Asa Has It All: An Interview with Wicked Superstar Asa Akira

Asa Is a Sex Machine

Wicked Pictures contract superstar Asa Akira is just the penultimate of what a woman can be and achieve in the adult industry. She has a happy marriage to Evil Angel performer/director Toni Ribas, she is contracted to one of the top production companies in the business, she is a best-selling author with another book on the way, she is a desired feature dancer (you can see her this weekend at Vivid Gentlemen's Club in Houston), and she happily snarks about life, porn, porn sex, and many other topics on her super-engaging Twitter feed that is read daily by over 600,000 people ever day. She stars in AVN Hall of Fame performer/director Brad Armstrong's upcoming porn adaptation of the film Ex Machina that is titled "Sex Bots". Akira really has it all and interviewing this grateful, happy woman was a pleasure.

How has your time been being a Wicked Girl so far?

"I’ve wanted to be with Wicked since before I even started porn, and the novelty has yet to wear off. Aside from just being able to say 'Wicked Girl' over and over to anyone who will listen, there are lots of perks to being under contract with them: I get to choose who I work with, I’m given a say in what types of scenes I do, what types of roles I play, I have a lot more downtime to work on other things, and most of all, I have the chance to be a part of bigger budget productions, which is always really cool."

How has your porn career changed, if at all, after the release of your great memoir "Insatiable”?

"The book release coincided with the beginning of my Wicked contract, so while a lot has changed since I wrote Insatiable, I’m not so sure that, porn-wise, much is different because of it. Indirectly, though, it’s affected a lot in my life - for example, I’ve noticed I have a lot more female fans now, which I love love love. My parents are 2 percent happier with my career choice. I can tell my Uber driver I’m a 'writer' now when I don’t feel like starting a conversation about porn that ultimately ends in them asking if I can get them into the industry."

Congrats on all of the nominations on your star showcase "Asa Akira Wicked Fuck Doll"! What did you learn most from doing that project?

"Thank you! I learned that sometimes when you put a glass marble in your asshole, it’s really hard to get out. I learned that I look better than I had imagined in dark lipstick. Oh, and I learned halfway through an anal scene that I’m not allergic to bee stings, and also that they don’t hurt nearly as much as people make it seem."

How has porn enriched your marriage to Toni Ribas? When you perform with him on-camera is it something you both value?

"I can’t really say porn has enriched our marriage, because by the time we got together, I was already in porn. Sometimes I wonder what our lives will be like once one of us retires—it’s a little bit scary! For now, outside of work, we are monogamous . . . maybe once porn is out of the equation, we will become one of those creepy swinger couples that are always looking for a threeway. Who knows. I love performing with him on-camera, and he for sure loves it too. We are both exhibitionists, so the cameras and surrounding crew only add to the heat."

How was making "Asa Goes To Hell"? What do you think that fans will take from this movie that has not been in your other star showcases?

"Similar to Asa Gets Wicked (my first showcase for Wicked ever,) AGTH was highly stylized, but the difference is that this movie is super dark. I mean, I guess that’s obvious from the title—but the whole movie is super twisted and creepy and I love every scene in it."

What is your favorite type of scene to perform in these days?

"It kind of depends on the day, but DP, gangbang, one-on-one lesbian, and one-on-one boy/girl (straight) scenes are my favorite, not necessarily in that order. I’m not sure that I even could put those in order. DP is physically the best sensation I’ve ever felt, gangbang strokes my ego, and one-on-one scenes just have a level of intimacy that’s impossible to get when another body is added. Oh and I also really love orgies. They’re like the buffet of sex scenes, you get a little taste of everything."

At Wicked, is there anyone whose career you really admire?

"Everyone, really. One thing that drew me to Wicked in the first place was the longevity of their stars/directors’ careers. Steve Orenstein (the owner) is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met, and I have such respect for him. He’s built a really amazing brand with Wicked, and I’m beyond honored to now be a part of it. Jessica and Stormy are both stars I’ve admired for a long time, and I’m still getting over the fact that I get to fuck them."

What can you share about the gangbang in the upcoming Wicked release "Sexbots"?

"It’s my first gangbang in over 4 years, and my biggest one ever! I was playing the role a malfunctioning, sex-crazed robot, which was not too much of a reach for me."

There is an all-girl threeway in "Sexbots" between you, Stormy Daniels, and jessica drake. How was being in that all Wicked threeway?

"I was really anxious. I’d had sex with each of them individually, but never together—and it was the first time all the Wicked Girls were in one scene, so I definitely felt the pressure. I can’t wait to see the end product, because between my nervousness, horniness, and excitement, the whole scene went by in what felt like .05 seconds."

Is there anything you would like to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?

"Thanks for jerking off to me! My new movies coming out are “Sexbots"(duh), “The J.O.B” (directed by Brad Armstrong, starring me and jessica drake), and “Indiscretions” which I’m about to start shooting in a few days with Stormy Daniels.
