Only in Florida: Just Another Story About A Bikini-Clad Grandmother Getting A DUI

In my weekly column Only in Florida, I'll be taking you down to the Sunshine State for the latest and greatest sex stories that can only be found in the craziest state in the union.

Life must suck when you're a 49 year old grandmother, still you would think that after getting used to the idea over a period of ten years, one might eventually adjust their behavior and lifestyle choices. Not so for Patricia Ebel, a woman who spent the day drinking at the pool with her ten year old grandson. Patty's bad choices didn't end there, however. In fact, that's just where her problems began...

According to 10 News (link below), the Naples resident was involved in a car crash and then proceeded to fail a field sobriety test while still in her bikini.

Collier County Sheriff's Deputies reported Patricia Ebel, 49, was intoxicated when she drove her BMW into a car that was stopped at the intersection of Goldengate Parkway and Livingston Road.

Ebel was driving with her 10-year-old grandson at the time after the pair had been swimming, deputies said.

Ebel's arrest report states deputies smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Ebel and that she failed field-sobriety-tests.

Ebel is facing DUI charges including driving with a .15-or-greater blood alcohol content (BAC) with a minor in the car.

The moral of the story: If you're gonna drink and drive, at least put on some clothes first.
