Your Scorecard of the Power Players of Porn

While faces in front of the cameras may change in the adult industry, those behind the scenes often stay the same. Even though the industry has changed over the past couple of years, mostly due to new technology, a lot of the power players are still the same. Here are some of the biggest movers and shakers in the porn industry.  

When you think of a porn king, your mind instantly goes to Larry Flynt. His Hustler brand has been around for a long time and will continue to be. Flynt is outspoken when it comes to protecting the First Amendment and fighting for net neutrality.  

Peter Acworth is the man behind the fetish and bondage website, Kink.com. The website's success allowed Acworth to buy the old San Francisco Armory for $14.5 million and turn it into Kink.com’s headquarters. The business-minded mogul has considered moving his whole operation out of California and into Nevada.  

Don Braverman runs Doc Johnson, the biggest sex toy company in the industry. His company employs over 500 people, most of its manufacturing is done state side, and this company has put out over 2,500 products in its 39-year history.  

Laszlo Czero is the CEO of Jasmin, one of the largest Cam Girls companies. If you want to talk to a Jasmin model or watch one perform, you pay by the minute. Sometimes costumers can be with a model for hours at a time, which has helped Czero and Jasmin make over a billion dollars.  

Leo Radvinsky runs MyFreeCams, another Cam Girls website, but unlike Jasmin, the models work for tips and usually have larger audiences.  

Derek Hay runs LA Direct Models, the largest adult entertainment talent agency.  

Ron Caldwell is the man behind CCBill, which acts as intermediary between your credit card company and the porn website. That way if anyone checks your credit card statement the porn sites won’t show up.  

Frank Koretsky runs International Video Distributors and East Coast News. Those two companies are the largest distribution companies of DVD porn worldwide.  

With our ever changing technology, it’s hard to say what the next big thing in porn might be, but I’m sure there will someone who will find away to turn a profit.
