Thailand Math Textbooks Feature Japanese Porn Star On The Cover

Math is hard, but you know what's even harder? Making sure that images you steal for the cover of your math textbook don't turn out to be from a Japanese porn. According to AVN (link below), that's exactly what happened to one Thai company when assembling images for a new math textbook. 

Muang Thai Book, publisher of math textbooks for Thai high school students, is scrambling to replace three thousand copies of the book after it was pointed out that the girl used as a model on the cover is in fact a Japanese porn star. Two thousand of the text books have already been delivered to ten vocational schools throughout the country, though they have not yet been passed along to students. 

I don't know how Thailand operates, but when I was a kid, we had to slap a brown paper bag over our textbooks, and lord knows this image has probably been behind its fair share of brown paper bags. So what are they doing to make sure they don't repeat this boner in the future?

Procedures are reportedly being put in place to prevent a similar occurrence from happening in the future. "The cover and book design will only use drawings or photos taken by the compilers," said Chaipruek, adding, "There will be no more searching for images on the internet. We have instructed the publishers to be more careful and strict in their publishing procedure."

I'm sure that will work out just fine for everyone involved.
