Checking In with Retired Porn Star Kendra Sunderland

Last year's Vixen Angel of the Year Kendra Sunderland is done performing porn scenes for now. She is still feature dancing and you can see her this Friday and Saturday at Sunset Strip Exit 69 in Portland, Oregon. She also gives plenty of dirty stuff to her friends who follow her on Snapchat. She stars in Vixen's "Club VXN" where she does a super lesbian scene with porn superstar Riley Reid. Here is what Sunderland had to say about her time in porn.

What made this the time for you to decide to retire from porn?

"I decided it was time for me to retire because I feel like there’s nothing more I could want to accomplish. I feel satisfied with my short career and ready to move on!"

How do you feel about your time in porn? What did you love/hate most about it?

"I feel extremely grateful for my time in porn! I’ve gotten to meet so many amazing people and do so many cool things! I loved just shooting and joking around with the crew. They became like family to me. I can’t say there was anything I hated about my experience! It was physically and mentally exhausting at times but I wouldn’t trade it for anything!"

What advice would you give to a woman entering the industry who is a brand new performer?

"My advice to new girls in the industry is: Buy all website domains when you decide what your stage name will be. This will avoid other people buying them and charging you a lot for them!"

What are you most proud of? What DVDs do you think your fans should definitely have?

"I am most proud of my showcase movie 'Kendra’s Obsession'! Fans should definitely have that one because I’m in every scene!"

What would you change about your time in porn, if anything? Do you think you will come back to performing on camera in the future?

"If I could change one thing in porn, it would’ve been my body. I understand that people love me for who I am but I wish I would’ve started working out more often in the beginning! People always tell me that I can come back if I want to and that I probably will one day but I don't know! Maybe I’ll stay away and maybe I’ll come back as a MILF one day; who knows! 

What performers did you most enjoy working with in your scenes?

"It sounds cliche but I seriously loved every performer I’ve worked with! I think I have a favorite but then I’ll think, 'oh I really loved what this person did' or that one! I can’t decide!!"

You have a very special relationship with Greg Lansky. What was his reaction to your decision?

"Greg’s reaction to me leaving the industry will always be special to me. Since the beginning, he has always been there for me and told me that whatever I want, we can make happen. I changed my mind a few times about what I wanted to do and each time, he told me to do whatever would make me happiest. If I want to come back and shoot, he said the door would ALWAYS be open for me. I can’t thank him enough for everything!!!"

What did you enjoy most about being the Vixen Angel of the Year?

"My favorite part about being Vixen Angel of the Year was getting to bring in a new Vixen Angel every month! I love being a part of the ceremonies and the photo shoots were always so cool and tailored to the personality of each girl!! Each new shoot was my new favorite; they just keep getting better!"

What is coming up for you next?

"Right now I’m focusing on bettering myself and saving up! I’m feature dancing a lot before I start school in August! I will still be doing everything I do now except for professional shooting or conventions!"

Is there anything you would like to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?

"To my fans, I would like to say thank you for your constant love and support! The kind words that you say to me really do matter and make a difference in my life! I hope nothing but the same happiness for you all."
