams on his cock: "Am I your puppet master?" "I love a hairy man." "I've always dreamed about fucking someone on your street; I'm glad it was you." Elmer chimes in now and then, but it's still too scary to hear that high-pitched voice say, "Suck Elmer's dick!" Even then, it's not all bad.

As the scenes progress, the actors seem to embody their characters less and less. I, personally, didn't mind Chastity dropping the Ka$$ha act because her sexual energy is off the chart in this scene. Watching Brian Street Team and Misty Stone spoon each other on a couch makes me wonder why these two haven't worked together until now; they're both spectacular performers, and even though they don't keep up their characters as well as some of their co-stars, they definitely look their parts. Brian has the wig and the snark to ably handle Russell Gland, and Misty has the leather lust (and also the wig) necessary to play Rihandjob, but when Russell goes in to tongue Rihandjob's tight asshole, he forgets to push his hair back. It's the little things that make or break a scene, you know?

Finally, Katy hangs out with Lady Gagger (Lexi Swallow) to discuss cheating on Russell. Fucking a puppet: not cheating. Fucking a man: cheating. Fucking a woman: certainly not cheating. This would've been a good time to crack a joke about the Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumor, but we suppose they passed on it because A) this was already addressed in the "Telephone" video and B) they were more interested in getting Gagger out of her used-condom dress and into Katy's panties.

There might be a little wig interference from time to time, but the girls manage to get incredibly wet and loud. Even though Gagger is set-up as the "experienced one," Katy seems to be the aggressor and call the shots: her first move is to viciously grab Gagger's tits and nip at each nipple, and after Gagger has fit four fingers inside Katy's pussy, Katy responds by shoving eight inside Gagger's and tonguing her asshole.

Lexi doesn't really try to keep up her Gaga talk, but when you think about it, it's probably quite hard to embody the sexual persona of a musician. If anything, "Katy Pervy"'s one big flaw is that, besides Katy, the celebrities selected for the film had small reservoirs of character quirks to draw from. It's difficult to impersonate anyone while getting fucked, but trying to impersonate someone who 90% of the time is shown singing sounds near impossible. Sure, there could've been more tabloid tips floating around, but Lee Roy Myers took the classy route (er, as classy as Elmo with a penis can be).

All in all, "Katy Pervy: The XXX Parody" has some of the best writing I've seen in a parody film, and does not disappoint on the hardcore front either. And I desperately hope to see Kimberly Kane don her wig again.
