Kylie Minogue may be on the older side of the spectrum of sexy singers, but she knows what a man likes, sexy singers singing about sex with punny titles like "Sexercise," which is the first video off her new album "Kiss Me Once."
The video shows Kylie and a bunch of equally hot babes in white leotards getting all sexy in a gym. It's enough to make you want to work out yourself, at least in your pants.
There's no real nudity, but the video does start with a parental warning about graphic material, which is odd. In this day and age of post-Madonna pop stars who get naked on wrecking balls or waltz through the woods completely nude, this feels almost like a throwback to a simpler, more innocent time.
If we were Kylie's manager, we'd have some advice for her to differentiate herself from the younger, nuder competition. First, the title of the single, it's a bit lame. Instead of "Sexercise," why not something a with a bit more oomph, like "Fuckercise" or "Analsexercise" "Comeallovermercise"? Sure, it's a bit more awkward to sing, but the press would eat it up.
Then there's the video. We like the beat, but could there be a bit more bottom end, like naked rearends. And while we're at it, how about tits. More naked boobs never hurt anyone's career ambitions.
But then we're old, too, Kylie, and enjoy the nostalgic jerk of your video. So, keep it up, and you'll keep us up, too.
