Paddington Bear isn't quite as beloved here in the States as he is in England, but with a feature film based around the character set to debut next month, Paddington may be on his way to superstardom. The only thing standing in his way, however, is his questionable past which includes starring in a porn back in the 70s.
Okay, so technically it wasn't ever released to the public, and actually may no longer even exist, but according to The Mirror (link below), animator Barry Leith has come clean about involving the polite bear from deepest darkest Peru in a rather lascivious side project.
Barry Leith made the porn film in between shooting scenes in the 1970s - and Paddington took lead role.
We can only imagine what the soft toy did in the seedy adventure but it's Leith has suggested the teddy bear enjoyed it.
Leith, who received a BAFTA nomination for Paddington in 1984, said: "I’m trying to think how to put this delicately. He (Paddington) became aroused.”
It's not known if a copy of the cheeky video still exists after bosses ordered it be destroyed.
I love how polite the Brits are, even when it comes to describing a teddy bear with an erection. Below is a picture of Leith working on the stop-motion Paddington series, giving us what may be the only behind the scenes pic of this legendary moment in Paddington history.
