THROWBACK THURSDAY–A Five Question Quickie with Comedienne/Retired Porn Star Alia Janine

Hot MILF performer Alia Janine is done with porno and has moved on to the world of comedy.  She is now performing stand-up regularly.  Janine checked in with us for these five questions about what has changed in her world.

1) Why did you choose to retire from porn?

It stopped being fun for me. I was (am) pissed off about the condom initiative. I truly believe they are violating the performer's human rights by dictating what we can and cannot do with our own bodies, and mostly so they can profit. The market is also over-saturated with free porn because of the tube-site infestation and 100s of new girls coming in every day trying to be the next Lisa Ann. The money is just not there anymore for performers like me.

2) What is your comedy about?

Life. I have had an unconventional life that has led me in so many different directions, meeting all sorts of different people, and having experiences that many people cannot even fathom. I have kept journals and notebooks of stories, one-liners, and just plain randomness pretty much my whole life. I have jokes about things like how my best friend and I met 2 German-speaking cowboys and their gay black best friend in a strip club in Dallas, Tx. Or how my father; the 6’10” 300lbs Vietnam Vet that did 2 tours (because he wanted to) used to pick me up from school events by yelling down the hallways. I am really excited to start sharing my stories through comedy and possibly, even, teach someone something.

3) Would you tell us one of your favorite jokes?

This is such an old one, but it will always be one of my favorites… Imagine you’re driving down the road and in front of you there is a horse. On the left side of you, there is a zebra. Behind you is a unicorn, and to the right of you a cliff. You want to get ahead, but if you speed up you’ll hit the horse, if you turn to the left you’ll hit the zebra if you slow down the unicorn will hit you, and if you go right, you will fall off a cliff. So, what do you do? You get your drunken ass off of the merry-go-round and go home. (Courtesy of my father.)

4) What is coming up for you on the comedy front?

I am currently taken different classes at UCB (Upright Citizen’s Brigade), Manhattan Comedy School, and just finishing up classes from the Comedy Cellar. I have a couple showcase tapings at the Village Underground this month (June 9th and 23rd @6:30pm). I have also been performing at the comedy weekends at the 206 Lounge in the Village, which is hosted by Ryan Hernandez and Erik Levi of the Riding the Pine podcast.

5) If we were having an actual non-interview quickie, what would you want it to include?

The backseat of my car and sandwiches (after) come to mind.
