Twenty Questions with Porn Beauty August Ames

Canadian August Ames is one of the top new stars of late. She was nominated for Best New Starlet at last year's AVN Awards and those killer, beautiful curves. She was also nominated last year for her excellent POV scene in Kevin Moore/Evil Angel's "Spandex Loads 8", where she got Moore's cock in her mouth and in that pretty pussy of hers. 1. What kind of girl were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?

I went through a lot of different phases in high school. At the beginning of high school, I was very sweet, very quiet. Then as I got older I started hanging out with different crowds. I don't feel like I was anything specific because I was a cheerleader, had good grades, plus I was a big stoner who loved to party on Friday nights.

2. Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?

I never watched porn before I got in the business! All I knew was that Brazzers was a big porn company because all of my guy friends would put the "ZZ" sign under some of the photos I posted on my social media pages (lol.) I never payed much attention to porn.

3. What do you think shaped you into the sexual person that we see in your porno?

That's a loaded question, ha ha ha. I guess all of the different sexual experiences I went through growing up shaped me--good and bad. I didn't enjoy sex when I first had it; I didn't know the point of it. Then when I started expressing myself through sex it was very good therapy. So the person you see now in my videos is a woman who enjoys having sex, and enjoys letting out all of her frustrations during the scene.

4. What/Who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet?

I really want to work with Keisha Grey, Anikka Albrite, Nicole Aniston, and Mia Malkova:):):):):):)!!!!! All are GORGEOUS ladies!! Yeah, sure, there are some great male performers to work with, but working with new girls is more exciting:).

5. Who is your favorite male performer/female performer to work with and why?

My favorite male performer to work with is Manuel Ferrara. He knows what he's doing, he has fun, he is amazing in scenes, and it's no wonder why he won Best Male Performer at AVN for like a billion years in a row. The best part about working with Manuel is that after our scene, we both just go home to our normal lives and he doesn't try to creep on me like some other people, ha ha ha. As for my favorite female performer to work with, it is a three-way tie with Janice Griffith, Carmen Caliente, and Jade Nile. We have a great chemistry, we always have a blast on set, and all girls are really fantastic people.

6. You seem to really love your fans and love talking to them on Twitter. Tell me how having this fan base has changed your life.

Having such an amazing fan base has changed my life for the better because it truly has altered my career. I never thought I would reach 250K followers on Twitter in less than two years of being in the business! Companies like to hire the popular girls for their scenes because, well, it only makes sense, ha ha. So to have such a large fan base and being on the higher ranks on Freeones, that's really what gets companies booking me every day. Plus my fans are super sweet and all they want is to be noticed, that's not too much to ask.

7. What’s your favorite position to get fucked in and why does it get you off?

Doggy!!! It feels the best, my man likes it the best, it's barely any work for me and everyone loves it, ha ha ha. It gets me off because I love having a man in control when we are having sex, and for him to be behind me, inside of me, and thrusting in and out of me, that's just such a big turn on.

8. What did you like most about being directed by Greg Lansky for Blacked?

Greg Lansky lives for beauty. So when he directs his scenes you can really see all of the detail he puts into every little thing. Plus, he is a great guy. We always get along and I enjoy what he has in store for me. He really respects women and he knows what sells so he's very successful. Plus, Blacked is like, Blacked ha ha, it was an honor for me when he shot me.

9. What do you most want to achieve as a porn star?

I just want to be at the top of my game, baby! Once you go into porn it isn't like you can do anything you want after it, like be a teacher or a pastor, ha ha, so when you go into porn, you have to be motherfucking amazing and make your name amazing, so when it's your time to stop performing, you can crossover into mainstream work because your name is so big! That's basically my plan, ha ha. Plus, who wants to half-ass a sex scene that will be seen by a million people, lol???

10. What are the best things about being a porn star?

You get a lot of job offers outside of porn! I've done a lot of mainstream modeling, I've been offered small roles in shows and movies because they knew I would be comfortable with a topless scene, plus I've done some music videos. It's not all about the porn, it's about your brand and branching out. Plus you get recognized in public and it makes you feel good.

11. What do you think are “must-own” titles by your fans?

Well, recently a few great movies have came out that I'm on the cover and I personally believe some of my best sex scenes are in the films Hard X's Brunettes Go Black, Erotica X's Art of Romance 4, Jules Jordan's Oil Overload 12, and Kelly Madison's Real Life 3. All of my Evil Angel scenes in movies like Big Tit Centerfolds 4, Sex Kittens, Crack Fuckers 5, and many more are truly amazing too.

12. What do you like to do for fun?

Honestly, I'm a workaholic, I work all the time! So when I have a day off, my idea of fun is to get my nails redone, go for a nice tan, and just chill out, eat food and watch television. On a really nice day I'll hit up the beach with my girlfriend, but other then that, I'm enjoying being lazy, ha ha.

13. Who are your role models in porn and how/why do they inspire you?

I don't have any role models in porn. There are lots of performers that I admire and hope to one day achieve as much as they have, but honestly I just look up to myself. I know how vain that sounds, but it helps me as a performer. I just look back at the scenes I've done, and it helps me reflect on how I want to improve in the future.

14. How did it feel being nominated for Best New Starlet by AVN?

I was unbelievably honored to have been nominated for Best New Starlet! I also thought I had a really good chance at winning it, ha ha ha, but I guess that didn't happen. It was a good thing I waited for them to say the winners name before I stood up, ha ha ha. I thought Keisha Grey was going to take that cake! These award shows are always full of surprises.

15. What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?

That's always such a hard question. I'll answer it by saying that my favorite series is the Fast and Furious movies, and I really enjoy Scarface, White Oleander, and anything with Mark Wahlberg or Will Ferrell.

16. How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?

I don't watch any porn movies, ha ha! When your whole life is porn the last thing you want to watch when you're trying to relax is a porno.

17. Are you into toys to get yourself off alone or are you a low-tech woman?

I need my vibrator to get off!! I don't even need to finger myself, I just play with my little body wand and I'm seriously coming within a minute.

18. If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be? Give us your male and female choices.

I love this question. For girls, I'm choosing Anna Kendrick, Megan Fox, and Rachel McAdams. And for guys, I know it's weird but I seriously have the biggest crushes on Kevin Spacey, Mark Ruffalo, and I know he's passed away but if he was alive again - Phillip Seymour Hoffman, ha ha ha ha. All of those guys do something different for me. I'm really not into abs or the "pretty boys". I like men. Hard working men who you know who have lived intense lives.

19. What is coming up for you?

Well, hopefully, I will be making my own site this year, and who knows, maybe I'll also be releasing a very special scene, if you know what I mean, wink wink, hee hee hee. Not giving out anymore hints! All I'm saying, is that 2015 is going to be a wild year.
