Fleshtunes: The Arabelle Raphael Edition

Curvy alt sensation Arabelle Raphael makes me happy every time I watch her in anything, so naturally, I am not at all shocked that her Fleshtunes song selections rule. Enjoy!

1. There is a Light That Never Goes Out: The Smiths.

I adore The Smiths in general. For this song, I love the light and upbeat music along with such sad and morbid lyrics. The desperateness in his voice feels honest and ernest.

2. OM-Rays Of The Sun/To the Shrinebuilder.

Two of the guys in this band where in another band I love called Sleep. The music on this track is heavy and hypnotizing as their vocals are chant-like, reminiscent of monks.

3. The Chain: Fleetwood Mac.

This is my favorite break up song! It's funny to think about what was going on in the band while they wrote and performed this. I love Stevie's wailing and the breakdown at the end is pretty heavy for it's time and genre.

4. Darling Nikki: Prince.

No song turns me on like this one. RIP Prince.

5. 'T'ain't Nobody's Business If I Do: Billie Holiday.

Pretty much my motto and her voice is glorious.
