I’m pretty sure one of the reasons we love the movies so much is that every now and then, there is a moment so amazing, so unbelievable, so life altering that the world is never the same after we see it. And for many of us that was moment was in 1999 when in Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair shared a kiss in Cruel Intentions.
Now we get relive one of the greatest moments ever captured on film when Gellar and Blair decided to give each other a little smooch while on the red carpet for The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Cruel Intentions. Of course I feel the need to point out that they are doing a musical parody of a remake of Dangerous Liaisons. While I have no idea what the musical parody was like, I’m hoping that there was an entire song about Gellar and Blair kissing and it was that song that inspired them to lock lips once again. Whatever the reason I’m just glad someone was there to capture it on film again.
Honestly I’m a little surprised Hollywood hasn’t tried to remake Cruel Intentions already. Apparently so is Reese Witherspoon - just look at her face. Maybe the musical parody and the sight of Gellar and Blair kissing will get the ball rolling. I’m sure we all have a list of celebrities we’d like to see share a moment like this.
