I’m Willing To Put My Issues With Supergirl Aside To Watch Melissa Benoist

Admit it, Melissa Benoist Is Pretty Hot In A Red Cape

Okay, I’m going to have another honest moment right now: I don’t really like Supergirl. It has nothing to do with the fact she’s a female superhero (I love Wonder Woman, She-Hulk, Jean Grey, and many more), but I always loved the idea that Superman was really alone in the world and then all of a sudden he magical gets a cousin? Come on. Really? But I will say that I am totally going to put those issues aside to watch Melissa Benoist flying and kicking some ass.  

The whole thing where Kara Zor-El is shot into space, but when her rocket gets caught in the explosion of Krypton and becomes encased in a Kryptonite asteroid, but then lands on earth and hasn’t grown up because of suspended animation so she’s younger than Superman always rubbed me the wrong way. I will say that I’m learning to deal with all the issues I have with Supergirl in preparation for sitting down every week and watching Melissa Benoist don the red cape. Even though I think they are going to make reference to that awful Man of Steel movie, seeing Benosit in that short red skirt with those tall red boots and that tight S on her chest, I think I’ll be willing to look past some of the flaws.  

I think all of us nerds will look past a lot of flaws to make sure Supergirl and the beautiful Melissa Benoist stay on the air for a good long time. She does look pretty damn hot in that outfit.
